ok since im here i might as well start somethin... these are signups. the real thing will start in about 1-3 weeks depending on the amount of signups i get. i automatically allow anyone who ive rped with many times before, meaning galacion, aj, etc. you know who you are.

Tartarus V is a small planet graced by a single barren wasteland. The desert doesn’t end for miles, and when it finally does, it only runs into a craggy mountainous terrain filled with twisted spires that spell certain demise for any who enter. Not a single trace of water can be found above ground, and the liquid has to be mined from small pockets within the earth. The planet supports no natural life, its residents being solely from other worlds. They live in the only shelter constructed on the world, identified by a single large sign on the front of the building.

Titan Vice Interdimensional Correctional Institute.

A forsaken pit on a dead world, and by far one of the bleakest holes in the MultiVerse. Concrete and steel stretch languidly towards the sky, making the complex look more like a dead oil refinery rather than a prison. The towering fortress of domination sits near the edge of the desert, to prevent the winds and sandstorms from completely destroying its miserable existence. It is filled with the worst kinds of beings: super-human criminals from across dozens of worlds. Each prisoner is judged according to their crimes and threat levels, and sentenced to a different area of the jail.

TVICI, or “Vicky” as the inmates have dubbed the prison, is made up of five vertically segmented levels, each of which is broken again into five horizontally segmented “chambers”, with the largest chamber in the center and the other four all at its corners. This results in the aerial view of the prison resembling the fifth side of a cubic die. The two top most levels’ chambers are connected by metal walkways, while the lower three levels’ halls are made with reinforced permabond plascrete, ensuring maximum durability and endurance. The separate stories are each connected by heavily guarded and maintained elevators. Each level of the building is home to a different kind of criminal, with all of its sections devoted to their “rehabilitation”.

Level 3, “The High Life”: The topmost segment of TVICI is actually more like a drug recovery center and day spa than a prison. The prisoners are allowed to roam freely as long as they are within their rooms by curfew, and the cafeteria serves four five course meals a day. Most of the inmates spend the day studying interdimensional laws and regulations to prevent further incursions upon the law.

The segments are broken up: Middle (M)-Exercise and Group Therapy, Northwest (NW)-Cafeteria, Northeast (NE)-Living Quarters, Southwest (SW)-Lavatories and Showers, Southeast (SE)-Education and Library.

Level 2, “The Barracks”: The second highest level is where the staff resides, including the Warden. The reason for residing on the second level is for the guards to be able to quickly respond to both level one and level three, which are fairly more active than levels B1 or B2. Not just limited to the guards, the psychologists and medics live in this level as well. Attached to the outside of the second level of the prison is a landing pad for interdimensional vehicles, the processing station for new inmates, and the only door in or out of the correctional facility. The middle section of this area is also where the security cameras are monitored and guard droids maintained.

The segments are broken up: Middle (M)-Various offices, Northwest (NW)-Chow Hall, Northeast (NE)-Living Quarters, Southwest (SW)-Infirmary/Sick bay, Southeast (SE)-Guard training and kennel.

Level 1, “The Slam”: Where most violators are kept and the beginning of what appears to be the “real prison”. A giant dome of bullet proof, magnetized glass filled with steel net and plastic mesh covers the middle section of this level, allowing the inmates to view the sun and sky during yard time. Prisoners are accompanied and watched by guards everywhere they go, during all times of the day. Fights and gangs are a constant on these levels for entertainment, since much contraband doesn’t get through, especially with the constant pervasiveness of the guards. This level contains mostly lower level super humans with few powers that don’t need special restraints. On occasion one may see another inmate with a dampener collar or CEMP tag on, but not that often. Any sign of powers is met by a squadron of guards and dogs from the level above, and usually severe punishment, such as being sent to the first basement level.

The segments are broken up: Middle (M)-Courtyard, Northwest (NW)-Cells, Northeast (NE)-Mess Hall, Southwest (SW)-Showers and toilets, Southeast (SE)- Library

Level B-1, “The Pit”: The second largest part of the prison, and by far the most dangerous. This level is where the true super-humans reside, each stripped of their powers by a unique, individual containment unit. Often this section looks more like an insane asylum rather than a Correctional institute: men in metal masks wander the prison yard, voices muffled to prevent sonic damage from happening to the walls, giant brutes doped up on enough depressants to kill a rhinoceros in order to keep them docile sit idly, and skinny boys covered in paper talismans to prevent them from teleporting away cry themselves to sleep. This area is the least patrolled by the guards, as it is usually fairly quiet. All rooms are equipped with speakerphones to allow the guards to be even lazier and simply give voice commands to go out to every room. The only room patrolled on a regular basis is the courtyard, where there is a metal walkway above the reach of the prisoners. Contraband floats a little easier on this level, especially with the general lack of guard on inmate contact.

The segments are broken up: Middle (M)-Courtyard, Northwest (NW)-Showers and toilets, Northeast (NE)-Cells, Southwest (SW)-Mess Hall, Southeast (SE)- Exercise area/ Therapy Administration

Level B-2, “The Cooler”: If by some freak chance a super human ends up on this level of the prison, they may as well have died. Reserved only for the strongest and/or the most perverse lawbreaker, the second basement level is home to the super-humans that put the others to shame. People and creatures on the verge of apotheosis are contained here, kept away from the other prisoners to prevent them from freeing their weaker comrades. Each individual on this level is kept in a specialized containment unit and restraints, and then sent by any means necessary into a cryogenic coma to serve their sentences. Due to the high rate of immortality in those that are sent to this section, several inmates of Level B-2 have been there for lifetimes. There is one, and only one way into or out of The Cooler, and that is by special elevator via the Warden’s office. This level is also where evidence gathered against prisoners and their personal items are kept. In an effort to keep these prisoners safest of all, the chambers have been rotated to ensure the maximum level of rock between the prisoners and the surface.

The segments are broken up: Middle (M)- Cryo-Induction, Maintenance, and Backup generators, North (N)-Cells, East (E)-Cells, South (S)-Cells, West (W)- Evidence and personal effects

The security measures extend beyond just restraints, curfews, and reinforced walls though. The guards of TVICI are an extension of the penal system itself: Hard hitting, cybered-up super soldiers decked out in plasteel battle suits and outfitted with high velocity empathic ammunition (to add an extra psionic punch) for their rifle of preference: an assault shotgun or the standard fully automatic submachine gun. What’s worse though is that many of the most recent guards have been “recruited” right from the inmates themselves and contain some of the super-human powers their ex-comrades do. To top it off, each guard is regularly prescribed dosages of natural and artificial steroids for increased speed, strength, and stamina, and a bottle of what’s been dubbed SIKE by the inmates: psychic amplification pills to increase current and generate new powers.

Hardly being alone though, the guards have back up in the forms of attack dogs and mechanized assault units. The canines are more specifically magical beasts, amped up on SIKE to increase their capabilities. The first kind, Hellhounds, are notorious for being fireproof and being able to ignite flames themselves with their sulfurous breath. The Barghests on the other hand are capable of seeing the spiritual energies of all beings present and thus being able to recognize invisible and hidden creatures. The robotic assault drones are called out during riots and other such events, two tons of metal synchronized with the resurrected brain of a deceased guard, every drone is immune to EMP shockwaves and psychic attacks thanks to a specialized natural battery system and psionic-crystalline polymer encasement for the human organ. Due to the fact that the drones have never been seen in action, their exact capabilities are unknown, but the grenade launcher attached to either shoulder suffices enough threat to get the point across that they aren’t to be toyed with.

The mechanical workings of the jail are by far above average as well. Armored security cameras that digitally link up to a reception and monitoring stations on the second level are placed throughout the prison on a pervasive basis, which in combination with the guard patrols nearly destroys privacy for any inmate. All security cameras are equipped with miniature chain-gun turrets loaded with rubber ammunition, except on the second basement level where live ammo is present. All exits and entryways including those of the elevators have three different doors made of solid steel two inches thick, galvanized, and magnetized to repel energy based attacks. On top of this, each door has a series of electronically controlled locks both of the manual and magnetic variety that requires the voice recognition, retinal scan, and barcode tattoo scan of a guard to open.

OOC Notes:

If you’ve made it this far, thanks for taking a peek! This is my first game GMed in RR and if you sign up I hope you enjoy it. What you’ve just read is the setting and some of the extra info for the game. In Pandora’s Box you are able to play an inmate of quite possibly one of the baddest prisons in the MultiVerse. While there are several plot directions that this RPG could go, I’m expecting as a general rule that your character won’t want to stay there for too terribly long. Due to the fact that this is a MultiVerse RPG and that your characters will be inductees into the jail, and therefore I’m requesting only MV approved characters be applied, and that no one post a “prison veteran” character. While the character may be perfectly fine, I believe growth is an important part of an RPG, and it isn’t always in power. Sometimes characters have to get use to specific conditions, or experiences and situations must push our characters to their limits in order for growth to happen. “Situational veteran” chars just don’t have room for that, otherwise they’d have gotten out of the particular condition they were in.

Bios: Other than the aforementioned rule, I do have some specifics on bios I’d like you to take into consideration when choosing or making your character for this RPG.

Name: It’s up to you!

Race: Could care less! Freaks and oddities encouraged! If “Immortal” is listed, please keep in mind that immortality does not constitute invincibility, and you should play your character as such.

Age: TVICI accepts members of any age as long as they are able to be held accountable for their crimes.

Gender: Due to the level of technology at TVICI, members of both genders are accepted. The largest gang on Level 1 is actually made of female members of various species.

Personality/Personality Alignment: Just because you broke the law doesn’t mean you’re a bad guy! Any are allowed, but I would suggest that you keep in mind the attitude it takes to survive in prison. A flower picking fairy-child will end up as lunch meat behind bars. Probably non-kosher too…If you’ve been dying for a chance to play an evil character, this game might be your chance.

Physical Description: Needless to say, just be creative; however keep in mind that one you’re inside the gates its standard dress: orange cargo pants, Black standard issue underwear (including undershirts), orange button-down collared dress shirts, and combat boots.

Equipment: Even though you won’t have direct access to it in this game, still include your character’s standard equipment. It will be collected as evidence or personal effects and kept in storage within the prison.

Supernatural Capabilities: Just keep it within your assessed level. Restraints placed on your character will reduce them to a level two, borderline three MAXIMUM. It is entirely more likely that your character is reduced to a level one by his or her special containment units.

History: I humbly request that you do not include how you were captured or for what crimes in your history. I feel that if I knew how you were captured, it would prevent me from creating original restraints for them while imprisoned, and I would prefer it if you PMed me your list of crimes for acceptance and so that the other players won’t know. You’ll find out more about your crimes later on in this post.

Alright! Now to the fun part: What were you imprisoned for? To prevent intense godmodding and keep your MV character in check, I’ve devised a charting system to determine what law you broke and where you’ll be kept based upon your assessed level. Granted, we may have a mixed party, which is why the levels overlap. If your character is too far away from the standard level of the party, certain events may transpire In Game to allow them to be further imprisoned. Time frames are measured in “cycles” which equate to the general lifespan of a human (around 70 years).

Power levels 1-3, Level Three, “The High Life”: This section is reserved for those who’ve made minor infractions upon the law: accidentally causing the extinction of a minor species, imitation of a minor deity with an incredibly primitive race, crossing interdimensional transfer portals but not causing an accident, unintentional interdimensional litter, etc. Maximum Sentence: A quarter of a cycle. Minimum Sentence: One Twelfth of a cycle.

Power levels 3-6, Level One, “The Slam”: This is where true criminals finally begin to appear and minor nuisances don’t. People who have willingly killed an entire species, successfully impersonated a deity with a primitive race, crossed interdimensional transfer portals causing a fatality, purposefully done interdimensional littering or graffiti, accidentally killed a Guardian or member of The Balance, or unintentionally aided and abetted a sliver are kept in this section. Maximum Sentence: One and a half cycles. Minimum Sentence: Three Quarters of a cycle.

Power levels 6-8, Level B-1, “The Pit”: Only the most depraved or powerful make it to this level. Beings that have successfully committed genocide, impersonated a deity with a sentient race, hunted a Radiant Shatter, ripped permanent holes in the fabric of reality by crossing multiple transfer holes at once, willingly hunted/killed a Guardian or member of The Balance, interdimensional kidnapping, or intentionally aided and abetted a known interdimensional criminal or sliver are sent to The Pit. Maximum Sentence: Two hundred cycles. Minimum Sentence: Five cycles.

Power levels 8-10, Level B-2, “The Cooler”: Beings or creatures on Level B-2 probably have planes of Hell named after them on their home universe…if their home universe exists anymore. World Destruction, Slaughter of multiple races (usually on a global scale), murder of multiple Guardians/members of The Balance, attempted creation of a universe without a license, attempted dethroning of a deity, or successfully hunting a Radiant Shatter earn themselves the long sleep of cryostasis in Level B-2. Maximum Sentence: There has not been a level set for sentencing within The Cooler, however, a previous inmate once served ten thousand, three hundred and thirty four cycles before being released. Two hours later he was in custody again and sentenced to another ten thousand three hundred and thirty four cycles. Minimum Sentence: There is no minimum sentence; however the shortest stay in Level B-2 was approximately thirty seconds when a guard was found to have been replaced by an inmate who had removed his dampener collar.

For reference when writing the Guards are anywhere between levels 4 and 5, the dogs are between levels 3 and 4, and the mechanized assault drones are between 6 and 7 . So albeit they are the enemies, they aren’t fodder, so please don’t treat them as such.

So, that’s it! I look forward to seeing your characters. Feel free to PM me any questions you may have.

Crasendolls

Name: Ktlre kgitych

Race: Yautja (its what the predator calls itself

Age: 45 home world years

Gender: Male

Personality: His personnality is hard to distinguish since the only language he can speak is the native tongue of his race. What can be tolled is that he is very agressive and takes nothing from nobody

Physical Description: The creature known as the Predator, or Yautja in its own language, is a humanoid creature standing approximately 2.5 meters tall. While the yautja's body may be humanoid in appearance, this cannot be said for its face. Having been described as having a face like a "mutated crab", the yautja possess a very distinct look. The most prominent feature of this look are four mandibles which protrude from and surround a smallish mouth filled with sharp teeth. These mandibles are used for communicating much like a cat uses its tail to communicate its mood. The yautja also have a verbal language of clicks and chirps and are capable of mimicking other verbal languages to a degree. On their head, the yautja have course bristly "hair" which is twisted into dreadlocks. An average yautja weighs between 250-350 lb., most of this being pure muscle. The yautja have very little body fat due to their predatory lifestyle and diet.
Skin color is generally a pasty yellow mottled with black spots. Eye color is yellow. The yautja are much stronger and faster than an average human. They possess lightning quick reflexes. Their blood is green with a phosphoresent quality which has properties that protect them against the caustic effects of their favorite prey's blood. As far as sensory perceptions, it is believed that they are similar to humans, however, it is a common practice for yautja to employ technology to heighten their senses.
Yautja reproduction is similar to humans. It has been noted that an enraged female yautja would be a handful for a fully armed warrior yautja. This would imply that the female of the species may be even larger, stronger, and faster than the male.
As far as environment, it appears that the yautja prefer hot, humid conditions with an atmosphere rich in nitrogen.

Equipment: Armour a retracting double sided spear cloaking device wristblades that retract and extend net gun on there wrist shoulder mounted plasma gun a mask that allows them to see diffrent types of heat radiation etc
A self destruction device that can wipe out entire civilizations

Supernatural Capabilities: his stength far exceeds that of a human his agility and leg power are also very strong

History: There is not much to his past other then that of a normal Yautja, He was very intelegent and very strong. He became a noble and respected hunter. He fell from the path of his race and is now in this prison

Name: Shino Morikaku aka "Res Adversae"

Race: Sinal -- Like an Angel in a way, but different kinds of abilities to different individuals

Age: 7,894 in human years (you will find out why)

Gender: Male

Personality/Personality Alignment: He is a very odd one. He is extremely intelligent (human IQ scales register him at 500), and can be very manipulative. He never really talks alot, but he does smile... occassionally. Last few times he smiled was when he commited a crime. He is however calm, even when he commits a crime.

Physical Description: http://www.sandara.net/anime/blackdream.jpg I paste this because it IS my image, I have done most of the art on that site.

Equipment: Just his clothing.

Supernatural Capabilities: Flight, Telepathy, Mind Control, and Blood Manipulation.

History: He was at one time a normal Sinal. He obeyed the laws, and even enjoyed his friends and family. However, at the age of 24, he grew tired of it all, as his life seemed to go into a depressive rant. Most Sinal abilities are kept dormant, until something drastic happens. It did, he watched his gf, his family, all die before him. Not his fault either. After that, he went psycho, bent on revenge.. and past that.

Imprisoned For: Well, first, he killed those that killed his family and love. Then, he decided to kill their whole race, which counts as Xenocide. Then, he went on to impersonate a Deity, only to kill another race of people, and has done many other smaller things in between.

Imprisoned In" Level B-2, "The Cooler" -- Originally planned for 3000 Cycles, he may be released very soon into "The Pit" after having served only about 264 Cycles. Who knows though?

OOC: If you dont like this tell me what you want changed, I like this idea alot. Nice to see you back.

ooc- thanks for the support zexion, its true my rps die out quickly, why i have no idea, i guess people only worry about kingdom hearts style rps now. oh and i forgot, not only will i be the GM for this rp i will also join it. so heres my profile:

Name: Ekim
Age: 15
Race: Human
Class: Mercenary
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 130
Alignment: Neutral

Physical Appearance:

Ekim is a boy with a golden tan, about the regular size for children his age. He has two different colored eyes: one green, one black, both colors move constantly as if they were a void. His hair is black, but with white streaks running down it every 3 inches. He is pretty buff for kids his age, and has the hands fit for handling a Reaper(scythe).

Attire:

He wears black pants, with black and red Converse shoes. He wears a white Wife Beater style shirt and a black hoodie.

Personality:

He usually keeps to himself, not seeming to know he exists until people speak to him. But when around his friends, he is happy, until angered. His temper is NOT something to be trifled with.

Weapon(s):

Twin Kammas: (kammas are small, hand-held scythes used for short range combat, but if needed, can be thrown a distance and deal great damage to an enemy's body if thrown right)one is black one is white. The colors represent the good, and evil in us all. They both contain a poison syrum of which Ekim brewed himself one day. So if his target is not killed from his strike, they will soon enough.... About 20 minutes, depending on the blood flow of the target.

Throwing Stars: He crafts these himself with what metal he finds on his missions. They also contain a poison inside of their blades.

Attacks:

Upwards Slash: An upper-cut with his kamma's blade facing outward and striking dead center.

Star Toss: Throws his stars at speeds of 70 mph at whatever he pleases. He rarely misses.

Skills:

Fury: When angered, Ekim attacks relentlessly. Whenever something gets between his target and himself, is diced in a few seconds.

History:

Ekim was abandoned as a child by his parents, and was raised in a temple just South of Jamaica, on a small island. He learned the arts of stealth, and how to handle poisons, and eventually became immune to them. He is a Mercenary-for-Hire, doing jobs most mercenaries won't dare to do, that is until, he decided to go after something big. He was hired to assassinate the king of Tartarus I. From earth he had to make many holes in the dimensional rift, causing a few black holes near some systems. When he got to Tartarus I he had taken on a few other jobs as well, assassinating other leaders for the leaders of the underworld (gangs all that kind of stuff if you know what the underworlds are. and no they arent the places you go when you die) and recieving wonderfully large amounts of money for them. Unfortunately he did not get to spend it, or keep it for very long. Shortly after his assassination of Tartarus I's leader, he was arrested and immediately sent to TVICI. He was first sent to The Slam, but eventually 'earned' his way down to The Pit, where he resides now, for many more years.
