When Shiki showed up at the end, not only had I not realized how much I missed her, I had forgotten how easy her battle style was!

Yep, very happy

I found though that as you get farther, she has a more diverse amount of symbols on her cards. Sort of made it a little more of a memory game and such, so I stick to Josh.

I did however, equip just the right clothing to Shiki so that she has a level 2 Fusion Attack right at the start of the battle.

I got it so that Beat had his lvl 2 Fusion right off the bat >:3

Same here. I use what items I can get to maximise their Fusion Stars.

But at the same time, most of the time when I use Joshua's Level 3 Fusion Attack on enemy's in Beats Week or Another Day, it heals them instead of doing damage...

I find Shiki was just easier to stack clothing with because you get her early on, and her clothes are cheap for the early game. Plus you shop a lot on your first opportunity. I think there were black skinny jeans that give three stars? Nice.

Maybe, I can't quite remember.

I just make sure to give the characters their specialised items (Shiki's Mr. Mew, Joshua's Angel Feather, Beats Skull-beanie).

Heh, for me, I just have one combination of clothes I use for whoever in my partner at that time:

Green With Envy (Regeneration II)
Lovely One-piece (Regeneration II)
Plumeria Studs (Regeneration III)
Samurai Helm (for the +500 HP)

That makes me worry about recovery so much less. As for Neku, here's my current outfit:

Lollipop's Parka (+300 HP)
Pi-Face's Cap (+200 HP)
Pi-Face's Jeans (+100 HP)
Samurai Armor (+1035 HP)

Again, HP is my main concern here, especially since I dropped my level down to 1 for my grinding purposes. Though, since I have it set to easy to make the matches quicker, HP isn't really a concern since no one can even damage me !

After working so hard to get them, I just gave Neku an entire Sho get-up. Awesome as it is, I find I have no way for Regeneration. Hm. Splish Splash Barrier it is.

My beef with Shiki's clothing is that because they're from the first week, their stats suck :\ Beat's Fusion boosters at least have normal defense.

Which is good, because he needs the defense, at least in my experience. Guy just couldn't take a hit when I was fighting Uzuki.

I wanna say that food can solve both, but that brings us back to the deal that once their natural stats are maxed out, the clothes still play an issue :\

That's why you raise their Bravery to high enough levels to where the clothes aren't limited.

Actually, I don't see what your problem with Shiki is as far as her clothes go. She can wear others' clothes too you know. It's not as if she is confined to dresses, hot pants and ridiculously short skirts.

She is if you want the fusion stars.

Thats true. But then again, I suppose that's the whole point, of having to make the choices on Fusion Stars or Stats. Personally, I just go for one item that has FS' and then go for other stats

One of the things that made my hype for the DS skyrocket when I heard of it.
I was not disappointed :3

So, I not have Neku's stats maxed out, so I'll be using him to work on HP as I get the others caught up. Joshua only had ATK left to max and I think I may take on the boss chain battle once that's done, get the feather and complete Pork City.

I'm up to day three of Joshua's week on my third play through. This time I'm concentrating on getting those pins and weird items that I didn't think of getting before.

I did that in my second play through. Almost have everything at 100% except for Pin mastery, that's where I got stuck. :<

Also, I need to max out everyone's stats.
