Name: Valerie "Val" Vincent
Code Name: Hypnos
Miracle/Average Citizen/Meta Human Criminal: She’s a Miracle.
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Personality: When her constant state of exhaustion isn't making her subdued, Valerie is quite the social butterfly. Cheerful, she does her best to make everyone around her feel accepted into her group of friends. Although, because of that, there's few people that truly know her. She's brilliant and charming, seeming to make friends easily wherever she goes. She can be a bit of a chatterbox, especially if she's comfortable around someone. Some people have compared her to a parakeet, in the sense that she's hyper, chatty and she's rather colorful in the way she physically expresses herself. She's not obnoxious, or most of the time, she just cares deeply for those that she gets close to. She can be extremely protective of them too. Most people are surprised to see her temper, since it rarely flares and her moments of shyness. What few realize is that Valerie is an introvert that's trying to masquerade as an extrovert, so she's left feeling even more exhausted at the end of busy day than one would think. She's rather gentle and she seems to have a mother type personality, something she'll deny because it gets her flustered.
What isn't seen usually is the festering bubble of pitch black anger, she's bitter from the lot she's been given in life. She can be incredibly cruel, striking out at someone's weak spot when she's pushed too far. She can be hotheaded, charging into a situation without thinking it through if someone she cares about is put in harm's way. She can bit rather curt in her answers, refusing to acknowledge the person that's pushed her to the point that her cheerful facade cracks. She can also be rather vengeful to those that have wronged her, coming up with several ways to get revenge on them for their transgressions. Some of her methods of payback far outweigh the crime, although she'll claim that she's "letting them off with a slap on the wrist". Needless to say, despite her usual cheerful attitude, Valerie is not someone that you want to anger.
Appearance: 5'3". Valerie is petite in terms of build, leading to her frequently being mistaken for a young girl. Her body has willowy curves, something that she's uncertain about. Her limbs are thin, and just long enough to seem natural on her figure; lending themselves to be perfect for dance or playing an instrument. She has long purple hair (that she dyed from blonde) that falls to her waist in a silky waterfall, her aquamarine eyes shine almost as if she's laughing at something constantly. Soft pink lips are full, they're constantly turned up in a smile showing just how cheerful Valerie can be. She wears a lavender tank top that exposes her shoulders. The skirt is a blue color, it fits closer by her hips, while still not being snug, only to flare outward the closer it gets to her knees, where it stops an inch or two below. Her shoes are a basic pair of sandals that are white in color, tying into the rest of the outfit. Her ears are pierced and she wears a pair of turquoise stud earrings that are in a heart shape. The last thing is a gold heart locket that has thin veins of emerald and amethyst woven throughout it. She keeps a picture of her family locked within, and she refuses to show it to anyone since she doesn't wish to expose her "heart" to a stranger.
Costume:
, she wears a wolf mask that is decorated with black and silver lines. Her boots are a purple color and they’re thigh-highs that extends past her knees.
Bio: Valerie had to work for her grades, after all she didn’t have her sister’s natural gift. One day a few years ago though, her older sister vanished and they haven’t been able to get into contact with her. Valerie remembers coming to Archville on an internship but beyond that she doesn’t know why she’s there. She’s hoping that maybe while she’s here she can find her sister, but in certain ways she’s not counting on it. She’s also sworn to remain in contact with three close family friends, but she’s honestly not sure if she can keep that promise based on the atmosphere of the town.
Everything else? N/A.
Other: In her origin story Valerie is the host for the Greek God of Sleep, Hypnos. Hypnos is also the twin brother of Thanatos, the personification of Death in Greek mythology. Also it seems as if because of her hectic sleeping patterns, Valerie's health has started to pay the price, mainly in the form of hallucinations.
Power:
Dream Magic Valerie is capable of creating and manipulating a person's dreams. It can be she creates a peaceful, relaxing dream or she creates a nightmare. She is capable of dream walking too, she's able to attack another person in their dreams and depending on how severe the injury is it'll transfer over to the waking world. She can use dreams to send a message to her allies too. She can manifest someone's dreams too, and when it comes into in dream based abilities, she's only limited by her imagination and her target's imagination since it's based on the dreamer's will on how a dream goes.
Sub-Power: Also as a side effect of her dream powers, she seems to have gained
control over emotions. She can suggest a certain feeling to someone and depending on how easily influenced they are, she can make a person feel an emotion she wants them to feel. She doesn't seem to be consciously aware of this power outside of the dreamscape, but it doesn't stop her from doing it. *will only be used on NPCs or certain player characters if their RPer is okay with it... which means Adam's getting attacked by it and hard*
Weapon: She prefers to avoid physical combat and instead use her powers to fight. Although when forced into combat she uses a cat-o-nine to inflict as much damage on her opponent as possible to get out of the fight as fast as possible. She also utilizes a pistol for long distance combat, and she's a good shot with it. So yeah, when she decides to use weapons, she goes for as much damage as possible.
Voice Actress:
Mollie Weaver *in the style of Renee Roberts, the girl with the purple hair*
Theme Song:
Innocence by Halestorm
You see it from the outside
You're running toward the wall
Swinging from your blind side
But you don't know me at all
I've been here too many times before
And your tears don't mean a thing
I only come when you scream, I told you
[CHORUS:]
Child, don't follow me home
You're just too perfect for my hands to hold
If you choose to stay, you'll throw it all away
And I just want to take your innocence
Is this what you wanted
Did I make your dreams come true?
You're sitting in a corner
Wondering what you got into
And you ache for things you don't understand
That your tears don't mean a thing
I only come when you scream, and I told you
[CHORUS]
There's no such thing as fate
Only yourself to blame you never walked away
[CHORUS]
Hidden Theme:
A Vampire's Lullaby *note, I know that's not the actual title of the song*

In the pugilistic world, who can articulate the difference between love and hate
In our mundane world, who can tell the difference between right and wrong
I would like to ask, in this world, who writes the scroll of ancient poetry
I would like to ask, in my dreams, who plucks the strings of the ancient zither
Watching the snow falling upon the distant mountain top
The snow falls, but my yearning for you turns into ashes
The snow cannot comprehend how beautiful the fallen flower is
Even after love fades like the wilting of a flower
Even after the fallen leaves pile up Even after yearning turns into tears
My sole purpose is to seek you I do not have any regard as to whether this is right or wrong
A lifetime of love, a lifetime of sadness,
Our partings and our times together
Is the lot in life that the Fates have scripted for you
In this life, even though I have regrets, I will not complain
Watching the snow falling upon the distant mountain top
The snow falls, but my yearning for you turns into ashes
The snow cannot comprehend how beautiful the fallen flower is
Even after love fades like the wilting of a flower
Even after the fallen leaves pile up
Even after yearning turns into tears
My sole purpose is to seek you
I do not care if I have to forgo reincarnation and thus end up as a wandering spirit
I have spent half my life drifting aimlessly and the other half getting drunk
Our partings and our times together
Is the lot in life that the Fates have scripted for you
In this life, even though I have regrets, I will not complain
My sole purpose is to seek you
I do not have any regard as to whether this is right or wrong
A lifetime of love, a lifetime of sadness,
The connection that we have and us cherishing each other
Is the lot in life that the Fates have scripted for you
Hand in hand, we lament how the years pass like flowing water
Battle Theme:
Wound Up by LeAnn Rimes
Little Carrie Ann what a beautiful girl
From the moment she was born
She was always perfect
Whole town said, why can't you be more like her?
Lights go on and she's ready to spin
On stage doing all the things she's told to
Puts on a show in front of the whole damn world
I pray to the heaven to try to save her soul
'Cause that sweet little angel is not the girl I know
She gets wound up
She gets higher by the minute
Turns the sound up
To drown out all the pain
They all think they know her
But no one really knows
That she goes a little crazy sometimes
Ooh, sometimes
She parks her car at the top of the hill
Only inches from the edge
Where shes almost falling
Stares at the sky till shes drowning in the rain
Nice dress, nice smile
What a wonderful child
If they only knew all the lies shes told them
It's too complicated for her to explain
She prays to the heaven to try to save her soul
'Cause the sweet little angel is close to letting go
She gets wound up
She gets higher by the minute
Turns the sound up
To drown out all the pain
They all think they know her
But no one really knows
That she goes a little crazy sometimes
She goes crazy sometimes (La la la la la la...)
I pray to the heaven to try to save her soul
'Cause that sweet little angel is close to letting go
She gets wound up
She gets higher by the minute
Turns the sound up
To drown out all the pain
They all think they know her
But no one really knows
That she goes a little crazy sometimes, sometimes
She goes crazy sometimes (La la la la la la...)
Oh, sometimes (La la la la la la...)
