[Face My Fears]

this episode reminded me how much i hate waiting for weekly episodes and the finale 2 weeks after that because i dont want to wait and see what happens i want it to keep going!!! also the filming for the entire show is great switching from tv style to the mcu film style filming is absolutely aesthetically pleasing

I feel like WandaVision would have been best if the first 3 episodes got released all at once, then gone weekly. But it's nice to have something to look forward to every Friday.

I'm still waiting on answers about Quicksilver. Since his appearance, that's all I care about. I need an explanation for the mutants/X-Men!

I really liked this episode. Seeing Monica's powers activate is cool. I'm guessing they have something to do with electricity?

Regarding Agatha, I'm really glad that they did the reveal at last. I was actually getting to a point where I thought they may not have her as anyone special after all.

I wonder if Wanda's reality altering spell combined with whatever is in Agatha's basement accidentally opened the multiverse?

What the child (who presumably can read minds) said to Agatha was interesting - she was empty inside. I wonder if he can only read the minds of people from the MCU universe, thus implying that Agatha is not from that universe? That would explain the version of Quicksilver that she summoned being the X-Men one and not the Avengers one.

Or maybe some dark spirit is possessing Quicksilver? Agatha could have pulled a Quicksilver from another universe and controlled him somehow? It would be so cool if the X-Men (from that universe) came to WandaVision to save him.

Lastly... Marvel needs to upload Agatha All Along to their channel as an official version because they are losing out on tons of views right now.

That's possible. If we take "Agatha All Along" as the real way events played out, it looks like Agatha showed up after the sitcom started and she used magic on Pietro after he appeared there (and moments before he appears "dead" to Wanda.

Jimmy found out that they were trying to bring Vision back online, so maybe they weren't that far from completion when Wanda stole his body? Maybe that's why she went in the first place? She found out that: 1) they were trying to bring him back (what she wants) and 2) were going to use him as their slave (which she didn't want, so she hid him in a fake reality)?

For all we know, Agatha's magic is what made Vision break apart when he tried to escape The Hex - which is the biggest piece of evidence that Vision is still "dead". But "Agatha All Along" basically proved that Agatha was manipulating a lot in The Hex. The same way that she was keeping Dr. Darcy and Vision away from Wanda in the last episode, she could have put a spell on Vision to keep him in The Hex. I think it all comes back to the fact that Vision has the mind stone again, which he shouldn't have even if they brought him back to life. I feel like Agatha or whoever she works with wants it.

I don’t think Major Goodner was the aerospace engineer. Her and her team just built and delivered it, while someone else designed it. I could be wrong because they don’t really make it clear, but I just have a feeling that reveal is yet to come.

Well given that the general direction of the MCU seemed to be heading towards space/magical threats, it seemed natural to introduce Agatha at this point. WandaVision is definitely the MCU's attempt to introduce the audience to the more complicated powers/universe rules. There was no way WandaVision's subject matter could have been a film, even if they cut out the sitcom stuff. There's just way too much to introduce and expect the audience to accept in a movie. I think MARVEL is smart to get all of that stuff out of the way now, so that it'll be easier to digest in the films. You can't just dump multiple universes, reality shaping abilities and more magical abilities in one film and expect the audience to process it all - which is seemingly the direction MARVEL is going.

I get what your saying, and that's good if they want to introduce "new" characters, but I also think of Wanda and SWORD's scuffle as less of a good vs bad situation, and more "This is a terrible situation for everyone and we need to work together". Obviously there would be antagonists, but not villains per say

Well to be honest, we can't say for sure who Agatha is even working with. For all we know, she is working with SWORD to get back the mind stone from Vision. We don't even know if The Hex is completely Wanda's doing or something to do with Agatha.

Besides the SWORD guy is going to attack The Hex soon. So it's just building up to multiple things that Wanda will have to deal with - Agatha, SWORD and any other guests that may appear.

Agatha Harkness is a very important character in Scarlet Witch (Wanda)'s story arc in the comics. She is the quintessential "witch" character, with magic abilities akin to the Doctor Strange stuff (which is the direction the MCU is taking). Black robes, way older than she should be, a black cat familiar (which in the show is probably her rabbit with some type of illusion over it) that can turn into a panther and has the ability to sense magical entities nearby. She herself has illusion magic, and can interact with "nearby similar dimensions". She had a son in the comics named Nicolas Scratch, so that's already something they've loosely referenced.

Normally, Agatha is dark and cackly but not necessarily a "villain". In the comics she has been Scarlet Witch's mentor, the one that shows her that her cosmic powers are actually magic and how to control them better. They've had spats before, but Agatha has never been a "villain" perse.

What's interesting is that apparently Agatha Harkness first appeared in Marvel in Fantastic Four comics, as the nanny in charge of taking care of Mr. Fantastic's son. Then she revealed she was a witch that survived Salem.

Now, they might be going for something completely different for Agatha in the MCU, so her backstory and motivations may be different. Just know that she isn't from "out of nowhere", and that many predicted this reveal would happen.

I can see where you're coming from. But knowing what we know about the lineup of Phase 4 and the timeline of their releases, then it appears the first half will focus almost entirely on setting up the Doctor Strange sequel, the introduction of the Fantastic Four, and possibly the X-Men. So, the character that has the closest analogue to cosmic/magical powers in Wanda's lore, with similar powers to Wanda's own, and with comic book references to the First Family, Agatha Harkness, is actually something that would make the most sense in the context of linking this all together, however loosely.

I wouldn't be surprised if she herself isn't necessarily "evil', but rather is being "imagined" to be, as in Wanda's subconscious is turning Agatha into a villain to justify defending herself and keeping the Hex up. That would explain why she appears to be so hammy as a villain. Maybe it'll be revealed that Agatha is real, and really can do magic, but was living in West View when the Hex came up. Idk, it's probably not the case, but I imagine there's more to it than just "I'm evil, hahaha".
