This thread is super long so I haven’t gone all the way through it, but has there been any consideration of John Noble replacing Leonard Nimoy? He’s voiced Mallus on Legends of Tomorrow and Scarecrow in Arkham Knight, so he’s got that raspy villain thing down.

Man, I watched the entire season of LoT and never once thought of him; he'd be an excellent choice.

Funnily enough, I think Scott Glenn is the best shoe-in for Master Xehanort's replacement voice. He also has the raspy voice down too.

I would honestly love it for the sheer fact that the voice actors for Master Xehanort and Young Xehanort would be those of Mallus and Beebo, respectively, which you’ll appreciate if you’ve seen the season finale from last night. xD

I really don't know how I feel about Drake Bell on KHIII... I really don't like him but whatever eh? One more person to confirm that the Voice working has been going on for a while.

Funnily enough, I think Scott Glenn is the best shoe-in for Master Xehanort's replacement voice. He also has the raspy voice down too.

Scott Glenn would be a fantastic choice. But I haven’t seen where he’s done any video game work in the past. (That’s just from looking quickly through his filmography; I could be wrong.) So in John’s favor, he’s actually been doing some voice work in the recent past. He also fits within the LOTR, Star Wars, and Star Trek circle that Disney and Square Enix like to pull their older voice actors from.

Either of them would be great though. My biggest question is if they’ll want the new VA to essentially do a Nimoy impression or put their own spin on it. I’d honestly prefer the latter out of respect for Nimoy’s unique work. The important thing is they retain the elderly, dark, and charismatic qualities essential to MX, while still working in their own style.

Wasn’t it?? That show never fails to amaze me in how it handles insane ideas in the most genius ways.

Now that Hayner, Pence and Olette are confirmed for KH3, I wonder if their VAs will return too. Jessica DiCicco should be a given since she's still active in the VA industry, and I know Justin Cowden is still around based on that KHInsider interview, but I haven't heard Sean Marquette in anything since Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, which finished airing a decade ago.

Sean Marquette is still acting, IMDB says he was in a show called The Goldbergs that ran till this year. I would imagine they probably got him back if they project was over.

Jessica DiCicco was heavily pregnant when KH3 recording was going on, but she kept working right up until mid-April, I believe, which is when she had her baby. She might have been called in before then to record, as I doubt she will be going out any time soon to do some work since raising a baby is tough work.

Since I haven't seen anyone bring it up, what do you think the deal with Derek Stephen Prince not returning for KH3 is? NDA bluff? Was he replaced? Is Even straight up dead? I don't understand why one of Ansem's six apprentices and a founding member of the Organization wouldn't come back for the final conflict. I know his Japanese VA died in 2010, which is probably why Even was written out as "unstable" in 3D. The thing is, Dilan was also unstable, but Yosuke Akimoto is still alive and working as far as I can find. I'd buy into the unstable thing more if David Dayan Fisher also said he wasn't in KH3, but no word from him yet.

The one thing I can think of that would result in Vexen's replacement would be Square deciding to honor Nachi Nozawa by recasting Even/Vexen with Paul Eiding, Professor Hojo's English VA. Thoughts?

I don't get it either. The only explaination I can think of is Nomura has no major role for him in KH3. If he does appear at all he likely won't have any dialogue.

They haven’t called.” It may have been someone else, but I’m pretty sure it was him. If so, I think Even and Dilan will still be incapacitated during KH3. People keep saying that... I think this story has stopped being about Ansem for a while now, so I don't really get why the apprentices should get more screentime (barring Braig for obvious reasons).
This final conflict is neither related to Ansem nor to the first Organization, a group that dialogues in DDD repeatedly called imperfect and unfit, so at least I'm perfectly fine if the remaining four apprentices never show up again.
(also because they really weren't interesting characters in the first place. Like, Dilan and Aeleus.)

Interesting. I'll try to find that. I would definitely buy Even and Dilan running away over napping.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Vexen is literally the creator of at least two characters, if not more (because I really wouldn't be surprised if we were sprung with new replicas in KH3). I've also seen theories of Xion being brought back not through the Power of Heart, like Roxas and Naminé probably will be, but by using the actual raw data Vexen created her from. I feel that Even's absence in KH3 is pretty major, especially considering that the Don't Think Twice trailer breathed new life into theories about Repliku returning.

Idk, doesn't really seems like how KH does business. When people need to be restored they just do, the series never spent time with intermediate passages.

About the wrap up... I don't think it would. Because Even is not a good person. He's a manipulative, sadistic man who brought life onto puppets only to abandon them and smiling while watching them suffer. And he betrayed his own master, too, helping relegating him into a dark abyss AND kept experimenting on innocents and making Radiant Garden fall to the Heartless all for the sake of the research. And if nothing new about him comes up, Ienzo has similar faults.
None of the two actually did anything to make amend, and so I'd actually be pretty pissed if in KH III they are suddenly good and benevolent people and all is forgiven. There was no redemption for them.

The "raw data" were Sora's memories of Kairi Xemnas stole (aka more magic ex machina involved), and those are back with him as is Xion.

I disagree a little there, seeing how everything since BBS is Sora trying to find a way to save everyone and how Sora and Roxas had to merge again. It would feel cheap in my opinion if Roxas could just materialize a body after releasing his heart from Sora - or anything like that. There has to be something else involved, even if it's just some magic, or else it goes right against what happened in KH2 with Roxas and Naminé.

With wrap up, I don't necessarily mean that they are to be good people in the end (for all we know, Even can still be a creepy dude, but he probably rather likes his job and would try to keep it), but it would just finish their story. I don't feel like their story is finished with a "Well he's unstable" and Ienzo's short appearance.

Though I understand where you come from with Even, I don't really see where Ienzo seems to be such a bad guy? If anything, I felt his short scene in DDD and his interactions with Lea showed that Ienzo might not be a crazy dude, certainly quickly excitable by his theories and probably science in general, but not generally malevolent (even though the Ansem reports might hint at that but that excursion is a little too much for this topic!). I just personally would like to see whether they pick up their old work in Radiant Garden, whether Dilan and Aeleus take up guard duty again, whether Ansem rules again (maybe together with the restoration committee) and whether Even and Ienzo continue new kind of research that is benefiting the world under Ansem the Wise.

Although we saw a lot of this footage last year at D23, this is our first look at the English voice acting. It’s worth noting that the actors who originally voiced these characters are mostly absent, such as Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear and Tom Hanks as Woody. That being said, the performances do justice to these characters and match up well with the original film’s voiceovers.

I've been telling y'all for months not to expect those voice actors! Though, Wallace Shawn and John Ratzenberger return
