I can answer that one for you, no. Well you have to complete them but you don't have to do the second levels and stuff. You just have to open them.
I have a question to test your abilities, what is the second world you get to go to in your gummi ship (Twilight Town doesn't count because you only depart from there, Hallow Bastion is the first).

Lol nice. I don't really find the Gummi Ships interesting. I was encouraged to in the first one because otherwise I suck. But in KH2, the little chipmunks made designs for me so there was no need.

Just google KH2 walkthroughs lol thats what I did for finding all the treasure chests and the Winnie the Pooh pages. Lemme see now...

Pride Lands: Oasis
Hallow Bastion: I forgot
Land of Dragons: Throne Room
Agrabah: Ruined Tower (I think that's what it's called)
