Setting and Background:
Ventura Academy has been open for many years. It is a school that teaches fighting to those who wish to learn. Many parents send their kids there so they can grow up strong. In the academy there are many clans that war for dominance. The main way they battle is one-on-one fights in the virtual room. Sometimes, when there is a big war between the clans. They decide the winner in a big battle in the rumble arena. All fights are virtual, mostly everything physical is virtual, except the daily workout routine the students run to stay in shape.
Most students use weapons, but they can also use magic in the virtual world. The weapons are stored in a blue orb most students carry with them. It resembles a Pokeball, and if you don’t know what that is look it up, but it is blue with a black X on it and a white dot in the middle of the of the X. If you press the button and toss the ball up, it will disappear and the weapon stored in it will appear. The size of the weapon does not matter, but it can only hold one weapon, or a pair of weapons. Students can carry up to six at a time. All the weapons are virtual, as are the balls the weapons are stored in. Students can change their clothes and armor for their appearance in the virtual world. Out side of the virtual world, all students dress in the uniform.
Most students dress in the uniform which I will add a link to at the bottom of this message. Some students in certain clans wear different things to identify themselves. Some wear medieval armor, others wear more modern armor, some try and make futuristic armor. Some just wear regular clothes.
Students learn how to fight in various classes, which include all types of weapons and martial arts. There are also classes in which students can learn better control of their magic.
In the virtual training room, and also the testing grounds, students will face monsters of varying levels, from 1-10, and when they pass that, they face boss monsters from level 1-10. Boss monsters at level 1 are twice as strong as level 10 monsters. It takes a master to defeat a level 5 boss, and any higher is a great achievement. At some tests and event, they will pit students of different clans against one another for the entertainment of the teachers and others who come to watch.
Magic
There are 7 types of magic. Some are offensive in nature, others defensive, but all can be used for both. Magic can be used with spells, and it can also be combined with fighting styles.
Fire: Fire is the strongest of the offensive magic’s. It is the most common of all magic’s, but one of the hardest to master. It usually comprises of breathing fire and throwing fireballs. Advanced users can summon pillars of fire within a certain area, and can also bend the fire to their will; creating shapes and making it chase people. Some few gifted people have the ability to use fire armor, which protects them from any fire attack and most other attacks. A master can create animals which have wills of their own, and can also give them orders. Fire is weak against Water and strong against Metal.
Water: Water is one of the middle magic’s. It is both good offensively in attacking with tidal waves, and defensively in the fact it can heal people. Most beginners have to have a source to the water they control, like a river or creek. When you become a master you can summon it from the atmosphere or from beneath the soil. Most techniques involve using water as a whip, but advanced techniques involve tidal waves, whirlpools, and sometimes creating quick sand. A sub-group of water is ice. It is not given its own subject like bone, because all ice users can also use water, whereas all bone users cannot use metal. Water is weak against lightning and strong against fire.
Lightning: Lightning is one of the most accurate offensive magic’s, and it has little application in defense. Most beginners have to summon the lightning from the sky to strike their opponents. Some advanced users can simply cast it from their fingers. The only defense that can be used is having electricity course through your body that will zap anyone who touches you, and that can only be done by an adept user without it shocking themselves.. Lightning is strong against water and weak against earth.
Earth: Earth is one of the middle magic’s. It can be used both offensively, and defensively. Offensively, you can hurl boulders at your opponent and cause avalanches, earthquakes, and fissures. Defensively, you can build walls of earth, and armor out of it. Earth is probably the second strongest armor magic. Earth is strong against lightning and weak against air.
Air: Air is leaning toward offensive, but it also defensive though some don’t think so. In offense, you can send gusts of wind and tornadoes, sometimes hurricanes. In defense you can blow away your enemies, or use the air for longer jumps than most. You can also use it to increase your speed. Air is strong against earth and weak against metal.
Metal: Metal is sometimes said to be the strongest magic overall. It is definitely the strongest defensive magic, no one disputes over that, but whether it is the strongest offensively is sometimes argued over. The only real thing you can use metal as is hardening the carbon in your body until it gives your skin the hardness of diamond, but the appearance of metal. Almost nothing but the hottest flames can hurt this armor, and it is resistant to water as it is rust proof. You could stand in the middle of a gale, and it would be lucky to move you an inch. You can withstand most attacks, but when two metal master’s fight, the results are said to be disastrous. The density of the metal armor differs on the experience of the user. A beginner could probably increase the hardness to that of a level 3, with diamond being a 10 and human skin being a 1. An adept user could make it level 6, and a master could make level 9-10. Metal is strong against air and weak against fire.
Bone: Bone is a kind of sub-group of metal magic. It is the rarest of the magic’s and the hardest to master of them all. It involves drinking a lot of milk, and some painful rearrangements in the body. The milk is to harden the bones, which you can only achieve if you posses this magic. Normal humans can do it to, but not to the degree of bone-magic users. It is not as hard as diamonds, but on the 1-10 scale as before it is a 9-9.5. They fight by having bones grow outside their body at their will. They can summon bone swords from arm bones, or whips from their spine. Most bone users have over 500 bones or more. Bone is not strong or weak against anything as it is outside the circle of normal magic.
Clans
There are many clans within the academy, but the six strongest are the Cougar Clan, Bear Clan, Tiger Clan, Shark Clan, Cobra Clan, and Eagle Clan. Most new students band together and form their own clans and hope to be recruited by the bigger ones. Some clans are named after animals, other mythological creatures and more. There are rumors going around about a new power clan that will take all the others by storm in the coming year, hence the name of this saga, “Battle for Dominance.”
Battles
In the school, battles are held in high honor and the losers of said battles are sent to solitary confinement with a teacher, where they go through hardcore training for a month. Some come out new people, stronger than before. Others come out weakened and destroyed.

History: Grew up in Ojai, California with Mark, Max, and Josh. He is the tallest and oldest in the group, and is considered the leader, though he denies it.
Personality: He is loyal to his friends and will do anything to protect them. He hates having to make decisions as a leader, and would rather just be a soldier.
(For the Random Girl, and Guy, I would like them to be in Clan Judgment Day, the rumored clan that will rise to power quickly. I don’t care what magic or weapon the girl has, but I would like for the guy to have Metal Magic, and use close-range style weapons. Also, I was going for a kind of Romeo & Juliet thing, where Mark and the girl like each other, but their different clans don’t get along. Also, the Guy from the other clan likes the girl, but the girl thinks of him as a friend and nothing more. The 7 leaders of Judgement Day are each masters of the different types of magic.
I would like for other people to control Max, Josh, and Evan. As I have discovered, it’s a pain to control more than two people in the same RP)
