Ok, this might be the case for some of you guys, it sure as hell is for me, maybe you guys just think certain people suck because you are too use to their Japanese VAs, just a thought, and some of you were complaining about the syncing, it's the first trailer people, the game comes out in like three months, that's plenty of time to fix it! And who knows, maybe they will fix Aqua's lines about the good luck charms in the finished game.

I agree. I don't really think it's as much the VAs sucking as the fact they just need getting used to. We're so used to hearing the Japanese seiyuus for the past year or so. I say we just give them a chance. A lot of people hated Jesse McCartney when he was first cast as Roxas, now it's difficult to picture anyone else as Roxas.

No, Terra hasn't been confirmed yet. IMDB still says it's Christian Bale (I still think it's Christian myself), but we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully we won't have to wait until the game to find out.

I don't accept the argument that Aqua's voice actor was bad in paopu scene because "it was in the beginning". Do you seriously think they dubbed the scenes in chronological order? And that they wouldn't re-dub it if the director didn't like it? It's director's fault that she is how she is there...

Edit: I like her there the most, it's actually the only scene where I like her apart from Cinderella and battle.

They don't necessarily dub scenes in chronological order, but who's to say that it wasn't one of the first ones she did? I wish people would quit hating on the English VAs and give them a break; we still seem to compare them to their Japanese VAs. It was 3 lines in a 4 minute trailer of a 45+ hour game. That and the trailer's editing wasn't that great to begin with, and for some reason they left out a good bit of the sound effects, which does have an effect on how we hear the lines.

I don't think he did, but a lot of people here apparently did too.


I think we should just reserve final judgment until the game is released.

I think Terra could have been better, but I really think it was the hollowness of the trailer that made the voices stand out so much and seem "bad".

MomentoMori, did you have an example of Terra compared to Christian Bale? I heard about it but I didn't see it.

the "help me understand master xehanort! what is it that i failed to learn?!" line really got to me and convinced me to not worry about terra any further

I agree. I'm perfectly content with all of the voices ^^ It took a few rewatches though, but I personally blame it on the fact that the trailer lacked all sound effects.

MomentoMori, did you have an example of Terra compared to Christian Bale? I heard about it but I didn't see it.

Youtube isn't loading for me right now (is it down or is my computer just retarded?) but if you go on Youtube and look up Christian Bale in the Newsies, you can compare Terra's voice to the overall sound (sans New York accent) of Christian's voice. They sound very similar, IMO. I think I may have posted a video earlier on in this thread, though.

For the Bale refs, you'll have to listen to the overall tone of his voice and not concentrate on his New York accent (though the thought of Terra with a New York accent amuses me).
