Wait.... Xehanort's Heartless?

ok ok, soo... Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless was defeated in KH1, correct? now, how can he show up in CoM if he was destroyed by the light? im lost here.... -_-

well, u know how u fought Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless in KH1, and u fought Xemnas... they ALL have ties to Ansem the Wise, right? soo... if theres gonna be like a pattern here in the KH series(including the next one with Ven, Terra, and Aqua), shouldnt that mean that u have to fight a remnant of Xehanort? like since the next is gonna be in the past, and if there IS a pattern, it sounds probable...

Yeah. Since ansem possessed riku a fragment of him remained inside riku constantly trying to get him to use the darkness in his heart which would let ansem gain control again and namine made a card so that riku could get rid of this part of ansem.

so the "Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless" in CoM was only an illusion from the drakness in Riku's heart?

Xehanort's Heartless was never destroied. What you saw, was Xehanort's Heartless with Riku's possesed body getting sucked into Kingdom Hearts. In his weaken form, Riku was able to recover his body. After Riku defeated Xehanort's Heartless in CoM, Xehanort falls silent, but not dead. The reason Riku was able to transform into Xehanort's Heartless, was because X'sH was inside him.

When Ansem's machine exploaded, Xehanort's Heartless might have escaped. Firstly, because Riku returns to his origonal form. Secondly, Mickey tells Riku that he does not belong to the dark realm anymore. Though it is only asumption, I believe that Xehanort's Heartless escaped.

Xehanort's heartless lived inside of Riku for a while until the end of KH2, that's how Xehanort's heartless was fighting Riku in KHCoM and how Riku looked like Xehanort's heartless in KH2...
