Well, using the laws of Fullmetal Alchemist's Alchemy, I challenge you to a battle!

Arena: A large city that can be our playground, tall buildings and the like are scattered everywhere. You cannnot leave the city, but you may run around every last bit of it.

Appearance: about 4'8 with short blonde hair and brown eyes. Brad normally wears a blue shirt with a white jacket over it that has a black Chinese dragon on the back of it, dark blue jeans and black combat boots with his silver state alchemist pocketwatch in his pocket

Personality: Brad is a friendly person. Arrogant at times, lazy at times but most of the time Brad is easy to get along with. Provided your either a friend or he respects you. Anyone else is subjected to a sharp tongue and biting sarcasm. Brad is well known for driving his superior officers up the walls with his antics and for following his heart, doing what HE believes is right. This has got him put on probation many times.

Alchemic style: Brad is a fierce fighter. Having opened the gate and gained the ability to preform alchemy without a circle Brad's transmutations are fast and furious, changing the environment around him to suit his needs or to trap his opponents. A quick thinker Brad is almost always planning two steps ahead of his foe, preferring to strategize while distracting his opponent with fast yet skilled hand to hand combat rather than just blindly rush into things. Brad's main style of combat revolves around transmuting different weapons, mostly swords, maces, lances, large suriken and his signature buster sword (see below) and combining them with the air around him to create powerful wind based attacks. This fighting style has earned him the title 'The Stormstep Alchemist'

Weapons: Brad's main weapon of choice is his buster sword 'Foundation'. It has a golden blade with a black hilt and handguard and is as big as Brad himself is. Brad can summon this blade from virtually any surface.

History: Born in Risembool Brad had a close relationship with his brother Chad and his older cousin Timmy. The three were inseparable growing up. Timmy taught them how to fight and how to analyze things while their mother taught them things like manners and other important people skills. For the most part Brad lived a comfortable life. A busy life but a comfortable one. This all changed when Chad began to dabble in alchemy. Spurred on by the thoughts of impressing his new girlfriend Daisy with amazing creations, the nine year old devoted himself to studying the science. Spending hours locked up in his room and only leaving to use the restroom and maybe grab something from the kitchen. But after a solid six months of this Daisy broke up with him, blaming his loss of weight and overall gaunt appearance so she wouldn't have to revel her relationship with Brad. Chad found out anyway after he walked in on them kissing and thats when he made a decision: to change himself. To make himself bigger, faster, stronger. Perfect in every way. Chad drew the human transmutaion circle and drew it and was about to activate it when Brad ran in the room. Deaf to his apologizes Chad activated the circle and the resulting rebound destroyed the house, killing their parents and Daisy. Timmy was at a friend's house at the time. Chad himself is sucked inside of the gate, as Brad is informed, and is to remain there for the rest of eternity. Alive but suffering. The being in front of the gate mocks Brad, who had already lost his brother, parents, house and girlfriend all in one sweep, before sending the boy beyond the gate as well, giving the boy all the knowledge of alchemy he needed. But as payment Brad's soul was shackled to Chad's. Every night when he goes to sleep Brad sees what Chad sees and feels what Chad feels. Brad gained great power, but was given endless torment in return.
With nowhere to go Brad stayed at Timmy's for three weeks after the incident. Then the military came to recruit Timmy and discovered Brad's condition. The boy was taken and given the state alchemy exam, which he passed after a tough duel against another state alchemist where Brad discovered the true nature of his abilities. The newly dubbed 'stormstep alchemist' was kept out of the war. He was but a child after all. Instead he spent two years running errands and sticking around the city. Apprehending criminals and practicing his alchemy. But one day Brad is abruptly given a new assignment: He would be joining the platoon that would be going to the summit to watch out for any funny business during the meeting.
He had no idea what was about to happen

Name: Vincent Stevens (((The Crystal Alchemist)))

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Appearance: Vincent wears a long sleeved black shirt with blue trimmings on the collar and ends of the sleeves. Over this he wears a dark-blue vest.
His hair is blonde and at a medium length, but kept under a fedora hat. The hat is primarily black with one blue stripe running around it, matching his eye colour. His skin is a pale white and never appears to tan at all, making him look like a strip of ice.
Next he wears black pants, there's nothing exceptionally fashionable about them, they just have two pockets which are filled with nothing. His shoes a black with blue soles, kept in mint condition.

His fingers have transmutation circles etched into them, and the circles have turned blue since Vincent first used his special alchemy.

Personality: Vincent isn't a very chatty person, only talking when he is angered, and when that happens you can't find any emoton is his voice. Other than that he is dead silent.
He likes to be considered as a weapon of the millitary, causing destruction wherever he fights.

Vincent is a perfect strategist, reading the ways opponents fight, creating plans in split seconds before putting them to action. But most of all, he uses his enviroment to get an upper hand. If there is nowhere to go, make a path.

Transmutation: Vincents transmutation circles are on his fingers, coloured blue from the force of his alchemy.

His alchemy is relatively rare to master and negates the millitaries laws of using alchemy. He turns anything to crystal, commonly diamond. He makes weapons, traps and solid objects from his alchemy, but if it is a weapon it turns to dust as soon as it is not touching him.
He can create things from long distances away and doesn't completely obey Equivilent Exchange, as long as the substance he is transmuting is a solid and can't be moved by the wind he can use it.
He commonly makes swords and guns as weapons, but wavers to the more melee side since the transmuted guns aren't exceptionally strong, bearing roughly the same poer as a paintball.

The state alchemy exam.

Brad, otherwise known as the Stormstep alchemist, stood in the middle of an abandoned city waiting for something, anything to happen. He knew it was a simulation of an abandoned city and that they were actually underground somewhere and that his title of state alchemist hung in the balance. He and his opponent were being watched and judged and unless he really pulled out all the stops and finished off his opponent in the most flashy way possible, or at the very least put up one hell of a fight, he'd be kicked out and his title and pocket watch revoked. Brad didn't want that to happen so here he was, on time and on the hunt for his opponent. They had both entered at the same time from different directions and had to track each other down and finish each other off. Would it be simple hand to hand combat that ended things? Or traps and trickery? Brad walked through the city, alert and on guard.

If anything he was about to find out.

The test.
Oh how Vincent loved the test. The feeling of your title hanging in the balance was enough for the Crystal Alchemist to take part. Overall, his life wouldn't be terrible if he lost his title as a State Alchemist, but if he did lose it it meant that he had died at the hands of another, and he didn't like lsoing. Or pain for that matter.

Vincent stood on the rooftop of a seven storey building, the slight breeze making his clothes ruffle.
The Stromstep Alchemist, he thought. A worthy foe to be put against me. I guess I'll have to see my chances when I get to him. This city is the only thing between he and I.
He placed a hand on the ground, then slided it forward, using most of the ceiling to transmute a bridge and two supporters that connected to the closes building of Labradorite. The Alchemist took his fedora hat from his head and held it in his hand, then steadily paced along his new bridge.

Once he reached the end he placed his hands on the bridge and the transmutation circles on his fingers glowed blue as the bridged was turned into dirt, to erode over a few minutes out of its bridge form and land on the ground in a pile.
