Oh, I am with you, I absolutely love Fairy Gma (especially over Yen Sid, may he rot) and I genuinely hope she replaces him as this saga's main go-to. We best be still seeing her in KHIV.

I also really want a Maleficent/Fairy Gma scene. I think they'd be electric on screen together.

0.2 > 3 for level design

Better platforming and integration of Disney properties into mechanics / story. Castletown and Darkworld being more open world and the the forest being more linear show either is capable of making use of platforming effectively and KH3 didn't capitalize on it in the same way 0.2 did, especially the use of Disney stuff (clock tower, mirrors, thorns) in the levels.

Dream Drop Distance would’ve been a more natural starting point for Kairi to get in some Keyblade training. After all, she only recently got a Keyblade as of KH2’s ending, so why not have her journey across the Sleeping Worlds alongside Sora and Riku?

Given the multiple times I've had this talk with people, it's cuz "why would she take the Mark of Mastery exam with no training" apparently

I think I'd rather Union X have been ported to Switch after finishing than outright remade.
My unpopular opinion about KHUX is that it should be remade, but not with shiny UE4 graphics like some people are asking for. Instead, it should use the existing assets, but have new gameplay that flows well as a single-purchase experience instead of the dragged-out freemium monstrosity it was when it shut down.

Why would I want this over a hypothetical UE4 remake? Because it's something that BitGroove could do on their own instead of having to hijack one of the other KH teams away from making entirely new games.

But alas, SE doesn't consider my opinion when deciding what games to make or remake and there's no sign of either type of remake.

(But if they did make it it should be multiplatform. Please no more having to by a whole new console for the new KH game!)

That place. The place with the thing.

I'd always envisioned a UX remake as having the same cutesy art-style, but in 3D. Think along the lines of how that abridged mobile version of FFXV looked

A KH1 remake would, best case scenario, only have about 60% of the content of the OG. I don't believe the current KH team is capable of being anywhere near as meticulous with the little details as the people who made KH1.

They could make cooler combat with flashier moves... but the kinetic energy that exists in KH1 IS its greatest asset. The authenticity of the many now-deceased actors, the complicated little side adventures you go on while synth grinding, the shockingly abundant amount of text dialogue... none of it would survive into a remake.

It's sort of a pointless exercise. There's nothing unpalatable about KH1's story presentation, and there are qualities to KH1 that the series has yet to surpass. It's a game that is both simple and exceedingly complex, it is the bullseye achievement of Nomura when it comes to making a kids game with the complexity of Takeshi's Challenge. That was such a cool goal and it really puts KH1's uniqueness into perspective.

I think a KH1 remake really would be a boring creation and a needless effort

It'd be kinda dumb if they remake UX and we'd still have to see the graveyard-making Keyblade War with chibi people
