Thoughts on KH3D

The two new projects that Nomura has been hinting at have been revealed.
One for the DS and one for the 3DS.

Now, I have a couple questions.
Which one is the one that connects all the game back together?

Coded sorta did that with the ending, but not really...

At the link above I found a game description:

With a colorful cast of characters appearing in the Disney worlds in 3D, players can delve into a lifelike story and world in KINGDOM HEARTS 3D (tentative title). Get to better know all the familiar and beloved characters through this title.

Now, this description doesn't reveal much.
If you go back though to one of Nomura's interviews, he said something like this: "One of my next projects will include multiple scenarios, like BBS and CoM does." With gameplay shown of Sora and Riku, I am convinced that this game is the one with multiple scenarios, and anyways, it's obvious that Re:Coded wouldn't because Coded didn't.

But what's the plot? Like really, what else is there? How will this game make us more familiar with the characters of the Kingdom Hearts universe?

I have a small, but very far-fetched, theory. KH3D might reveal the next villain , and the villain might be trying to change the past or something. That's why we are seeing it from KH1 Sora and Riku.

it probably revisits a few key moments in the series, seieing them under new light, with multiple haracters as an attempt to connect everything together for kh3.

There's already a remake of coded... it's something completely different.

That could be pretty cool.
Mickey could remake the journal into data, making Data Sora again, but then put Data Sora into the real Sora's heart.

exactly! they have to get the data somehow! if ansem could insert Data into Soras heart, so could Mickey.

And thus starts the new adventure for Sora. But why have a Data Riku? or is that Data Riku the journal itself again?

that should be in spoilers. we have some screenshots of riku so i kinda guessed that Mickey sent Data in the form of riku and sora to uncover the rest of the data.

Possibly. But we're guessing this whole thing, so, the only thing we can really only do is wait.
I hate Nomura.

i think this has to do with riku's point of view from the first kh. and i guess you can play as sora too.

I don't get it. Suddenly, I'm seeing an early screenshot of Sora & Riku (KH) and I thought that KH 3D would somehow a follow up to KH2. Or maybe it's a side-story (with Riku)/& remake of the first KH. I still don't get it.

I think more of it will be reveal by Square on the E3 conference about the game in few hours time. To me, I think it's a side story involving both Sora, Riku and Mickey, possibly the two latters are the main focus in the game. It would be great to see Mickey as a playable character for once.

Perhaps this game takes place in Castle Oblivion and some how, Sora and Riku's memories have caused them to take on their KH1 forms while in the Castle. This may also explain why Twilight Thorn appears in Traverse Town, it could be that Roxas' memories are interfering with Sora's and thus Roxas' memories such as those of Twilight Thorn are also coming to life within the castle.
