I don't have any official information as of yet like an artical but all this appears to be happening. like a live action remake of the fantasia classic scene

Starring Nicholas Cage
From IMDB
A sorcerer leaves his workshop in the hands of his apprentice, who
gets into trouble when the broomstick he's tasked to do his chores for him somehow develops a mind of its own.

Re: The sorceror's Apprentice

Sounds....odd.
Why ruin a masterpiece in Fantasia? It'll be interesting to see how this turns out

Re: The sorceror's Apprentice

they are using the same concept but i don't think they are trying to replace it

Re: The sorceror's Apprentice

the sorcerer's apprentice was a poem written in the 18th century, so it'd be going off of that, not the fantasia retelling

Re: The sorceror's Apprentice

Might be because it's usually assosiated with the Disney movie though.

except I think it mentioned disney in the aritcle

The movie's being made by Disney (and Jerry Bruckheimer). So it'll more than likely take into account what we're familar with with the Fantasia retelling and expanding on the story by taking elements of the poem.
