Ven is Sora's brother

My little brother wants me to post this. He thinks that Sora's parents are in their fifties, and they birthed Ven. He thinks that during the keyblade wars, Ven was recruted by the Chasers and he pulled a Riku and left all he had. His parents forgot about him, like they probably did about Sora during KH2 and then had Sora in their forties. He's absolutely sure this is the reason why Ven looks like Roxas.
It makes sense to me.

I think your brother's theory is wrong. It wouldn't make sense.

I'm guessing they wouldn't de-age, they could have Ven at 20, fifteen years pass and he dissapears. Someone alters their memory and they forget him. At 35 or 36 they have Sora.
My brother says that Sora wouldn't remember that he had a brother if his parents forgot they had another son. As for Radient Garden, I like to think that maybe if the theory is right that Ven may have been brough there to guard it (see my "Big Long Theory About Everything" for explanation to what I just said)

Well, BBS is in the past, which means that we see Ven in the past, and Roxas is in the present. We've seen them at different times at the same ages.

yeah but on the main KHI site in one of the previews they say there's a shot of Terra watching Sora and Riku play in the ocean. so i'm not doubting this theory

You're right enough where everyone on these forums respects your name and anything you say. I am with almost everything, but most of it to be sure.

Now you're just bringing in random thoughts without regardfor sense.

How would he get off DI?
Why are Sora's parents memories messed with and how?
Why would they forget they had a son?

I really don't believe this theory is correct. It's too far of a stretch for just convenient loop holes to fall in.

This is actually a pretty good theory. Somehow I don't think it's something Nomura would pull out, but it's possible. People's memories have been altered in Sora's case, so it's not like Ven couldn't be erased from everyone's memories. If Sora was born after Ven went missing and his parents forgot, it would explain why Sora doesn't know about Ven. It might also explain why their names are similar in meaning. If Sora's parents named Ven something that has a definition related to the sky, they might subconsciously repeat that in a different language after losing their memories. After all, Namine said memories aren't really forgotten, they're just taken off of the "chain" and buried under the newly created ones. Although the flaw in that is that Aqua's and Terra's names are similar to Kairi's and Riku's respectively.
Then again, Terra was watching who it has been suggested were Sora and Riku playing on the beach. So that basically proves that it's not so far back Sora wasn't born yet. Perhaps he was doing it as a request from Ven, who for some reason still remembers his family, even if they don't remember him.
I still find it unlikely, but it's a really good theory. Kudos to your brother.
