I remember when I would come on this site every couple of days to see a bunch of stuff updated, even if it was minuscule. I miss those days.

Now I feel like I repeatedly enter a dead site, and it's starting to get to me. Does anyone think the staff can do some events of some kind, even if Tetsuya Nomura is keeping all the goodies to himself? I feel as if my major fanboyism is fading away ... and I would rather hang on to it. I love KH with a passion, and I want to keep it that way.

If the above is possible, anyone got any other ideas? There's only so many times I can play the current games that are out (just finished the 12th playthrough of BBS, or 4 if you count all 3 stories as one playthrough, which is still a lot).

Anything is better than nothing at this point.

PS: Sorry if this is the wrong section, but this seemed the best place for it to me.

There is the Hottest of the Hot thing going on right now.

But this time of the year is typical for a news drought. We hear a little about it after Christmas and then you get nothing until E3.

And that's only about a month away. So not much longer. :)

It's a month before E3 trust me this site will get very active in the weeks leading up to and after E3. And then we have TGS in September ^.^.

The staff does realize this. We've tried countering the news drought with some editorials every now and then. However, a lot of staff have been busy with school and finals and such. Surely you all can relate.

From Febuary through May is the time of year that every KH fan and most of the time every video game fan dreads because usually this period is when the news drought is. There are no gaming events in this period so gaming news is scarce, as such it causes a news drought.

However in June E3 comes around and there is plenty of news then. This years E3 seems to be espicially exciting with the possibility of the new nintendo console being shown off as well as possible demos for it. Possibly the PSP2 will be shown off more at E3 as well. And of course for KH fans let's not forget that Nomura promised last year that KH3D would appear at this years E3.

So give it another month and the news will start flowing in from E3 and activity shall return to the site.

Also there should be plenty of magazine scans showing off KH3D, and other stuff like the new nintendo console and PSP2. As well Tokyo Game Show isn't too long after E3. I think it's usually september or October that E3 takes place and then in December we have Jump Festa of course.

News droughts happen.

In fact a very LONG one happened after the first BBS trailer came out in 2007, I can't recall exactly but there was no new news for 6+ months I think.

Lol. We have a news drought every year around this time. I think we got off good this year because there was the 1st Production Department Presentation, which gave us a ton of news in a day. If that event hadn't happened, we'd have been newsless for an even longer period of time.

E3 is coming up, so things will pick up. Actually, this site will be so busy that you won't know what to do with yourself. Then it will crash because of the wave of posts and new members. Then for the month after things will still be active then the site will fall back into silence until TGS.

It's a process.

Lol, for now you should just go hang out in other sections. Don't think about KH (don't be like some of us who over-think the series and start disliking it) and go hang out in FI, or GD.

Wait, this website is dead? Have YOU seen KH3.org? Seriously, visit that website.

I think this is the most active KH website now. KH3 lost activity, KH-Vids got lazy in their cutscene uploading, so people lost the main reason to go there.

KH-vids is owned by Spdude too though.

Heartstation had good front-page traffic, forum died very quickly because it had stability issues and never really recovered, I'm not sure how their front page is doing.

So yeah, news droughts are news droughts.

You people think this is bad? Four words, "Final Fantasy Versus Thirteen".

Thanks for all the replies and encouragement. It's really appreciated.
I wasn't aware that there was an actual time for video game news droughts. I am now enlightened. ^^

But yes, I agree with the FF Ver. 13 comment. KH 3 won't even start until that game's done since the KH team's over there (from what I read). It needs to get finished already. How many years has it been in production? (and by extension, making us wait for KH 3)

It has been in dev for...four-five years now? But even then it wasn't in full development. A lot of that time was spent building up Crystal Tools and aiding other teams with help (like the FFXIII team)

Also wasn't the Versus team split a bit into the "BBS" team, which was supposedly nonexistent, it was just taking a piece out of the other teams, also explaining why BBS took four years.

Square seems to split resources too much these days.

The Osaka team took a year off from BBS to make Re:CoM.
