Violin
The bow glides across blue strings
No one can hear her silent screams
Her tears fall lightly to the ground
Her sobs can make no sound
The violin makes no music
The bow makes no trick
The strings do not vibrate
Its only intention is to sedate
Ribbons fall from the blue strings
The bow glides while she sings
Scars will be left behind
Only for her friends to find
Her song is of love and pain
Sorrow has never been so plain
Rather than hurt another with her fists
She plays the violin on her wrists
I don't remember when I wrote this, but it was a few years ago, while I was still in High School. It was my first published poem.
True Blue Rose
Good night, my Blue Rose, I wish you sweet dreams
While you dream, I want you to dream about this
Someone who will never ask you to change who you are
Someone who will love you no matter what
I want you to find this person
Not the people who get upset that you need something more than what you are getting
Not someone who will fight you
Someone who will work with you
I want your dreams to be of someone who loves you for all that you are
Rather than for someone you are not
When you find this person, hold onto them
A red rose is easy to find, so are yellow ones and pink ones
I want you to find your own Blue Rose
Male or female, long hair or short, a true Blue Rose is a Blue Rose no matter what
Some don't believe that Blue Roses exist, so they settle on red ones
While pretty, they are everywhere
But you have proved that they do, and they are so rare that you can not buy them in a shop
Some believe that they can only be made, but an artificial blue rose is still a while rose
You don't want a white rose with dye, you want a blue one
Part of the inspiration for this was the song "The Last Blue Rose".
Song of Storms
Let it rain
Let it rain
Bring the sky's teardrops of pain
Listen to Her sobs
As the rain does drop
Thunderstorms
Lightning Storms
Loudly Her emotion forms
While Her silent tears come down
Falling down
Falling down
Pitter patter on the ground
Darkness covers all
Quietly they fall
All Her tears
All Her fears
Swiftly now Her Hero nears
Riding through the rain for Her
Should I maybe post more?
