Still not entirely sure which I overall like more, KH1 or 3.
It's the little things. Of the numbered entries, 3 had my favorite final boss by far and, for me, has the most consistently entertaining cutscenes. While I think KH1 has the best sidequests (dalmatians, trinities, the coliseum), not to mention of the three numbered games, KH1 is the only one that didn't particularly need a Final Mix (I like the Unknown boss in Hollow Bastion, but KH1's FM also makes synthesizing a lot more annoying).
Still, still super happy with KH3 and can easily see myself revisiting it about as often as KH1 (whereas I doubt I'll get the itch to revisit KH2 for a long, long time).

Only halfway through it, but a KH2FM level 1 critical run has been more boring than fun so far. I was definitely expecting more, here's hoping it gets better.

I merely found it boring to watch Donald get KOed in one hit and Goofy in two. At least Don gets a fighting chance on Proud.

It's definitely hard, especially because I'm not a pro player, but the first half has been bland at best, especially boss fights. Reaction commands are boring and too frequent and make the battles feel like they're scripted. Also, I'm still ignoring Summons as I don't really feel the need to use them and I'm basically just doing what I did on my regular critical run: X, dodge/block, cure, Drive forms when I'm low on health.

I'm actually excited to play KH3's Critical, which is strange as I've never had interest in KH2's. All the fans say KH2 is the "only" or "true" way to play the game, but I could never drum up much interest in trying it.
I guess it's because KH3's battle options are all so much more fun to use. Simba and Ariel are the best Summons in the entire series after KH1's Tinkerbell, I dare declare.

Yeah, I think playing this after KH3 was actually a mistake. KH3's combat is my favourite and coming back to KH2 is... Eh.

Days will always be the biggest wasted potential in the series. It needed to focus on the Organization members but instead it introduced a new character we didn't need. The writing is not really better or worse than other titles, but it's just lazy. Nomura, you can depict friendship without abusing trios.

I don't mind Xion and I kinda like Days, but yeah, the game wasn't too good. I remember buying it back then and the mission system also was such a drag that I couldn't understand how people weren't head over heels when they just mashed the cutscenes into a movie. I was so relieved.
And yeah, the trio abuse is kinda dumb. I wouldn't mind it if it was executed better - buuut ...

SRK: Basically consists of two duos - Sora and Riku and Sora and Kairi. Riku and Kairi hardly ever talk, their interactions look pretty stiff and Riku

RAX: I feel like we have trust issues here. We have three people who like to hang around each other because they have nobody else but they have practically nothing to say to each other. When Roxas was late one day, Xion and Axel didn't even know what to talk about except for "oh, Roxas is pretty late today". Duh. To me, it felt more like an uncle babysitting his nephew and the latter's girlfriend instead of having a friendship between equals.

TAV: Has potential, but we see like 5 minutes of them together before they are forced to go at each other's throats. KH3 improved a little on that, but there's still a lot of room for improvement.

I like The Carribean's battle music WAY more than "He's a Pirate". Can't stand that Zimmer crap.

Kingdom Hearts overall story just feel bloated and convoluted, I don't really hate the games but it sometimes feel like the writers are making the story too "complex" for its own sake.

After seeing the horrible results of the entire first saga of KH trying to make Kairi relevant just for Nomura's neglect of her getting in the way, I hope the franchise moves on from her character and just never shows her again.

I wish they had kept that and removed Attraction Flow. The attractions feel out of place most of the time.

Completely agree. I love the reaction commands, they weren't just press triangle to win. I think that the sudden jump of quick time events made KH2's QTEs feel worse because they were getting lumped in with the new rush of bad QTEs.

If Disney is putting so much pressure on the team to make newer worlds a film advertisement show with a Sora insert, I'd prefer they'd just stick to old ones. Arendelle and Frozen were so messy that it wasn't fun. I don't care much for Disney, so I don't care much which worlds they use but at least I want to understand what's going on.

Hercules still had an awful fish face in KH3 paired with a pretty bland character so I wish to never see him again.

Speaking of Disney worlds, I really wish that the worlds interact with each other more just like in the first game. I am not sure that is gonna to happen anytime soon but it would be nice if it did. Who wouldn't want to see the Disney villains and Disney heroes fight in some epic battle?

I hate Kairi's II and III designs!! II is just so weird and messy and III is like she went shopping at Hot Topic for a bunch of clothes, cut them up, scrambled & sewed them together. :|

As a cosplayer I was hoping for a better design in III but it was just a letdown, I'll just stick to her KH1 design & original ideas for outfits like Sora wears in the different worlds. lol

KH1 Atlantica and Arendelle are two of the best Disney worlds in the series (the former is my fav in KH1 and Arendelle is tied with Olympus in KH3). KH2 Atlantica doesn't bother me--although the musical numbers could've been much better.

Beast's Castle, Castle of Dreams, and Symphony of Sorcery are my favorite Disney worlds in KH2, BbS, and 3D, respectively, just as a side note.
