Because some people don't think it's kinky.
Because it ruins Riku's character and makes him OOC [a romantic? I don't think so!]

OOC as in, putting someone else he just met above his best friend who is in a coma and in danger of losing his memories for good and relying on him. I mean, before Days, if I had seen a fic in which Riku went gallivanting around with some OC when Sora was in danger, I would have put a big 'OOC' stamp on it and hit the back button. Wouldn't you?

Because Riku wouldn't risk his best friend for this girl he barely knows.
Because it has no base whatsoever [read: and no, SoRiku, RiKai, or RiNami does not count], silly fangirls]
Because what kind of pairing would have two people fighting one minute and the guy is brushing the bangs of the same girl he fought and called her Keyblade a fake the next?
*Because they met in a poorly written game, so it wouldn't be a good idea to pair these two from the start.
*Because this pairing doesn't really matter since you can pair Xion with almost anyone in Days.
*Because if Riku dose have an interest in Xion it's only because she looks like Kairi [me: or Sora ]
*Because Rion basically gives someone an excuse for liking SoRiku without it LOOKING like SoRiku
*Because it's oddly familiar to Edward/Bella [no offense to any Edward/Bella fans here, just pointing out what we observe]

Holy crap, I just realized: Riku and Edward both had golden eyes at one point! AAAARGH!

About three things I was absolutely positive:

1. Riku was an impostor.
2. There was a part of him- and I wasn't sure how dominant that part might be- that wanted to clobber me over the head and drag me back to Sora.
3. I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

*Because it's just stupid how Riku gives Xion a choice because she's sweet and adorable and Roxas gets no second chance.

I just think it's so dumb that for Xion, he was all "Aww you poor baby, don't worry I'm not gonna steal you away, I'll let you have a choice and you can return to Sora when you're good and ready. " Such bullshit. Then with Roxas, it was like "OHH fcuk YOU I'M GONNA KNOCK YOU OUT AND HAUL YOUR ASS TO SORA. YOU HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER SO HA." Harsher, less fair, definitely, but totally realistic for Riku. Xion gets off though cause she's a beautiful sweet kind perfect little angel and no one would ever wanna hurt her, ever. Amirite?

*Because he was probably going to force her to go back to Sora in the end anyway.

Yet he planned on her being a sacraficial lamb for Sora either way, whether she made the choice or he had to force her, he was going to have be sacraficed for Sora's sake. Total love there! 8D I make it a habit to throw my loved ones in a volcano every year out LOOOOVE, it's just what you do. It's called 'tough love'. *nodnod*

He had a problem.

See, he was in love with his best friend. Had been for a while. No ifs or buts about it. He wasn't sure about his sexuality; all he knew was that Sora was simply his world.

But, his father would never allow it. No, his father was one of those manly men, who wouldn't accept Riku having a partner that didn't have a vagina. (Or a partner who didn't appreciate the use of antlers in all their decorating, but that was another issue altogether.)

And if his father didn't accept him, then he'd probably be thrown out. Or shot. Riku's father wasn't all that forgiving, and his pride was an ugly thing.

So, all there was to do… was to find himself a girlfriend. Hopefully one with chocolate-brown hair and eyes like sun on the sea… Riku hopped out of bed and stormed out into the street.

Long story short, Riku found a girl. She had the wrong hair, but her eyes were so strikingly similar that he could almost pretend it was Sora. Of course, after spending time with her, stroking her hair and listening to her troubles and protecting her from all the nasty people who seemed to be out to get the poor little girl for some reason, he grew to like her for her. And, he was finally able to remember her name; Xion. Which was much less awkward all around.

It was a hot summer night, and the two of them were making out on Xion's bed. She wasn't much like he imagined Sora would be; she lay there like a blow-up doll while he did most of the work.

Sora would be squirming around and demanding Riku let him—

Riku muffled a groan against Xion's neck. "Hey," he said, running his hands down her slender figure, fire clawing at his stomach, "is this okay?"

"Um," she said, flushing. Oh, she looked so good. "I… I have to say something first."

"Mm-hm," said Riku, slipping his fingers just inside her waistband, nipping at her throat.

"I—I—ah~ Rikuuuu," she moaned, fingers sliding though his hair. His breath was hot against her collarbone. "I—I—I have a condition—"

"Mm?" he said, trying to focus on her words. A condition? He'd promise anything right now. She slid her hands down his back, sending sparks down his spine, and placed them on his, where they rested on her hips. Slowly, they inch her waistband down lower and lower. Her breath hitched, and she closed her eyes.

"—It's called mixed gonadal dysgenesis," she said.

Riku fainted.

Like, all I can think of right now is the idea of Roxas and Xion makin' sweet whoopee.
It'd be fine from Roxas' perspective, fair enough. But what the HELL is that going to look like when Xigbar's creeping? The more I think about it, the more I laugh.

But does "it" appear or disappear depending on who's looking at it? That's the golden question.

Now picture that from Xigbar's perspective. Roxas and Ven (Xion) getting it on. Except face to face.
It'd essentially look like convulsing Siamese twins conjoined via their genitalia.

Their sex would be like this, but replace Roxas with Riku.

1.they met in a poorly written game.
2.what girl would go for a guy when the first time they met he beet her ass that's like kairi being into Axel after he kidnapped her.

The only character in KH who fits kinky is Larxene: and that's because we know she wouldn't be off-character if she did.

Some people have managed to join and keep it civilize in other cases. Some in the Naminé club are Kairi haters, for example, which has also a mix of Kairi likers. Then again, I can't vouch for what goes on in there or how it's handled.

First of all, Strawbs, I don't think Riku "barley" knows Xion. He probably doesn't think about her wheat, either. The word you're looking for is barely.

Second, I can't attest to the other Riku/Xion shippers on here, but;

A) I do not present it as something that should be shipped because it's "kinky." I named the DeviantArt club black-x-blindfold for a laugh, and someone's gone running with it as a reason to hate on us as shippers. Not. Cool.

B) How does it make Riku OOC? At least in the way I write it, it doesn't make Riku any more of a "romantic" than any other pairing with him does.

C) Riku isn't risking Sora for Xion. That seems very clear to me, that he's choosing Sora, but that given the chance, he'd have them both if he could. Giving Xion the chance to do what she thinks she needs to do, and make her own choices, doesn't mean giving Sora up for her.

D) If we're going to talk about "baseless" shippers, then obviously we should be hating all the crack pairings too. I'm sorry, but to me, this shouldn't be listed as a reason in ANY pairing hateclub (except possibily where the two characters actively hate each other) - and not because of the infamous "all pairings are go" interview, either. It's a stupid reason that you could say about almost any pairing.

Also, if we want to talk about RiXi as a reflection of SoRi, it's at least as much a reflection of RiKai, since Xion's nature is basically the two in a blender with some black hair dye.

@Zulkir: You're not looking hard enough, then. Smile owns the FC here and I own the one at DeviantArt.

I was kidding. xD; It was a joking way of saying, "Rion = SoRiku", as I said in that post. I KNOW there aren't a TON of Rion fans who double as SoRiku fans, something I also pointed out in that post. I was just kidding.
Personally, I don't mind jokes about all of us being AkuRoku fangirls. I've seen people JOKE about that before at dA, as in they didn't honestly believe that of us. It's just when so many people actually TRULY believe it that annoys me.

Xion basically IS Roxas and Sora. That's what a replica is. ^^; An extra Sora. An extra Roxas. That's WHO she is. Thus, I and others tend to joke that any male who is hooked up with her is still a yaoi pairing. This includes Rion, which seems to be the most popular Xion coupling out there.

Only said if coz I wasn't sure if there was one yet.
