TRACES OF REALITY

If you need an idea of where to show up, original universe characters MUST show up in Hollow Bastion (well, for the most part), while AU characters can show up in any world, although it's easier if they were in one or two places only. Take your pick! :D

"There!" she thought, taking a quick, quiet step down the street.
Her pace had been quick, the girl fighting to remain as quiet as a mouse (though her big sneakers ended up making this a bit impossible). She had to find out who this was; she had to see!

It had been happening for a few days now. At first, she shrugged it off; after all, there were tons of people in town, so it was normal to see people walking around. But she could've sworn that this was the same person. They were tall and wore a purple coat, their coattails trailing behind them each time they turned a corner and disappeared. She couldn't get a glimpse of their face, but their appearance always came with a few odd sounds: a groaning, wheezing sound and a buzzing, high-pitched sound. Both were something otherworldly, Rena never able to figure out what they were. Just as enigmatic as this man was...

Who was this guy? Why was he here?

Today, Rena would find out who he was... but she had to be sneaky; super sneaky! So, deploying her super ninja skills, she snuck through Hollow Bastion, following his tracks as she headed through the streets.

She was close now, so close! The plan was perfectly thought out in her head: she would sneak up on him and surprise him, then ask to know what his name was. From there, she didn't really know what to do, but hey, it was a start! (And it was perfect, of course.)

click, click, click...

Footsteps headed down the street. She peaked her head around the corner.

The answers were there. Now, all she had to do was go get them...

"Rena?"

"Bwah!"

She jumped, falling back. Shaking her head, the girl looked up.

"What the heck're you doing?"

Suddenly, a sound came: that otherworldly wheezing sound...

"No..."

Oh no! Rena scrambled up to her feet, dashing around the corner.

"No!"

The man... He was gone! Just disappeared like that. She grumbled.

"Nice goin', Aex! You ruined it!"

"Ruined what?" The black haired boy stood behind the young brunette, his arms folded and a brow raised.

Rena, frustrated, threw her hands to the side, motioning towards the street behind them. "I was tryin' to find that guy..."

"Guy? What guy?" He paused a moment. Wait... He facepalmed. "...dammit, not this again!"

"But it's true!" she exclaimed with big puppy dog eyes, "There's a weird guy that keeps comin' here and I gotta find out who he is!"

Aex scoffed, rolling his eyes, "No, there's not. You're just imagining stuff again."

"I am not! It's true! I promise, pinky promise!" She whimpered.

Okay, so her plan was a bit wacky. She could've sworn that she saw this guy going around every day, but no one believed her, especially Aex. He always believed the cold, hard facts, so until he saw this guy for real, he was going to think that Rena was crazy. But she saw him! Couldn't he believe that?

------------------

Time was at a standstill. It seemed as if things had always been this way, the time always being 5:02 in the afternoon, but the past held a different story. The sky had always been blue, not their terrifying red and black. The world hadn't always been like this either: once, it was a peaceful, prosperous world. It had taken on several forms: a beachside town, an island in the sky. Cucio Bay, they called it: the world reduced to dust.

No one lived in this world and, if they did, they were mad to do so. The beach had been transformed into a desert, the buildings reduced to rubble and the climate freezing. Even the castle in the distance looked as decrepit and desolate. Underneath the red sky, this place was a nightmare.

Someone remained trapped in this nightmare: a lone figure racing through the desert landscape. Cape billowing in the wind, they raced through the oncoming sandstorm towards a hole in the ground. Snapping down on the ring over the door, they hoisted it up and jumped inside.

With a thud, the last bit of light disappeared with the slamming door, but a tiny flicker of flame remained alit in the distance. The small figure headed through the tunnel, ending up in a small room. On one side was a figure, staring up at the ceiling as he remained on his back.

"Here," said the lone figure, a child.

She tossed a bag onto the man's chest, snapping him out of his spell.

With an 'oof!,' he hissed, throwing the bag off. "Was that really necessary?"

The girl remained silent, sitting down on the sandy floor. "Just open it," she hissed, remaining quiet otherwise.

The man rolled his eyes, his emerald orbs seeming to glow in the dim light. He pulled open the drawstring bag and searched its contents. Musing to himself, he remained silent as he looked, until...

"Not much in here..." he said, holding out a handful of munny orbs and some other random junk.

The brunette shrugged, "It was the best that I could find."

"The munny's not gonna help us get outta here, kiddo."

She shrugged again, leaning her head on her hand, "Was worth a shot..."

Examining the contents again, the blonde haired man quirked a brow. He pulled something else out of the bag, holding it between his fingers.

"This..."

The tiny object seemed to sparkle, even in this place of darkness.

"It's just a piece of junk," Rena piqued up, frowning.

Aoi laughed, "No no no... This ain't junk, kid." He held it out in his hand, keeping it in his palm. "It's a gummi block..."

The girl's eyes widened. She scooped the diamond-shaped orange block into her hands, keeping it safe in her palms.

"Then... we can get outta here!"

The man laughed, "Don't be stupid. We need more than one."

Rena frowned, handing it back.

"But maybe..." he examined it again, narrowing his eyes. "Where'd you find it?"

"Uhh... In town," Rena shrugged, "It was in one of the old buildings."

"Show me," Aoi grinned, "Maybe we can find more and get outta here!"

"Not in this storm, though," she sighed, "It's bad out there."

He shook his head, "No, we need to go now." Aoi pulled himself up from the makeshift bed, pocketing the gummi block. There was a glimmer in his eyes; something mad.

Seeing the man head towards the exit door, she charged after him, growling and snapping onto his wrist.

"It's too damn dangerous! There's too many monsters out there and, if they don't kill you, the storm will!"

"Don't care!" he hissed, slapping her hand aside, "There's gummi blocks out there and I don't care what it takes to get us off of this damn world!"

"Argh..."

A loud grunt was heard under the pile of rubble and debris then followed by a rumble and collapse. The pile of debris caved in, revealing a man-sized crater as if something or someone crashed through the solid ground. As the hunks of rock sank, a huge mechanical hand punch through the surface. The person under the rubble struggled to get out of that pile. Slowly and carefully, he crawled out and finally out of that ordeal, with every strength he can muster. The impact of the fall nearly rendered the struggling man immobilized. Even with mechanical limbs, moving is more than quite a chore to do for him so he can't afford to have one of his limbs malfunction, or the possibility of recuperation would be next to impossible. Considering the weight and size and bulk of his mechanical arms and legs.

The mechanical warrior finally was able to prop himself up on his knees. Dirtied by cuts, dirt and dust all over his body. He narrowed his sight on his surroundings but the thick cloud of dust makes it almost impossible to see what lies ahead. He would use his visor but majority of his gadgets were completely trashed during his fall. Alt went on all fours and cupped his head with his mechanical hand.

"What--What the hell happened to me...? Where am I?"

Alt, digging deep into his mind, tried to remember what had happen to him that lead to his current state. "I remember... a flash of light; A blue object--then falling...ugh."The mechanical warrior tried but it was all too vague for him to sink in all the memories all at once. Like a jumbled jigsaw puzzle with pieces missing; he can't decide whether to look for the missing pieces or piece together the puzzle with pieces given. As he prop himself up back on his feet, the cloud of dust was already cleared and the path ahead was clear as day.

Before Alt, was a devastated ruins of what looked like a dead world. But as soon as he took another step, he noticed the ground.

"This... this emblem. The White Armada... But how..."

On his feet was the defiled coat of arms of the White Armada. A military force bent on ridding the worlds of the Heartless and other malefactors. As Alt proceeded further in the devastated ruins, a sight of ruination presented itself to him in the most gruesome manner. Towering spires ruined and destroyed; bases and headquarters ransacked and pillaged; bodies and decayed carcasses of White Armada soldiers died fighting an unknown enemy. "Without a doubt, I am at Fort Macedon. The center of the Armada's power." Alt then was struck by a sudden realization, "--wait if I'm at Fort Macedon. then--!" Without any moment to spare, the mechanical warrior dashed through, further in the ruined fort as if he already knew where to go.

Alt rushed at the central command spire only to see it the most ruined and demolished. After a quick pause, he jumped from ledge to ledge using his incredible speed; climbing the command spire within minutes. Grabbing the last ledge, he pulled himself up and then reached Gutsvald's, his grandfather, commandeer throne. What he saw was all the more heartbreaking than he has witnessed earlier. Gutsvald Alteisen sitting lifeless on his throne with a dozen spears impaled throughout his massive frame and even holding his Daizanbatou firmly in his grasp. Even in death, Gutsvald Alteisen still showcased his bravado and resiliency as a warrior, leader and father.

"Old man... No..."

Alt couldn't help but shed a tear and fell in weakness as he saw his grandfather's lifeless body. "There is so much... So much things I wanna say to you and things I wanna hear you say. You old bastard! You cheat..." The battle-hardened warrior sobbed. A warrior only cries for the honor of his fellow warrior.

After having his moment, he slowly stood up. "Come out! Whoever you are, you've been following me since I first step foot in here. Come out! I want answers!" Alt snapped, clenching his mechanical fist tightly in anger and frustration.

~Welcome to Town~

Kiara Lockard took her first steps into Twilight Town, blue eyes wide as she took in her surroundings. It was only a hanger, similar to the one back in her own world. There were a lot of other ships landing and taking off, as well as people of all ages wandering about and doing whatever business they had to do. Kiara smiled and hoisted her bag up a little on her shoulder, holding on to one of the straps as she fell into step behind a line of people going out of a door that would lead them into a train station, which would lead them outside.

She was really, honestly on a whole new world!

The sunlight was bright, hurting her eyes a little as she stepped out of the station and into a large open area that was called Station Plaza (according to a sign near the station building anyway). Eyes slowly adjusting to the harsh sunlight Kiara began to walk, wondering if there was a town map posted somewhere so that she could find the local library, or maybe a cafe first considering that the ship ride had been long and as a stow-away hidden behind some crates (curled up in a rather uncomfortable ball) she hadn’t been able to get any food. Her stomach let out a loud growl at the thought of getting something to eat and Kiara decided that yes, finding a cafe had to come first. Then she’d track down a library. Plus a nice hotel to sleep in sounded like a good idea as well.

Plan in mind Kiara took a closer look at the Station Plaza sign, hoping that maybe there was a map or something to point her in the right direction behind it or close by. No such luck of course. She combed the area but there was nothing to see. So she left and walked to another part of town, finding a sign that told her she was on Market Street but once again, no map. Kiara navigated her way through the modest crowd of people hanging around shops that sold things like potions, armor, weapons and...food!

The scent of fast food filled the teen’s nose as she practically floated towards the shop, ignoring indignant cries of strangers as she passed through the line and stepped inside. The place was cozy feeling and there were several booths and tables all around, filled with people eating things like burgers and hotdogs and pizza and.. was that..yes...mozzarella sticks!

“Excuse me ma’am” a waitress said, stepping up to her “But there’s a line, you’ll have to take a number and wait to be seated outside” she eyed the sword sticking out of the top of the teen’s bag a little nervously “Plus weapons have to be concealed!”

Kiara looked longingly at a plate of cheese fries that was set at a nearby table and nodded gloomily, taking a little red ticket with a black 36 on it and stepping back outside, to the back of the crowd. Her stomach growled again as she patted her pockets. That was weird. She could have sworn..

Feeling absolutely nothing in them Kiara bent down and rummaged through her backpack. Change of clothes, book, sword.. no purse. No wallet.

She had left her money at home.

She was on a foreign world, with no way home with absolutely no currency. Which meant no food and no hotel. The girl gulped and turned away from the restaurant and the wonderful smells coming out of it, walking down the street with a feeling of rejection in her stomach.

At least she could still go to the library.

~- Evil Laughing Ducks -~

Twilight Town, 5:02

"Ivy, don't!"

The plea barely left the boy before he fell into the water with a splash, only to break the surface a few seconds later. Pulling himself out of the pond, he shook the excess water away and looked at the collie that paddled in the water with a happy, lopsided grin. Exasperation shining in his eyes, Riku shook his head again; scattering a few more water droplets to the ground. Dismissing the border collie from his mind for the time being, he shuffled through the contents of his backpack until he came across the towel he had packed in there for cases like this. Drying himself off, his eyes darted to the border collie that was just climbing out of the water herself; the mischievous gleam that was normally in her blue-gold eyes subdued because of worry and guilt.

Reaching out a hand, he ruffled the fur on her head and grinned, letting her know that everything was okay. Climbing to his feet, Riku bent down and grabbed the leash from where it rested on the ground; before he started walking again. "You should know better than to rise to the ducks bait, they're always "laughing" at you." He scolded her, pointedly ignoring the ducks that were quaking at him from the safety of the center of the pond.

This got the usual response of a growl that turned into a soft whimper which ended in a quick bark; clearly meaning, "But!"

"No buts Ivy!" Riku sighed, trying to figure out how he was supposed to explain the soaked clothes this time. It didn't take too long for them to round the corner, coming out by the library which still had the open sign flicked on; after all the residents of the town still had quite a bit of time before it closed for the day. Sensing that someone was there with him, Riku spun around and called out, "Who's there?"

Waiting a few minutes, Riku heard the low growling from Ivy, setting him even more on edge because of her agitation. Don't lose sight of what is most important to you, a voice whispered in his mind, bringing back with it a rush of images from the night before. Shivering a little, Riku reached into his pocket and pulled out his ipod, going through the motions of putting the headphones on and flicking the power switch into the on position; he felt a brief sense of relief as the words from the song that was slated to play next started playing.

Riku couldn't ignore how relieved he was feeling, his music player had survived this swim; but how many more would it survive? A chuckle escaping him, Riku glanced around to see if anything was out of the ordinary; seeing nothing out of the ordinary he continued on his way back home to drop the trouble making collie off. Rounding the corner, he listened as the sound of raised, angry voices reached his ears and seemed to be aimed at a unfamiliar girl with pink hair. Tilting his head to the side, Riku yelped slightly as Ivy yanked hard on the leash and all but pulled him over toward the girl.

"No, bad Ivy! Bad girl!" He shouted, digging his heels in to stop his dog and not knock into the stranger. Succeeding in his effort, he crouched down and made Ivy look at him, earning a whine from the collie. "What's with you pretty girl? You never misbehave this badly on a walk."

His sweet smile, the smile that can melt a heart of stone and turn it to mellow. His innocence, an aura of a newborn worth protecting, worth fighting for. He would reward her with such bliss, such happiness she felt when his father was still alive to cradle her broken heart. But now, all of it, gone in a blink of an eye.
Both claimed by the darkness she swore to fight. The only ones she cared and loved so deeply, swallowed by the unrelenting tides of blood and chaos...
Now all that is left is but an empty shell, a heart filled with much sorrow and distraught. A torment worth a thousand lashes.
A wound that even the most powerful white magic can't heal...

Chiyu has exiled herself upon the prying eyes of others and into the ruins that was once the great and proud Fort Macedon. Reliving the days of her youth, the days of the past. The images were clear to her like a mirror reflection, as she walked the demolished landscape. Moments of the past replaying on her head, over and over like a record being re-winded and played second per second. Reveling on the sorrow struck to her by the deaths of her loved ones.

It's been 3 months since the massive malefactor incursion on Fort Macedon. One of the first worlds to have fallen in the hands of the dreaded abominations, Heartless and are lead by malefactors of the highest hierarchy, the Totema. Where they came from was still a big mystery. They just one day plagued the skies en masse and destroyed everything and killed everyone they can get their sordid claws on. Leaving nothing but destruction and distraught on their wake. Fort Macedon, despite being the most well-armed and center of power of the White Armada was nothing compared to them. The overran the entire world almost instantly leaving the brave soldiers to fight for their lives. Among those casualties were her own father, Gutsvald Alteisen. The known strongest warrior in existence, felled by an entire cadre' of malefactors.

First was her beloved, the soldier of an unknown name; then her dearest son, Wolve, whom she didn't even get the chance to spend one last time as a mother and not a mentor; now her father. Chiyu was left with nothing but emptiness. All that is left was her son's heart melded unto hers, a speck of light in the midst of sorrow she can shelter herself in.

Suddenly as she was viewing at the top of a ruined spire, she felt a strong presence behind her. Her strings plucked, she turned around and saw a falling star heading towards the collapsed gates. With a burst of speed, she came down the spire while eyeing the falling star. She jumped from one ledge to wall then to another; free-running through the debris-ridden landscape with ease. As she make it through the battlements the falling star crashed on impact. She would go down to investigate but to her shock and awe, it was not a rock nor a malefactor but a person. A person with a strong familiar vibe emanating from him.

"Wolve...?"

Adds up to her shock, with that recognition, she had the urge to go down and hug him but a mark of hesitation stops her from doing so. Doubtful was she. "No it can't be. He--he died... I saw it, I held his lifeless body in my arms as he faded back to the light." Her disbelief and doubt and amazement wrestled in her mind; while clutching her chest, knowing she feels the warmth of her son's heart within her. Yet... Just the sight of this person or who seemed like her son strikes the same feeling. "Those fiends! I cannot be tricked nor this should go on! They think they can trick me into seeing my son alive and well would make me submit? Atrocious!" She opened her eyes, red and dilated; Chiyu drew one explanation to this. The person who would be her son was no more than a malefactor in the guise of her own son's image to trick her and hunt her down. For a long time she has been here, the incursion must have snuffed her presence still lingering within these ruins. She decided to follow the would be impostor Alt as he wandered the ruins, with Chiyu hidden from sight.

Still hidden, she watched as Alt lollygag about the ruins. Then in a moments notice, the person rushed away heading towards her father's grave on the command spire. Suspecting that he had felt her presence. As they reached the top of the spire, Alt reached Gutsvald's final resting place. The impostor would go far and cry for Chiyu's father. How atrocious and most vile, as if that would convince her that this impostor was indeed her son. Slowly, she approached the kneeling impostor. When he snapped.

"Come out! Whoever you are, you've been following me since I first step foot in here. Come out! I want answers!"

"Answers? You won't find it here monster! How dare you show your face here Totema scum! If you came to pick up what you missed during your first incursion then by the light, you just made a huge mistake." Replied Chiyu, angry and teeth gritting with rage. She took stance slowly and faced Alt. "You would go as far as to trespass in my father's resting place, but I won't let you go any further!" With an unseen speed, Chiyu appeared in front of Alt with arm at full swing and momentum gathered. She quickly delivered 2 strikes. One visible and the other too quick for him to follow. A finger tap and a palm strike.

Twilight Town wasn't as bad as he imagined it. Sure there were a lot of people, but it was easy enough to go unnoticed and the clock tower was almost always deserted. It was a nice quiet place to sit and reflect. Getting munny wasn't that difficult with all the little side jobs people needed done. He looked at the veggies that he had gotten, a few carrots and stalks of celery. He sighed, he should get some protein. He started munching on a carrot thinking aloud, "Where'd you go sis. Why ditch me? Something I did or said, or was it some guy?" He readjusted his seat and took around. Something felt off, either that or his paranoia he wasn't sure. "Maybe it's time to move, or at least lie low", he thought aloud.

Alt was nonetheless, angered by the presence's reply, he was about to lay a rage-filled assault as soon as he turn to face the voice behind him. But as he clenched his mechanical fist, he went into an abrupt stop. Like a raging engine went full stop because of some obstruction on its gears. His eyes widened as familiarity filled his sight and warmth radiated by this person's chi or aura. A warmth so familiar to him.

"Wait... you... Who are you?"

More shockingly how she called his grandfather, her father. Alt went to offer a question, only to be returned with more questions. Father? Could she and him be related in some way? And this warmth and comfort of her aura, an aura so familiar that it belonged to none other than, "Master Chiyu? I-Is that---UGH!" Before he can finish his question, Chiyu immediately unleashed a lightning fast assault that almost got it him. But the impact of the attack sent him dragging backwards a few feet.

"That impact, form and stance. It must be! She's--Uwaagh!"

Although he blocked the attack, he didn't noticed that he was hit by an unseen second blow of that assault that hit him in his vital point. Caused Alt to vomit blood on the ground. Followed by a sharp pain on his chest. "--and that precision... She could have punched a hole in my chest. If that's really who I think it is, then I'll just have to ask her with my fists." Stammering to get up, Alt wiped the blood off his lips. He stomped the ground and began channeling his Chi.

"Zen!"

He absorbed the force generated from the ground and channeled it throughout his body. He took stance and closed his mechanical fists. "Concentrate... Mushidon!" Stomping the ground again, Alt amplified his speed and advanced his stance with a lightning quick stepping.

The Mushidon or the Demon Step, a Zen technique wherein the user channels his Zen or condensed chi unto his/her legs to hasten his/her footwork. Making his/her movements untraceable and quick as lightning, using your steps to gain and stack momentum every step. This is considered the most basic move of the Shin Muteki no Ken.

As Alt drew the distance, he channeled the momentum he gained from his stepping unto his fist. "Ora!" He connects a powerful snap mid-punch. His eyes lit up and began connecting every momentum gained from one fist to another.

Shin Mutekiryuu: Gou Renbu

Or better known as The Destructive Advance. A basic technique wherein the user unleashes a flurry of connecting blows channeled through momentum gained and stacked during the Mushidon or Demon Step. The stronger and faster the momentum, the more destructive the blows are.

~~~~~~Light in the Storm (AU)~~~~~~
The sandstorm continued to rage relentless across the world once known as Cucio Bay. Though there were the rare moments of peace under the red sky, lately the storms seemed to last longer with each new appearance. Even as much of the world was reduced to piles of rubble, the large castle of Cucio Bay still remained standing on the few floating islands that hadn’t yet eroded with time and force. After the revival of Monte and his Totema followed by his departure of the place he once ruled, the castle was left to its own demise just like the rest of the world itself. The ruined hallways grew worse during its abandonment, only the strongest materials survived leaving such places as the floor to slowly fall through into the lower levels.
The danger of sudden collapse wasn’t the only thing to keep Rena and Aoi away from the floating castle, the structure’s new inhabitants prowled throughout the castle’s hallways, hiding in the tiniest slivers of shadow in order to pounce on those who came by. While the few times of searching the palace in the beginning nearly ended both Rena and Aoi’s lifes, it was these very encounters that helped them learn the signs of danger and how to quickly avoid a fate worse than death.
Other creatures seemed to scurry and hide within the very walls of the castle, the very rare glimpses of them only ever appearing through the remaining windows, only when the storms grew silent for their short time. The tallest and greatest of all the towers housed the throne room, allowing the previous rulers to see all of Cucio Bay in all directions. The great glass window panes had either fallen down to the depths of the castle below, or were more shards that littered the ground of the room along with the toppled throne itself, behind where it once stood now the brief shimmer of something not meant in all reality.
~~~~~~A New Life (OU)~~~~~~

The bright sun rose high into the clear blue sky above the large oriental palace, the work in restoring it having been slow at first but soon gaining momentum the more people arrived in order to see the current occupants. Within one of the largest and emptiest rooms, a small group of people of all ages sat on their knees, all facing the singular figure that stood before them.

The tall man’s dark silver hair was tied up as one long ponytail, a practise he started after welcoming these people to this world. Gripping the simple looking black staff with his single gloved hand, the man smirked as the first few challengers stood up off the ground, their own personal weapons ready against the pale skinned man. The spins and swipes from the man and the staff was the sign of someone who was tuned with their weapon, deflecting the other’s more sloppy and obvious attacks rather easily.

Tripping up the supposed team leader of the three warriors, the rather harmless black staff morphed suddenly into a very deadly and sharp spear, aimed right for the woman’s neck. Though not a single drop of blood was spilt. Smiling down, the pale man moved his changed weapon aside before helping her up to join the two others back with the group. Bowing his head in reply with the groups, the class soon departed the large room and left the man to sit on the only piece of furniture, a large throne like chair and closed his red eyes in thought, the black spear soon changing back to its familiar black broadsword by his side.

~~~~~~Usurped for Another (Unknown)~~~~~~
The mammoth machine took up the entire chamber, almost as if the room itself was built around to try and contain the machine from expanding any further. The groaning of the pistons and hisses of steam from the numerous vents that covered the body of metal certainly gave it a presence of something alive, even when the dozens of glass chambers along the machine showed to be completely empty.
All except one that is.
The sleeping figure inside just barely fitted, nearly reaching the ceiling of the tube in the end. Metal straps and tubes seemed to forcibly hold the unconscious being in place while most likely doing some other secondary function at the same time. If it wasn’t for the sign of very shallow breathing and random fluttering from the man’s closed eyes, many would immediately consider the poor sealed man dead from the heart shaped hole near the centre of his chest.
Towering as tall as one of the tubes themselves, the cloaked masked figure stood staring at the sleeping figure, its large clasp ringed staff resting by its side while the long trail of its cloak lazily squirmed in the faint light the machine gave off.
Twilight Town was a relatively interesting place. The peace and quiet was something new for Avi, all of her life she hasn’t met tranquility quite like this. Well, half of her life was pretty much a blur and the other half was endless temporal torment. But the tranquility was nice, no screaming, no violence, no bloodshed, just peace and quiet.
Avi opened her eyes and grimaced. Okay, maybe the peace and quiet was getting to become a bit obnoxious and annoying. After all, how is one expected to have fun when things are so friggin’ boring?! She sighed and rested her head on her hand.
“Man, do you know how boring things are?” she asked aloud. “Like, am I supposed to be alive for some greater purpose or is it all random circumstance in an infinitely random sequence of event with no rhyme or reason? Like, is there really a God? Looking over all of us? I dunno, these questions keep me up at night.. what about you?”
The man she was arm-wrestling only strained with exertion as he used all of his strength to try to pin the lankly Avi with no avail. The raucous bar inhabitants behind them roared in favor of the man to shut up the loud-mouth, disrespectful girl that came into the bar ten minutes ago making fun of everyone and challenging them to an arm-wrestling contest.
From the very long line of men with bruised egos and broken wrists, it has been an unfruitful venture to beat her at her own game. The latest in that long line, a big, burly gentleman with a particularly distinctive handlebar mustache had as much luck as the others.
Avi’s arm stayed upright as her opponent shook with exertion, finally settling on using his entire body weight to drop her arm but only managing to move it a modicum of an inch. Avi sighed, bored with the contest and troubled with her existential thoughts as she leaned back in her chair, reaching with her free hand to grab someone’s drink out of their hand.
Undisturbed by her opponent’s efforts, she took a quick swig and placed her cup down. “I dunno, I think life for you lot is a lot simpler. You guys aren’t immortal freaks of nature, I am! And what am I doing with this life? Arm-wrestling, a waste if you ask me.”
Avi scratched the back of her head, continually perturbed by her thoughts as the loud bar noises only increased in volume. “Then again. It’s kinda fun.” She shrugged, her Cheshire smile appearing on her face fully. “A few thousand years will give you some perspective. For example.”
Without effort, Avi slammed his hand down on the table with such force it broke completely in half. The momentum from her violent gesture sent the giant flying across the bar and right out of the window, rendered completely unconscious as he slammed into the concrete.
“The bigger you are, the harder you’ll fall,” she said with her wicked smile. Dark auras appeared on her hands as she stood up, eyeing everyone in the bar with the scrutiny of a scientist examining a tiny organism. “Next?”
“Blech.” Avi knelt by the fountain, washing her bloodstained hands with the water. “Blood is so annoying to get off. Why can’t these guys have blood that doesn’t stain?”
She produced a pocket-sized bottle of hand sanitizer and used that to disinfect her hands further. Avi grinned at the product of her work, the bar in question was absolutely destroyed from the inside-out. Sadly everyone in the bar survived but they’ll be hospitalized for a little while longer.
“Man, this world is sooo boring!” Avi groaned, rubbing her hungry stomach. “I wonder if there’s a fast food joint nearby, I am starving!”
Even he managed to block the assault, the second blow went right through Alt's parry. Which sent him on his knees. A bit of surprise that her blow didn't punch a hole in his chest but the delayed impact surely hit his critical spot. She then slowly shifted to a different stance of attack.
"Impressive how you survived that. I just hit your chi center on your chest which could have killed or permanently immobilized anyone without the strong will and body."
The gracefulness of her arm movement as she shifts stance was almost mesmerizing.
"Zen!"
Much to Chiyu's surprise, the malefactor masquerading as her son just performed a basic method of the Shin Muteki no Ken. Concentrating your Chi then amassing it throughout your body. She was gonna dismiss it as a mere trick but the way this "Alt" performed the technique was precise and by the book. Chiyu even felt the strong Zen surge coursed throughout her adversary's physical body. This is bad, this could mean the malefactors had learn the secret of the Alteisen family's sacred discipline. That point, she knew she had to finish off this impostor quick.
"...Mushidon!"
Her adversary suddenly advanced with lightning quick steps and began unleashing a cascade of connecting blows. As the blows near her, she parries it by sliding her palm gently through every blow and re-directing gathered momentum off his punches. She does so in speeds not visible by the naked eye. She parries two consecutive blows at the same time then closed both her fists. Chiyu then stomps the ground as she close the gap at point-blank. "Hah!" She connects with with a double-palm strike again to his chest. Enough to sent him again backwards but before she can even let Alt slide, Chiyu grabs his huge mechanical hands then re-directed his fall to the other direction. She was not done yet. She then again stomped the ground and advanced at a point-blank range.
Jiyuryuu: Yamatetsu-Gou
Chiyu strides up then performs a back-shoulder bash. The Yamatetsu-Gou or the Iron Mountain Clash; a powerful blow made by a channel mass of chi and momentum. Used as an effective counter-attack of the Jiyu no Ken. Channeling the force upon the user's shoulders to deliver a bone-breaking bash that can obliterate a physical mass from the inside out.
As the blow connected Alt was again sent flying off the command spire. Wasting no time, Chiyu powered up her new mechanical legs and with a burst of speed, she appeared before her adversary at mid-air.
♀Enter The Nightmare: The Totema Frostlace(Frostlace AU)♀
"You should really listen to her Aoi besides your a better hider then fighter wouldn't you say... I mean last time you fought it was a complete disaster," A voice sounded above both Aoi, and Rena... its source was above the ceiling... something was on the roof... and it clearly new they were both in their. A sudden eruption of multiple spikes stabbed downward until they jutted out of the ceiling enough for the two teens to watch them transform into hooks. With a single tugging sound the roof was torn apart as debris flew everywhere especially downward towards Aoi, and Rena like hail. As the inescapable light blared the room to life a lone figure looked down upon them from the massive hole in the wall it had just created.
"I am not all for patiently waiting for one target to lead me to another though when I get to watch Rena-chan squirm around the wastelands... it gives a almost unmatchable feeling... though I guess physical contact is something I desire way more then just watching you Rena," the voice was now more audible and clearly both feminine and seductive in a almost eerie way.... especially as it was directed to Rena. The figure came into view as only one person those two knew who would talk like that... a certain totema that had been hunting Rena for quite a long time now.... the totema Frostlace. The beautiful entity was the same height as Rena with long silver hair flowing unnaturally, the totema lips were ice blue with a skin pale to match yet none of these factors degraded her beauty in fact it really seem to just multiple it with her Valkyrie like mechanical armor... a trademark sign she was indeed a totema. Her armor design was of a lighter model, and while it definitely look like she could take a few powerful hits it was clear she designed for speed. No weapon was present on her person as her mask hide the very eyes that were obviously digging themselves into Rena's figure.
"Its a shame I was hoping you wouldn't be here to interrupt some alone time between me and Rena, why don't you be a good boy Aoi... and disappear quickly," their was a sudden clear killers intent in the atmosphere as in a flash the woman was on ground level kneeling before both of them with her hands extended completely out on both side with very single finger stretched out. It would only take a asingle moment to know the fight had already begun as the light briefly revealed dozens upon dozens of very thin strings all around the area.
"Spike Raid," the room was sent into mass chaos as the strings converged creating a hell storm barrage of whip like spikes that shot all around the room looking to impale both Rena, and Aoi as they destroyed the rooms interior within mere seconds. That wasn't what Frostlace was really concerned about as her bloodlust eyes locked back unto Rena's form as a demonic smile started to form on the totema's blue lips.
"Shall you entertain me s you always do my sweet princess," the totema whispered at Rena as a few of the stings converged unto Forstlace's left arm creating a arm blade as the totema danced past her own attack as she jumped into the air to assault Rena from above with a rapid serious of blade thrusts all aimed for Rena's main sword arm.
☼A Ruling Throne: A Life empty of Value(Monte AU)☼
"My lord... Motias, and Matius have reported back... the battle of the White Armada is over... Gutsvald Alteisen has fallen the White Armada has been reduced to rubble," the report came in clear as day into the massive networking room screens were flying all around showing multiple worlds, battles currently going on... deaths, destruction... all in the name of one man... Monte. The once scientist yellow yes slowly opened up a the report with a bemused smile appearing on his lips.
"I see that takes care of two Alteisen's... now all that's left is the lost cause one... have the Twins return no doubt she'll evaluate the scene... I doubt they continue to fight in that caliber a second time," Monte ordered as he stood up from his throne... his current location one of three monstrosities from the past created by the keyblade academy the ship facility Arcay. What better a battle ship then the ultimate dark secret of the keybladers past to use in the battle for complete control.
"Frostlace has confirmed combat approach to Targets Rena and Aoi she is refusing to give her current position to send back up."
"Not shocking she is a predator unit totema let her do things her way its better then trying to tighten the leash," Monte responded to the voice as he looed at the emptiness of the throne room where monitor displays filled the ceiling and walls... Monte was indeed the only thing close to human that was on the ship besides a few totema and the "energy source" no other form of life walked the halls of the powerful ship. Though he ruled a few worlds he had no human staff no their was no room for useless error of the human mind the totema, heartless, and unverse were enough. Speaking with the unverse Monte needed to have a chat with their source... but first the more important matter... the energy source. With a open palm Monte summoned a portal of darkness as he stood up from the massive throne.
"Ill hear the rest later Yoyo keep the other deployed totema in check and on their targets... their are few things left that can obstruct my rule over everything," Monte spoke as all the monitors went blank at his words. With a simple tug at his legs the once human being walked into the portal towards the reactor room.
"So hows my prized trophy doing Danu?"
♣Nobody is Somebody: Even if They Deny Their Own Existence(Castex OU)♣
"Once a terror to all those with a heart now a kindred spirit to those who wish to learn how to fight... my how the lord of Darkness has fallen," a voice chuckled lightly amused to the resting Sleif as a portal appeared not to far from the throne like chair as a entity donned in monk like attire walked out. A nobody yet somebody... the entity known as Castex.
"You seem to be adjusting to life well my friend this world is vast and very kind to even those who don't belong to it... a perfect place for myths to fade to nothing wouldn't you agree," the nobody asked ruffling his blue hair with his emerald eyes turning to his left to watch the resting Heartless humanoid.
Sizing up to his master, Alt connects one punch to the other. But he felt it's as if his attacks null as his mechanical fists near contact. Then it became apparent, the mechanical warrior saw through his master's stance. She's been denying the gathered momentum channeled through his fists.
"Oorya!"
With one straight heave, Alt connects a bullet punch. But was easily caught by Chiyu with her parry; but instead of blocking it, she literally caught his punch at mid-impact. "Tch!" He saw it coming, immediately he pulled his upper body back a bit and quickly gathers tremendous momentum. Alt connects it with a powerful counter-attack. Using the full-swing of his upper body, he unleashes roundhouse punch. He felt the attack connected and the impact of Zen was visible as it exploded.
"What?"
To his surprise, that attack also was caught by his master. With a quick shift of stance, and burst of Zen from Chiyu's metal wrists, Alt was rendered vulnerable for a split-second as he was stunned by the sheer resiliency of his master's Zen technique. "That technique.. It must be, the Jiyu no Ken." He thought as he witnessed her stance, familiarity and resemblance flood his mind. He is fighting Chiyu in the flesh.
"Aargh!"
At that brief moment, Chiyu connects a powerful palm strike again to his critical spot. The impact and damage was immediate this time. He felt the impact went through his body and came out his back. Like being shot by a speeding cannonball. Before he could fall unto the ground, his arms grabbed by Chiyu and threw him up her shoulders. And with a flash of speed, he caught the full impact of his master's rushing shoulder bash. The blow easily extinguished Alt's Zen within him and sent him flying off the ruined Command Spire.
As he was falling down, body and frame numb and paralyzed. He felt a breeze in front of him. As Alt opened his eyes, it was Chiyu, ready to strike him down. From the looks of it, she was about to deal the finishing blow on him.
N̵̶͘o̢! ͞͏L͏i̵v͟͠è̛.̕.̀͟.̕.̛̛.̨
Alt heard a warped, piercing voice inside his head.
"Grrraaagggh! Zen-Enkai!"
In a snap, Alt's body overflowed with Zen. His mechanical arms glowing like it was dipped in white-hot flames; bright trims of orange and yellow drew throughout his mechanical frame; and his eyes lit up like two burning suns.
The Zen-Enkai, Alt's secondary form of Zen. Usually, the second form of an individual's chi is comprised of his/her born element. For Alt, his born element is Fire, hence the suffix, Enkai which means True Fire. With this secondary form, the user's attacks and movements are greatly enhanced and are endowed with that born element; but for a limited time only. Using it too much can deal fatality to the user.
He quickly recovers in mid-air with an explosive aura. He pulled back and fired an explosive punch directly at Chiyu with a burning impact enough to make her crash down below. Alt immediately appeared below and grabbed his master's head with his mechanical arm in nigh-impact. He then tosses her away, sending her flying. Eyes lit up, and teeth gritting with rage, Alt then mustered his Zen to high outputs, engulfing him in an infernal aura of fire. With a burst of speed, he launches himself towards Chiyu with his fist pulled back and Zen channeled.
Shin Mutekiryuu: Genkotsugan
The Genkotsugan or Crashing Fist, one of Gou no Ken's many devastating moves. Here in this attack, the user slingshots his/her Zen unto his/her fists to create an amplified impact through any medium; water, land, and even air. When the impact lands on a given medium, it is manifested with a visible crack or fissures which then releases an explosive impact.
As Alt neared his striking distance, a brief flash of image appeared in his vision. He saw the image of his master Chiyu, in years past when they first met. Mellowing him for a bit, and causing him to purposefully hold back his attack to a glancing blow. The impact created from the air like broken glass, exploded behind Chiyu. Reducing any obstructing rubble to obliteration.
Kiara’s spirits instantly rose as she looked down at the cute border collie that had run up to her, dragging it’s owner with her. The girl stifled a giggle as the silver haired teen bent down and asked the dog (a girl she now knew) what her problem was and apparently she never acted this way when taken out on walks in the past.
Kiara herself never had any pets, her parents feeling that she wasn’t responsible enough to properly take care of one. They were actually, in retrospect, pretty spot on about this assumption. Any goldfish she’d gotten her hands on had lasted about four days under her care before mysteriously dying on day five. She’d taken in a stray cat once too but it had ran away after a week. The straw that broke the camel’s back was a rather unfortunate incident involving a classmate’s rabbit that she had accidently killed. She shuddered at the memory. She had been grounded for an entire semester after that and her parents had sworn to never let her anywhere near anymore pets. Hell she hadn’t even been allowed to go to the zoo after that!
..or maybe it was because the last time she’d gone to the zoo she had somehow gotten herself kidnapped by a gorilla and held hostage for a while.
“She’s so cute!” Kiara said aloud to the boy, bending down to give the doggy a pat on the head and pushing away her anti-animal memories. Really, she wasn’t that bad when it came to them. This dog would surely like her! Dogs were friendly! “What’s her name?”
As her hand got close the cute dog looked up at her with a mischievous glint in her eye before raising up as Kiara’s hand got closer...
..and bit down on her fingers.
The pink haired girl’s world stopped as pain shot through her hand and down her arm and she let out a loud wail of pain, falling backwards on her butt.
She shot back up, wringing her hand and glaring daggers at the collie who stared back and wagged her tail, eyes shining and looking the very picture of innocence.
Then Kiara’s stomach let out a loud, and very unladylike, growl and she sighed, blushing furiously and knowing that the boy’s first impression of her must be a bad one.
The damn collie had probably never bitten anyone before today..
Kiara smiled sheepishly at the boy while at the same time wondering what else would go wrong that day. With her current luck the town wouldn’t even HAVE a library.
Her quest for answers wasn’t starting at all like she had thought it was going to.
Chieuebasse Alteisen, better known as Chiyubasa Yanagi, a wandering monk of self-exile. During her days as a White Armada officer, she was the most compassionate among her men. Although stubborn at best, she is sure to make you battle-ready and hardened as a warrior, as a soldier. Now she is but a shell of her former self, heart broken and in the edge of her sanity. All that was left was her ruthless prowess and strength, devoid of emotions but rage and sadness. Now remorseless than before. Like a lone beast traversing lands without a purpose.
"Grrraaagggh! Zen-Enkai!"
As Chiyu was about to deliver the final blow, she suddenly felt a spike of energy surge from Alt. She was sure that her Iron Mountain Clash has extinguished his chi flow like a candle-lit flame. "This is...Ugh!" She was about to stride away but she was hit by a snap blow from her adversary. The impact was too much to extinguish with her Zen, it easily overpowered her and sent her on a high-speed dive bomb to the ground.
"The Second Zen... but how...?"
But that time she was still aware and well; Chiyu was about to land on her knees to get back, when to her shock, Alt appeared below her where she was supposed to land and grabbed her with his white-hot, mechanical palm. The touch of Alt's palm hissed on her pseudo-mechanical frame slightly burning her skin which is technically her armor. She felt pain, for the first time in a long time. Her dominant chi would have protected her but it just went through. Just who is this man? Could he be the real Alt? or is the enemy becoming more evolved and adapt?
She was then tossed forth at incredible speeds, she can't recover on time. As she raised her head, Chiyu saw the image of her adversary an inch away from delivering a destructive blow. Then in a split second, the attack missed! The Genkotsugan. A familiar technique and one of the most powerful of the Gou no Ken. All she heard was a loud explosion set off behind her made by that monstrous punch. Wasting no second, she pushed back Alt with an another shoulder bash then channeling her Zen as a rapid rate unto her palm, connecting a palm strike.
"I don't know who you really are... but know this... Wolve is dead. I held him in my arms, felt his warmth faded away as he was taken by the light. Thus, leaving me full of regrets. He died not knowing he has a mother--that he still has a family. A son I am proud of. The only treasure and blessing I had in this life. So don't you dare claim his identity for fallacy... How dare you!"
Chiyu's body overflowed with energy, just like Alt, she gained luminescent trims all over her body. Arms and eyes lit up but this time it was green like nature and cobalt as the sea. The burst of aura created powerful gusts of wind surrounding her.
"Zen-Fuumi!"
This was Chiyu's Second Chi. When Alt was fire, Chiyu's born element is the wind. She slowly took stance.
Jiyu no Ougi: Hikou
Hikou, or the Flight Stance. A fatal and deadly stance of Jiyu no Ken; wherein the user utilizes both his/her arms or rather all of his/her limbs as bladed weapons. The Zen endowed on the user's limbs makes it sharp enough to cut through even steel.
With a full swing of her arm, Chiyu unleashed a powerful streaming slash projectile using her bare mechanical hands. The towering projectile traveled directly at Alt with incredible speed. It was like a lightning quick sword flash. Quickly, she shifts stance again.
Hikouryuu: Hachidori
One of the many variation of the Flight Stance. Hikouryuu: Hachidori or Flight Stance: Hummingbird. In rapid succession, Chiyu delivers a barrage of aerial slash projectiles with her hands swinging as fast as a hummingbird flapping its wings. Thus the namesake of the stance.
"Dammit, listen to me, you dumbass! It's too damn dangerous!"
"So what? I laugh in the face of danger!"
SHING!
The pair stopped, just inches from the exit of the tunnel. Aoi had been so intend on getting out of there, finding an escape, that he barely realized what position they were in. Someone had heard their shouting. Someone knew that they were there. Not good...
You should really listen to her Aoi. Besides your a better hider then fighter wouldn't you say... I mean last time you fought it was a complete disaster!
Rena froze. The voice was unfamiliar, but chilling. Eerie. Just so... creepy. The tone alone twisted her stomach into knots.
"Move, kid!"
The girl was thrown back! She stumbled to a halt, staring at Aoi's back in front of her. She wanted to protest, to do something! But Aoi and Rena both knew what that thing was: a Totema. She had been hunted by the beasts for what seemed like months and Aoi refused to let anything happen to the kid. As much as she wanted to fight back, she stayed put, watching from behind the scenes.
A light broke through the tunnel, a figure falling to the floor. The tone of her voice was disgusting to say the least, enough to make Aoi and Rena want to puke. Still, Aoi summoned his weapon -- a shotgun -- and readied it to attack.
Its a shame I was hoping you wouldn't be here to interrupt some alone time between me and Rena, why don't you be a good boy Aoi... and disappear quickly.
"How 'bout... no." hissed the man, cocking his gun and reading it to fire. "You want the kid? Gotta fight me, bitch."
The Totema unleashed her attack. There was no time for either of the warriors to fight back! Aoi tossed his gun aside, waving his arm to save them both. The spike raid attack was met by metallic shield that blocked over Aoi and Rena. Aoi turned his back on the attack, wrapping his arms around the girl to keep her safe.
But the two ended up getting hurt anyways, their arms sliced up by the flying blades. Debris and rock fell around the tunnel, the pathway collapsing around them, but there was some good news.
"Look," muttered the man, motioning towards the ceiling.
There was an opening! The attack gave them an opportunity to escape and Aoi was certainly taking it!
"C'mon!"
Turning his metallic shield into a grappling hook, as Frostlace prepared the next attack, he saved them both from the next attack, getting up to the outside world.
"Why didn't you just use a portal?!" Rena snapped, slamming her fist into his arm.
"Geez, why not be thankful, kiddo? I saved your freakin' ass!"
"You could've just opened a portal and everything would've been fine!"
Aoi growled, "Yeah, if I could, I would have already!"
Rena scoffed, walking past the man. The scratches on her arms burned and the sand from the storm getting into her cuts only made matters worse. Pulling her hood tight over her head, the girl motioned towards the city.
"C'mon, we gotta hurry."
With a grumble, Aoi gripped his newly appeared sword and charged through the sandstorm after the girl. With any luck, they could've gotten out of this world and would've been able to escape Frostlace...
~~~~~~Know the Past for the Future~~~~~~

"So how's my prized trophy doing Danu?"

The portal from which Monte had just stepped through soon faded as quickly as it appeared, the scientist walking up to the Amazon tall woman before him. Turning to face him with her age weathered mask, the former Queen continued to turn allowing her long draping gown to slide across the metal floor in response.

Now bathed in the light from the massive machines, the once simple looking material began to squirm, numerous eyes of various sizes opening and squinting at the faint source of light cast on them, while the countless tendrils that made up the gown finally started to act alive.

"Sleeping without any stirs. His constant energy should supply you with all you will ever need. Your Totema are to be commended to bring him in alive." Spoke Danu, her voice distorting so much from behind the mask that it appeared to echo all around, while she slowly glided with her tendril dress towards Monte.

"However, it was down to their failure that allowed your power source to send the World Drainer out of your grasp. If they hadn't, you would have a great weapon along with your ship..."

Stopping once she was facing him, the Queen's dark purple eyes seemed to gaze straight through Monte for a split second, though who knew how long it was for the woman herself.

"You sent two more of your Totema to the other side, haven't you? We do hope you were successful in vanquishing another enemy. Certainly there must not be many left who could stand before you." Said the tall Queen, her grasp around the imposing staff seeming rather light, as if the great weight it held would suddenly cause it to slip out of her hand and down onto Monte himself.

"Once a terror to all those with a heart now a kindred spirit to those who wish to learn how to fight... my how the lord of Darkness has fallen." Sleif smile briefly appeared as he continued to sit upon the simple looking throne, his eyes not once opening to know who would speak so casually with him.

"You seem to be adjusting to life well my friend this world is vast and very kind to even those who don't belong to it... a perfect place for myths to fade to nothing wouldn't you agree?" Asked Castex, looking towards the still sitting Heartless.

"No better place, yes. It's best for us both to just stay and fade away in peace. No doubt you're here to inform me of something, or perhaps just to check up?" Said Sleif, smirking once more as he opened his eyes to look back down at the monk clothed Nobody.

"Your own disciples must be keeping you busy. That, as well as your little trips off this world." The Heartless offhandedly said as one from the pair of panther Heartless appeared by his side, as if just to get the stroke on its head from Sleif at that very moment.

Georgs sat on the edge as he began to ponder the bad feelingthat he had. The words that been repeatingthemselves when he had talked to the few people he could considered friends,Trust no one with your life. He shookhis head as he got up and proceeded down to the streets. Why were the words coming back now, it wasn’tlike he had any ties to this place. Hecould still, some giggling girls interrupted that train of thought. He stopped and stared at the ground for a fewseconds before he sighed and turned and entered a trolley to go across town.

He began scanning as soon as he began walking again, a pinkhaired girl? No, she’d most likely justtry to act like some kind of superhero. Hesighed, and began walking to a bar he visited for a drink or two, trying todecide between the girl or the guy. Hesaw someone on the ground in front of the bar. The window his most likely egress judging from the glass shards underhis body. Scratching his head he decidedto take a peek inside. What he saw madehim gasp, the place looked like it had been hit by a really bad storm. The only person still standing was a girl wholooked, from where he was standing, his own age, bright purple hair, andholding her stomach. He sighed, but ifshe was the cause then getting on her good side was a definite step in theright direction. He entered andattempted a disarming smile. He was onedge as he began. “Hey there, this placelooks like it’s been hit by a storm. Thismay be a bad time but you wanna get something to eat? I’ll buy.”

Avi was getting ready to decide where she was going to eat when some dude came up to her, all submissive and stuff, the type that just made her quiver with excitement. He was handsome, (she guessed, Avi was never really good at deciding how attractive people are aside from herself) and a bit taller than her. His gray hair made him look older than he really was and he was dressed weirdly, with some random piece of vegetable on his label, what was that? Broccoli? Eh, who cares, Avi wasn't a big fan on healthy things, blech.

She grinned wickedly, ready to pummel the dude into the earth when her stomach growled again. Groaning in complaint, she was ready to punch her stomach but then her little angel appeared on her shoulder. A miniature Avi with a halo over her head popped into existence, right on Avi's shoulder, and shook her head vigorously. "No! You can't go around beating random people up! It's wrong!"

Avi frowned, not exactly happy at seeing a figment of her imagination manifesting as another hallucination, again. "And why not?"

"Because he's offering to buy you food!" the Avi Angel said.

"Hm, good point." Avi agreed, rubbing her chin considerably.

"So, just go with him then once he buys you food, then you kill him!" the Angel continued.

"No, no, no!" Another Avi appeared on her other shoulder, this time she held a pitchfork and had blood-red pointy ears. "Why don't you just kill him and take his money! Then you've got free food!"

"Well, she can't exactly fight on an empty stomach," the Angel argued.

"She's got a point," agreed Avi.

"Pfft, you see this dude?" the Avi Devil laughed, pointing at him. "Very tall but he doesn't walk with confidence, meaning low self-confidence, inferiority complex, a pacifist personality and impotence. That and his decorative celery--"

"Ohh, a celery!" cried Avi in realization.

"-- Only backs up my deduction," finished Devil Avi.

"By jove," cried Angel Avi. "How did you figure that out?!"

"Elementary, my dear Watson. Plus, we're both part of Avi's mind, so, uh, we can all Sherlock Scan."

Avi rolled her eyes, smacking both Devil and Angel Avi causing them to disappear and grinned broadly at the stranger. "Sure!" In a few short steps she instantly closed the distance between them before she could blink. "But I gotta warn ya pal, I am starving!"

Alt was blown back by the sheer power of his former master's attack. Even though it seemed like a tap, the damage was piercing--even surpassing his grandfather's blows on him. Alt knew, he knew his master was only using a portion of her full potential going head-to-head with her is a battle he can't win. He can only fight back but the question is, for how long before his body gives in? He's already exhausted almost all his chi, if he pushes it to the limit, he'll disintegrate like a frail rock on a rapid stream. Alt stammered as he got up, the attack from Chiyu destroyed his left shoulder engine; which rendered his entire left mechanical useless and not functional.

His vision blurred and strength fading by the second. He narrowed his sight as he was greeted with a sudden strong gust of wind.

"Zen-Fuumi!"

Fuumi, the element of wind. The strong torrent of wind was coming from none other than Chiyu herself. It is said that the wind makes the fire burn brighter and grow to last longer. But this wind was not for that purpose, it was hell-bent on extinguishing the flame to nothingness until cold ashes are left. Although muffled in the strong gusts he can hear Chiyu's words as she spoke amid the eye of the storm.

"I don't know who you really are... but know this... Wolve is dead. I held him in my arms, felt his warmth faded away as he was taken by the light. Thus, leaving me full of regrets. He died not knowing he has a mother--that he still has a family. A son I am proud of. The only treasure and blessing I had in this life. So don't you dare claim his identity for fallacy... How dare you!"

"M-mother...? Mother?"

Alt was left in shock and awe. Speechless upon her revelation. That warmth and sheltering presence he felt whenever he's around her. Slowly, Alt walked forth towards his Chiyu, his former master, his mother. Amid it, he was suddenly struck by a tormenting pain in his chest. "Argh..." He grunted as he clenched his chest.

Again, he heard a piercing voice from his head. The last time it was just nonsensical gibberish, now it was speaking to him like it was a part of him like Number Zero. Except, more ominous and mysterious and unpredictable. Coexisting with the pain in his chest. Like something is gonna burst out of it. Before he can recover, Alt was again struck by Chiyu's attack, he had no more strength to dodge it. The attack instantly obliterated his right arm. Leaving him defenseless and weak.

Heaving, Alt set his sight on his mother. Walking slowly towards her with tears of blood rolling down on his face. A few steps further, he was struck continuously by a barrage of projectiles unleashed by Chiyu. Like rain falling down from the grey sky. He didn't held back, he just continue walking through the barrage while his body was being beaten and lacerated in the process. The last 2 projectiles sliced through his knee armor, crippling him, falling on his knees. He looked up and saw his mother's silhouette. "Mo--ther..."

One strike after another, Chiyu mercilessly rained slash projectiles at Alt. He could dodge it but instead, the malefactor impostor took it all as he was walking towards her. Her attacks greatly crippled him and rendered her opponent defenseless and seemed like unable to fight back. At point-blank distance, she eased her stance and faced the malefactor eye to eye.

The damage she has dealt to him was clearly visible, the cuts, damaged and wreck mechanical limbs; right down to his heavily gashed face. Chiyu can feel he was shaking and swaying, like he could collapse any second now. This malefactor had every chance to fight back and even giving him an opening but he just stood still. The beaten malefactor fell on his knees.

Slowly, the beaten Alt had slumped on her legs. Much to her surprise. She felt his heart beat upon her chest and then whispered.

"Mo--ther..."

That voice, the voice of warmth and comfort. A call of a son to his mother. As evident as the tears falling down her face. Chiyu clenched her fist and rammed it to his chest, then lifted him up above ground. "You are not---him!" Anger and sadness filled her broken heart once more. Chiyu channeled Zen unto her fist then threw Alt forth by opening her fist to a palm strike. She stomped the ground then with incredible speed, she zoomed towards Alt. She moved so fast that the only visible movement was the trailing spark from her lit eyes. Like a firefly flying at the speed of light.

Shin Mutekiryuu no Ougi: Gekidan Satsujin

One of the six forbidden paths of Muteki no Ken. Gekidan Satsujin or the Colossus Killer, a hidden technique where the user pushes the Zen to the limit to grant him/her light-speed steps then channeling that to his/her fist to create a silent blow on the enemy. It may be underwhelming but the Zen accumulated is more than enough to extinguish any form of inner energy the enemy has. Even his/her own soul. The unlucky one would be dead before they know it. Dubbed the Colossus Killer because it was the technique Gutsvald Alteisen used during his earlier campaigns where he used it to strike down a horde of colossal heartless with one blow.

Chiyu appeared a few feet behind Alt with a trail of fire on her wake. "It is done..." Chiyu dusted her shoulders and pulled up her loose kimono. "Father... My son... may this be the first step towards justification. The armada may be gone but I'm still alive. The White Armada is still alive while an Alteisen still breathes. I'm gonna find out who's behind all this." Chiyu clenched her fists tight. "--and when I do, I will deliver divine punishment." With a gust of a wind, Chiyu suddenly vanished without a trace.
