ok so anyone else think it could be the first human nobody? i mean heartless did exist back then so there maybe a chance that a few very few nobodies existed as well?

Oh my God, you must be kidding. It was confirmed a very very very long time ago that Xehanort became a nobody 1 year after BBS, which would be 9 years before KH1.

I'm sticking to the theory that it's a new form of Xehanort.

Now that I think about it some more, he does seem to be a palette swapped Xemnas and guess who else was a palette swapped version of the original, Vanitas Sentiment. Yep, until it's confirmed otherwise, I'm banking on MX's Sentiment. Why it took on the appearance of Xemnas and didn't wield a recolored version of MX's keyblade, I'm not sure, but like someone said, there's far too many similaraties and there's few other people it could be, besides Eraqus' Sentiment or the new villain. Maybe, the appearance had to do with Terra/ MX merging and like Vantias, it was foreshadowing a latter incarnation of them. (Xemnas)

Update: I think I might of figured it out why he doesn't have a recolored version of MX's keyblade. I think it has to do with the way he was created, given this really is MX's Sentiment. If Terra's LS wields his original keyblade because Terranort doesn't, then why wouldn't the same go for MX's Sentiment. I have the slightest idea on how Vantias' Sentiment was made and considering how he seems to be available before the battle, he either is not canon or some form of an Unverse-Sentiment combination. However, we know how Terra's and maybe MX's was made, so maybe they can only wield what;s available to them. If MX's back-up weapon really was those Ethereal Blades or they're something that fills for keyblades when a form of a wielder can't wield, then.. yeah..

Not true. Xemnas in FM 1 was definitely canon, as it's shown in the flashbacks Roxas receives from Sora's adventures in KH and Xemnas repeatedly mentions he's met Sora before hand.

Its possible that canonically, Xemnas monitors Sora in other ways.Its possible that the fight was there to show the existence of Xemnas.Likewise, LS is canon but its possible that the fight between him and Sora was purely symbolical and not canon.

Anyway, I personally think its Xehanort

No we directly see that cutscene where he fought Sora in Roxas's memories at the beginning of KH2. That fight happened.

Likewise where does it say LS fight never happened?
