Chapter 23

Axel cringed as the room was set in complete darkness, then the feeling of Larxene grabbing his arm suddenly left him. Causing him to gasp and look around frantically, “Larxene!” he called out, then heard a scream from somewhere in the room.

“Sorry, real thing, I couldn’t resist,” snickered his clone from the darkness.

Axel felt his anger growing, there was no way he would let his clone hurt Larxene again. “Why don’t you show yourself so I can kick your ass?!” challenged the angry pyro.

“Ooh, I’m scared now,” said the replica sarcastically as he approached Axel, sparks flying every time he took another step. “I’ll show you what it feels like to be nothing!”

Before he knew it, flames went flying around him, then a sharp pain in his arm, sending him flying back. Axel groaned and sat up, lighting his chakrams aflame, then charged at his fake. He couldn’t see anything, but he let his instincts do the fighting, every now and then the flames lit up part of the room. He was tired of constantly fighting himself, why couldn’t he enjoy the heart he now had? Instead, he was in risk of losing it again.

“Oh, and I forgot to thank you for leading me on to your girlfriend, I had fun,” taunted the replica, sending Axel into more rage. He had forgotten how he had played her, and his anger had risen higher than he had ever felt it.

“And I forgot to pay you back for that!!” shouted Axel as he slashed his flaming wheels across the fake. Finally hitting his target, he felt the assassin part of him coming back. Back when he was cold and empty, when he had to murder Vexen, then Zexion..

He felt the flames engulfing him again, and shot waves of flame every which way, the only thought of his mind was to kill.

“Whoa, it’s like Axel is the Human Torch,” said Pence in awe as he continued to watch the screen.

“I’ve never seen that guy so mad, I swear he’s gonna end up burning down the castle,” said Hayner in the same shock.

“Hope he’ll be okay,” said Kairi quietly, “He’s fighting harder than ever,”

“Yeah, but where did the others go? And where’s Xemnas?” pondered the King.

“Are you getting this Jiminy?” asked Donald as he looked down on the Cricket jotting down notes.

“Yep!”

“What was that?” asked Sora as the four of them got to safety in the other room, Zexion and Riku looking around frantically.

“It was the signal to your death,”

Omg! I love it Axels having issues with keeping his calm which is what he needs. He needs to think or else he lose himself again. Wise man once say you must be calm to fight, because man who fighta with anger is blinded and is unable to win while opponent is free to let you wear yourself outa then kill you.
