It's not for every boss battle, although it was for Cerebrus. There is footage on this site people . Go to the downloads section and download "Playable Mickey" something something. You get my point, it's not what happens every time you die, it may just be sometimes, or just for that cerebrus battle. Not i'm not sure about that whole D-Charge thing, but you do have to press the triangle button a lot next to Sora to revive him and Auron, then Sora wakes up and kills Cerebrus. See, Mickey can't kill Cerebrus, you can't finish him off, Sora has too. Although, after Sora woke up from being healed, his drive bar was locked so..i don't know what's up with that.

i was thinking, maybe mickey appears when you have full drive, so if your drive level is 3 and you get 3 full drive bars and die, mickey comes in, i dont know, maybe see need to see soras death to find out how or why it happens

As an owner of Kingdom Hearts II, I can tell you right now that Mickey does NOT come into play if you lose to a boss all the time. It happens at random times, and more often than not, you have to start the boss battle over when you die.

Acctually I think it applies to ALL boss battles cuz I saw in a spoiler video a kid had lost to Xaldin & the same option thing came up (this was in the japanese version) & then all of the sudden you see Mickey summersault outta nowhere & you start fighting as him. I said " UN-F@#$ING BELIEVABLE!!!" so that goona be real hot. Hell, I might loose on purpose just to play with Mickey

actaully this is very true i sawa video on youtube with mickey fighting cerberus and xaldin
it only happens in certain boss battles or so ive heard and you cant beat the boss with mickey you can only like hold them back and use a special command (triangle) to revive sora so he can fight bbut by no means do you get to control mickey the rest of the time throughout the boss battle and beat the boss if you want o see the video ill post a link to show you guys

I saw a video were you play as King Mickey after Sora dies, and I saw a walktrough were it says at the starting of Sora 's Story when Mickey saves Sora from the Dusks he gives Sora Ansem's Other Report 2, something else, and the Crystal Ball (which makes Mickey able to come to Sora's aid.)

It is true. I was playing the japanes game and he didnt come out until i was at the Xaldin battle. He actually came out TWICE!!!
