I Posted this on the GameFAQs Message Board three days ago, but most people there have dismissed or otherwise seen my beliefs as nonsense, so I've created an Account on this Message Board to take a shot at convincing people of my beliefs here.

I'll quote from my Posts on the GameFAQs MessageBoard.

~~~
The Master of Masters/the Master is Yozora.
And his goal is to turn all of the realms of Sora's worldline, and perhaps all of the realms of all worldlines, and maybe Kingdom Hearts itself, into everlasting dreams, likely out of hate and anger not about *his* impending vanishing and death. It's likely out of hate and anger that *the girl who is the Nameless Star in The Final World* died and vanished.
Yozora likely created the first Keyblades so he could die and vanish himself and be with her.
And Yozora doesn't fear *his* impending death and vanishing. *He fears being unable to love and protect and cherish and save the Nameless Star from her death and vanishing.* Yozora vanishes at the beginning of KINGDOM HEARTS: CHI: BACK COVER. He's already gone.
His goal is, since he believes that he can't restore the Nameless Star unto reality, to turn all existence into an everlasting dream and send the Nameless Star *there,* thus loving and cherishing and protecting and saving her.
Think about it.
When we first meet the Master of Masters, he's introduced as the creator of the Dream Eaters.
When we first see the character with the name Yozora, it's in a Video Game - a fantasy and science fiction fictional story - in a world where toys - who are supposed to be empty puppets and empty things like Xion was supposed to be - have hearts. Yet even *toys* are treating Yozora as a toy and a fantasy.
Rex keeps talking about needing to defeat Bahamut with Yozora, and a number of you know Bahamut's role in FINAL FANTASY X - why can't I get the Spoiler Tags working? Blarg.
Yozora is the ultimate fantasy, the final fantasy, the everlasting dream, and the ultimate dream.
In KINGDOM HEARTS III: RE MIND Yozora transforms The Final World itself, that there's supposedly 'nothing else beyond' into a fractured mirror of a fragmented reflection of Sora's Station of Awakening.
In RE MIND's ultimate super Boss battle with Yozora, he can steal Sora's Keyblade, which means Yozora is a Keyblade wielder, and when he does, even if Sora is using a different Keyblade, it transforms into the Ultima Weapon. Or perhaps a different, empyrean Keyblade of pure energy and light known as the Omega Weapon.
Yozora is the absolute Keyblade Master.
Lastly, both endings of the Secret Episode of RE MIND feature the phrase, 'Like, I've been having these weird thoughts lately. I wonder if any of this is real or not.' thought by Sora at the beginning of the first KINGDOM HEARTS Game.
***
Because, at the time Yozora 'ended up in this place by accident, went through a bunch of trials, and then was told to 'save Sora,' his original heart had been replaced by another's and the Master's original heart had ended up as Vanitas inside Ventus. Recall that, before the RE MIND version of the battle with Vanitas and Terra-Xehanort, Vanitas reveals that the darkness that he is isn't Ventus' darkness but was placed inside Ventus' heart from outside of Ventus' heart.
Vanitas is the Master's original heart, with his memories gone, and in the form of a boy who resembles Sora. Recall Vanitas' personality. The words "Venty-Wenty," for example. Vanitas has a similar personality to the Master's.
When Yozora tells Sora that he's Yozora, he also says 'this isn't what I really look like.' Yozora's true form is an adult version of Vanitas.
Why was the Master around to talk to Xehanort? Because Xehanort was Yozora/Vanitas' latest pawn for turning all existence into an everlasting dream. Yozora doesn't care about vanishing himself, he cares about protecting his lost love from having vanished. So Yozora manipulated Xehanort as his latest puppet to fall to darkness as the next stage in his plan for accomplishing transfiguring all existence into an everlasting dream and protecting and saving her.
Yozora manipulated his original apprentices as well. At first he attempted to convince Ira - or 'Anger' - to obey the Books of Prophecies - which don't tell the future as it is destined to unfold, they *tell the future that Yozora wants to unfold* - so the Keyblade War would happen, but when Ira refused to, Yozora pretended to accept Ira's wishes to protect the realm of light while actually manipulating his apprentices, Ira, Invi - 'Insincerity,' Aced - 'Betrayal' or 'Bitterness' or 'Acid,' Gula - or 'Guile' or 'Manipulation' or 'Deceit,' Luxu - maybe 'Loss of Light,' I'm not sure of this one yet, and Ava - or 'Eve' or 'Holy Mother' or 'Earth Mother' - to turn them against each other and to cause them to increasingly lose faith in everything save the roles Yozora had assigned them so Yozora could thus ensure the Keyblade War happened that way. - Though Yozora didn't need to cause Luxu to lose faith in everything but his role because Luxu is Yozora's 'teacher's pet,' so Luxu already believed in Yozora so much that Yozora didn't need to manipulate him as much. And Yozora failed to fully cause Ava to lose faith in everything but her role because of the love she shares with Ephemer. -
Recall how Luxu/Braig/Xigbar gets upset with Xion looking at him like Ventus 'glaring as though Luxu/Braig/Xigbar has killed her/his dog.' Luxu says those lines like he's taking it *personally.* Luxu/Braig/Xigbar is Yozora's 'teacher's pet,' so Luxu doesn't want Ventus, and thus Vanitas, looking at him as though Yozora/Vanitas is upset with the *dog Luxu.*
***
The Dark Inferno, the original optional super Boss of KINGDOM HEARTS III, has the name 'Dark Inferno Chi' when Sora battles the Dark Inferno who is Ven's darkness that Vanitas originated from, both Dark Infernos wield a weapon in each hand as Yozora does, and Yozora is the hardest optional super Boss of KINGDOM HEARTS III: RE MIND. And it's a KINGDOM HEARTS tradition that the hardest optional super Boss of a previous major KINGDOM HEARTS Game is the central antagonist, or, at least, the Final Boss of the next major KINGDOM HEARTS Game. Unknown in KINGDOM HEARTS: FINAL MIX is Xemnas, the central antagonist of KINGDOM HEARTS II. The Lingering Sentiment in KINGDOM HEARTS II: FINAL MIX PLUS is Terra-Xehanort, the Final Boss of KINGDOM HEARTS: BIRTH BY SLEEP. The Mysterious Figure and the No Name Heartless are; Young Xehanort, the second-to-last - and arguably the real - Final Boss of KINGDOM HEARTS 3D: DREAM DROP DISTANCE; and Xehanort in his original body's original Keyblade Armor, and Xehanort is the central antagonist and the Final Boss of the entire KINGDOM HEARTS Dark Seeker Saga and of KINGDOM HEARTS III, while Xehanort's new Keyblade Armor is the Final Boss of KINGDOM HEARTS III: RE MIND proper.
***
There's evidence from all over the place in the KINGDOM HEARTS series.
Such as that the Master created the Dream Eaters, Ventus is the character connected the closest to the title 'BIRTH BY SLEEP,' Maleficent originates from the Disney movie 'SLEEPING' BEAUTY and seeks the Books of Prophecies and Luxu's black box, Young Xehanort told Sora vanishing, as the Master and Sora both did, is similar to falling to the bottom of the abyss of dreams, Yozora's weapon other than his Keyblade/sword - which might be the Omega Weapon, not the Ultima Weapon is an arrowgun - which is Luxu's primary weapon when he's not wielding No Name - the military subordinate who talks to Yozora in the car has his hair cut in a similar fashion to Luxu/Braig/Xigbar, Ventus' Keyblade Armor protected Sora from darkness in a dream world and turned into a Nightmare when doing so but it didn't protect Sora from turning into a Heartless through using the Keyblade of Hearts in Radiant Garden, and more.
There's another issue. Jiminy's Journal Profile reveals that Demon Towers and Demon Tides aren't usually seen in the realm of light, and it strongly implies or all but states that their presence is a harbinger of things to come.
Xehanort and the Real Organization weren't behind the Demon Towers.
The *Princesses of Heart* were, though Yozora/Vanitas or Luxu/Braig/Xigbar or one or more of the other Foretellers may have created them by forcibly extracting darkness from the hearts of the Princesses of Heart.
Look at where you encounter them, save for the KINGDOM HEARTS III Clear Game Battle Portal in Monstropolis that isn't as canon to the main story, though it's still connected to Vanitas, who was present in Monstropolis:
The Castle of Dreams after it fell to darkness. The Dwarf Woodlands after they fell to darkness. The edges of the Enchanted Dominion after it fell to darkness.
The presence of the huge sphere of darkness in the Forest of Thorns that the Darksides were feeding more darkness to - and the presence of so many Darksides in the Forest of Thorns in the first place - is also suspect. It might have birthed a particularly deadly Demon Tower had the Darksides completed finishing it.
Not a Demon Tide.
The only Princess of Heart who can birth a Demon Tide is Kairi.
Perhaps because she likely has Ava's heart stuck inside her as Ventus' heart was once stuck inside Sora's, and is therefore also a Keyblade wielder, and hasn't passed on her power like the other Seven Hearts.
The three Demon Tides all appear in places connected to Kairi.
The Destiny Islands play islands beach where Kairi spent much of her life growing up with Sora and Riku, the Door to Darkness where she is about to appear to say goodbye to Sora, Twilight Town where Xion and Namine spent a lot of their time - And this Demon Tide retreated without putting up much of a fight and its appearance was preceded by the words, 'We have come for you, my liege.' The Dusks had just been defeated. That wasn't the Nobodies talking to Roxas. That was the Demon Tide talking to Vanitas or Ventus, who is Yozora, or to Sora because of his connection to Kairi.
And, most tellingly, the Keyblade Graveyard after Kairi felt Sora's pain in her heart after Terra-Xehanort did a number on the guardians of light, Goofy, and Donald.
***
However, even if Cinderella, Snow White, and Aurora didn't create the Demon Towers and/or the huge energy sphere in Enchanted Dominion after it fell to darkness, Kairi likely *did* create the two Demon Towers that you battle in KINGDOM HEARTS III.
They show up in the Dark Margin, where her letter arrived in KINGDOM HEARTS II and enabled Sora to open his Door to Light.
They weren't Demon Tides because, unlike in A FRAGMENTARY PASSAGE, the Door to Darkness is now closed, so Kairi can't influence the realm of darkness as much as she could during the time frame of KINGDOM HEARTS.
***
And there's a lesser chance that Kairi created the Demon Towers, since she was right there with Riku and saw and heard his pain when he discovered Aqua had sacrificed herself for him, so she had plenty of motive to want to prevent Riku from meeting with Aqua and Aqua potentially causing Riku more pain; or Mickey from burdening Riku with more revelations like what he'd told Riku that had hurt him so badly, more responsibilities, and thus more pain.
***
The first Demon Tide we see emerges from the *Secret Place* when the Destiny Islands have fallen into darkness, the most important place on the play island to Kairi, where the Keyblade of Darkness that Mickey seeks, a golden spun shattered glass reflection of Sora's Kingdom Key, is hovering. The second Demon Tide explicitly goes after *Riku* at the Door to Darkness, who has recently fallen to darkness and cost Sora his heart right in front of Kairi in spite of her efforts to prevent it from happening. The third Demon Tide, the one in Twilight Town, goes after *Pence, Olette, and Hayner* shortly after Sora begins talking about feeling Roxas' pain - meaning, if Olette, Pence, and Hayner meet up with Sora, due to their ties to Roxas, Sora will go through even more pain. The fourth Demon Tide, the gigantic one, doesn't appear to have a specific goal, but since it's - supposedly - a Heartless, it's reasonable to believe it was just attacking the hearts of light nearby like the other Demon Tides do, and that Kairi likely created it to curb stomp Xehanort and the rest of the Real Organization Thirteen. That Demon Tide is also reborn at the size of a regular Demon Tide when Sora reverses space-time and is more confident, but once Sora defeats it in its regular size and he begins to be terrified that this won't be enough and he loses confidence, it re-assumes its original gigantic size.
That Namine was able to create a Data Sora Heartless not just deadly enough to wipe out the entire Jiminy's Journal datascape by itself once it had evolved enough, but also deadly enough to break out of the datascape and pose a serious threat to reality's realm of light, also merits paying attention to.
***
*She,* perhaps with Yozora's and/or Luxu's and/or one or more of the other Foretellers' assistance, created the gigantic Demon Tide that it took reversing space-time and hundreds or thousands or tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands or more Keyblade wielders to defeat.
And maybe the Lich too.
This is also why she alone of the guardians of light wasn't consumed by the darkness, though another reason might have been that Ephemer protected her then to protect Ava. He assisted Sora at the Keyblade Graveyard to defeat the gigantic Demon Tide to protect Ava.
Yozora manipulated Xehanort to fall to darkness specifically so Kairi would create the gigantic Demon Tide and then Xehanort would murder Kairi, all of these things causing Sora to abuse the power of waking, break the laws of nature, and die and vanish.
The role that Yozora assigned Xehanort was to turn Kairi into Sora's murderer.
And the temporary murderer of Riku and Goofy and Donald and Mickey and Kairi's other loved ones and friends as well.
As the first MELODY OF MEMORIES Trailer reveals, Kairi's memories and melodies hold the central key to Yozora's plan. He might even have been the reason Kairi ended up at Destiny Islands. He indirectly or directly sent her there so that she'd meet Sora and Riku and grow up with them.
[T]he brightest light casts the darkest shadow.
The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes.
Kairi will become Yozora's ultimate weapon to transfigure all existence into an everlasting dream.
***
For that matter, Rex playing VERUM REX is reminiscent of the opening of TOY STORY 2. The phrase 'to infinity and beyond' is thus connected to Yozora.
Good, I just got a response on the GameFAQs Message Board by someone who is treating my beliefs seriously.
I myself don't buy into the Master being Sora. There's no evidence of that, save for similarities in both having optimistic personalities. But even if the Master is Sora, that doesn't mean Sora and Kairi won't stay connected, or re-establish their connection if they lose it. See Riku temporarily falling into darkness. If Sora does, he can regain his light. The brightest light dwells in the deepest darkness, remember.
And the deepest darkness surrounds the brightest light. That's how Kairi creates the Demon Tides. Princesses of Heart have the purest lights around, and 'the closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes,' so Kairi possesses an incredible amount of darkness and she possesses an incredible amount of light.
Kairi doesn't create the Demon Tides, Xehanort does by summoning such a high number of shadow heartless.
Also as a Princess of Heart Kairi possesses zero darkness according to the series lore, though her light will draw darkness to her I suppose. If anything the quote implies that her light will cast great shadows for those around her. Kind of like Riku's jealousy and possessiveness in KH1.
Xehanort and the Real Organization Thirteen - save for perhaps Luxu/Braig/Xigbar - didn't create the Demon Tides or the Lich. Xemnas tells Xion once in the original KINGDOM HEARTS III and Lea and Kairi in RE MIND that Xehanort requires the hearts of the guardians of light to re-forge the Kye-Blade if he can't foment the Second Keyblade War itself. Before Terra-Xehanort beats the stuffing out of Ventus and Lea and Donald exhausts himself Terra-Xehanort says that the guardians will be 'torn heart from body,' and after Ven and Lea and Donald are unconscious Riku tells Sora that the three of them still have their hearts.
Then the gigantic Demon Tide and the Lich take the hearts of everyone but Sora and Kairi herself, which is precisely what Xehanort and the Real Organization Thirteen - save for perhaps Luxu - *didn't* want.
So Xehanort and the Real Organization Thirteen, with the possible exception of Luxu, could *not* have called the Demon Tide and the Lich. Someone *else* must have, and the Demon Towers in A FRAGMENTARY PASSAGE all appear in places connected to the Princesses of Heart and the Demon Tides all appear in places connected to Kairi - and the second Demon Tide in A FRAGMENTARY PASSAGE even specifically goes after *Riku,* who has recently caused Sora *a lot* of pain and caused him to cascade into particles of light and lose his heart right in front of Kairi regardless of her efforts to prevent it. The sole Demon Tower that doesn't appear in a place connected to a Princess of Heart is the one in the Battle Portal of Monstropolis, and that one is Clear Game solely and arguably non-canon.
The sole source in the KINGDOM HEARTS series that says the Princesses of Heart possess no darkness whatsoever is Ansem the Wise/DiZ/Darkness in Zero in his Secret Ansem Reports in KINGDOM HEARTS II, and he was blinded by revenge when he wrote most or all of those, so he might have been putting the Princesses of Heart on a pedestal as he was dropping Nobodies into pits. All other sources just say that the Princesses of Hearts' lights are the purest ones around, and a number of these other sources even explicitly compare the Princesses of Hearts' lights to Ven's and Sora's and Riku's and Aqua's pure lights, and we know that *they* possess darkness.
Lastly, 'the closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes' refers to a person's heart as well as a person's ability to draw darkness or cast shadows around himself/herself. See Namine's words to Riku about how Riku needs to conquer his darkness by looking into it to the brightest light within the darkness, or Sora's words to Kairi about how he felt when he was a Heartless before she restored him. Hikari, and 'the true light dwells in the deepest darkness,' and 'the brighter your light, the darker your shadow' refer to how a person's heart functions.
Kairi probably didn't become a Heartless when she lost her heart in KINGDOM HEARTS not because she possesses no darkness at all, but because she already possesses so much darkness that transfiguring into a Heartless would be a *major step down.*
Though I *really* like the 'draw darkness and/or cast great shadows' concept. Thanks a *lot* for bringing that up. I hadn't thought of that, or at least not in those ways. :)
FINAL FANTASY XII
I've been talking about this with a friend named Piccolo Sky and elsewhere, and I retrieved a number of pictures from KINGDOM HEARTS III and KINGDOM HEARTS III: RE MIND that prove that Kairi possesses darkness.
Additionally, Kairi's one-winged angel One Heart dual tech with Sora in RE MIND is a specific reference to the Square ENiX Role-Playing Game XENOGEARS.
*Warning for XENOGEARS Spoilers*
In XENOGEARS, there's a religion that teaches as one of its central tenets that God created humans imperfect, because if He hadn't they wouldn't have learned to live by helping one another. There are two large statues that hover side by side in the central cathedral of this religion, one female on the left, one male on the right, one angelic wing extending from the female's right shoulder, one angelic wing extending from the male's left shoulder. This is, according to the religion, meant to represent that since the two angels are imperfect, they need each other in order to fly.
In One Heart, Kairi is on the left with one angelic wing extending from her right shoulder, and Sora is on the right with one angelic wing extending from his left shoulder. And in the scene where they return to The Final World after defeating Xehanort's damaged Keyblade Armor and they hover down to the watery surface below, *they briefly take the precise same hand-holding pose as the two one-winged angel statues from XENOGEARS.* I haven't been able to tell yet if Kairi and Sora take that pose at any time during the One Heart dual technique itself - though I sure as heck intend to find out sooner or later, maybe even today - but that they do take the precise same pose as the one-winged angel statues in the ending afterwards makes it undeniable that the One Heart one-winged angel dual tech is a reference to XENOGEARS, and to the 'people are flawed and imperfect with weaknesses and insecurities and they thus need each other in order to fly' concept of this religion within XENOGEARS.
That means that Kairi and Sora are *both* flawed and with darkness, not just Sora.
*End Spoilers*
I'll Post the pictures in the following Messages.
Here are the pictures.
~~~

The first picture is from the scene in the regular KINGDOM HEARTS III where Terra-Xehanort does a number on the group, so you know the context of this one.

Here's evidence that Kairi possesses darkness because she glares at Terra-Xehanort with undiluted hatred. The glare can be clearly seen as undeniable proof on a television screen that is large enough, but it doesn't appear as well in the picture below, so I'm calling this picture 'evidence' and not 'proof.'

~*~*~*~

<img src="
mail
">

~*~*~*~

The segment itself can be seen on YouTube in the KINGDOM HEARTS III movie KINGDOM HEARTS 3 - All Cutscenes Full Movie High Definition from 7:53:34 to 7:53:38.

~~~
Here's the Kairi pictures from KINGDOM HEARTS III: RE MIND that are unarguable proof, and arguable evidence, that Kairi possesses darkness.
Kairi reacting to Isa/Saix saying that Lea and the other guardians must have been desperate to apply her, one of the New Seven Hearts, as a guardian of light.
Kairi arguably looks not just angry, but hateful here, too, though perhaps not as much as in a clear television screen shot of Kairi glaring at Terra-Xehanort with undiluted hatred.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
This segment can also be seen in the YouTube KINGDOM HEARTS III: RE MIND movie KINGDOM HEARTS 3 REMIND Downloadable Content - Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1 FULL GAME from 1:32:24 to 1:32:37.
First, I'm not arguing that Kairi just feels regular negative emotion anger. I'm arguing that she additionally feels *vengeful anger* and *hateful anger,* which are darkness.
My first two pictures proving and giving evidence that Kairi possesses darkness will address this.
This is regular negative emotion anger.
Roxas is angry that, after Xemnas has thrown Sora to the ground and Isa/Saix has locked Lea/Axel in a claymore/Keyblade clash, Roxas can't break through Xemnas' single Ethereal Blade block with Roxas' Oblivion.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
This is hateful anger and darkness.
Sora hates Xemnas and is extremely angry with Xemnas for imprisoning Kairi in a sphere of dark thorns.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
Do you see the large difference?
Xemnas blocks Sora with one single Ethereal Blade and throws him away.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
Xemnas blocks Xion's Kingdom Key with one single Ethereal Blade while simultaneously blocking Roxas' Oblivion - not Roxas' Oathkeeper as well, I was wrong about this - with his other Ethereal Blade, then Xemnas boosts his abilities with darkness - he does this now, not afterwards, I was wrong about this as well - and throws Xion and Roxas away.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
Kairi versus Xemnas.
This begins right after Xemnas throws Xion and Roxas away.
Kairi jumps at Xemnas and swings Destiny's Embrace with an angry, perhaps even hateful, glare that is perhaps even a snarl.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
Xemnas blocks Kairi with both Ethereal Blades, but Kairi overpowers Xemnas' block with Destiny's Embrace so effectively she almost his Xemnas when he staggers back.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
Kairi gives Xemnas another angry glare that is almost certainly another glare of undiluted hatred and that is definitely a snarl this time.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
Kairi repeatedly sends Xemnas staggering back at a disadvantage and on the defensive even though Xemnas is attempting to defend himself with both Ethereal Blades.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
In the last picture, it's also very attention-grabbing that Kairi is so letting herself be ruled by emotion that she's briefly closing her eyes while in the middle of a combat situation.
When Xemnas snares Sora in the sphere of thorny darkness, Kairi portrays facial expressions and body language that are *unmistakably* undiluted hatred.
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
<img src="
mail
">
~*~*~*~
And this isn't even just Kairi's undiluted hatred for Xemnas and for Kairi herself. Kairi is in *unimaginably incomprehensible despair* at her helplessness and powerlessness to keep Sora from pain and suffering.
The entire Kairi versus Xemnas sequence can be viewed in full on the YouTube video KINGDOM HEARTS 3 REMIND Downloadable Content - Gameplay Walkthrough Part 1 FULL GAME from 1:45:05 to 1:46:33.
"What do you hope to accomplish? Do not deny it. The final darkness is now."-Xehanort's Heartless/Ansem, using Dark Shadow
KINGDOM HEARTS
This discussion about dreams and darkness causes me to want to ask.
Has anyone caught any CHRONO TRIGGER/CHRONO CROSS references in KINGDOM HEARTS other than the potential CHRONO series references below?
*CHRONO TRIGGER/CHRONO CROSS/FINAL FANTASY VII/The Compilation Of FINAL FANTASY VII/FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Spoilers*
The name 'Dream Eaters' may be a reference to the Dream Devourer/Devourer of Time, the optional Final Boss super Boss of the Nintendo Double Screen version of CHRONO TRIGGER and the Final Boss of CHRONO CROSS who feasts upon dreams, thoughts, and memories and whose goal is to devour all the life and all the dimensions and universes of all of space and time that were initially born from Zurvan, the Sea of Dreams. The name 'Spirits' may be a combined reference to CHRONO TRIGGER/CHRONO CROSS' and FINAL FANTASY VII/The Compilation of FINAL FANTASY VII's concepts of Dreamstone and how all life and time is born of the planet's dream and is destined to return there; and the name 'Nightmares' may be a reference to CHRONO TRIGGER/CHRONO CROSS' Lavos, Lavos' Black Omen/Black Dream, Masa, Mune, Doreen, the Grand Dream/Mastermune Triple Tech, the Frozen Flame, the Dragon God/Dragon Gods/the Dark Moon Dragon, FATE/Lynx, the Dreamstone dagger/the Masamune/the Mastermune/the Grand Leon/Grand Dream, the Einlanzers, Jenova, Sephiroth, the Remnants of Sephiroth, the Tsviets, Genesis, and Angeal.
That Nomura chose DREAM DROP DISTANCE to introduce time travel into KINGDOM HEARTS might be partially a CHRONO TRIGGER/CHRONO CROSS reference as well, since the Time Gates/Gates, Black Omen/Black Dream, the green Gates/the Dimensional Vortices/the second destination of the Day of Lavos Gate at the End of Time in the Double Screen Version of CHRONO TRIGGER, the dimensional portals, the Time Crash, the planet pulling Dinopolis out of another parallel timeline, Terra Tower/Star Tower, and the Dragon God/Dragon Gods/the Dark Moon Dragon are all dreams and nightmares born of Lavos, the planet, and the Dream Devourer/Devourer of Time.
And the Dream Eaters/Spirits/Nightmares and time travel might now be a FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE reference as well since Jenova's pre-Birth form in the first volume of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, Jenova Dreamweaver, is a clear reference to how all life is born from the planet's, if not the cosmos', dreams; and the Whispers originating from a confluence of all the threads of the planet's, if not the cosmos', space and time in the future in the first volume of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE - and perhaps the portion of the ending where it's strongly implied that defeating the Whispers in Cloud's home timeline enabled Zack to survive in a parallel timeline - are clear references to time travel.
If Jenova ends up being revealed, in FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, to be a parasite who lives and reproduces the same way Lavos does in CHRONO TRIGGER/CHRONO CROSS, I'm going to *love* that. Since, in 1997, my close friend Nanaki began a Fanfiction series crossing over, among other stories, CHRONO TRIGGER and FINAL FANTASY VII and making Lavos and Jenova *members of the precise same species, Lavoids.*
In his Fanfiction canon, that I joined myself in 1997 or 1998, I can't remember when; Lavos is a Class C Lavoid who feeds on planets - the lowest class of Lavoid before Nanaki gave me permission to write in his canon and I added Class Ds through Class Fs, Class Fs being the true lowest possible class that feeds on asteroids, comets, meteors, and meteorites - Jenova is a Class A Lavoid of the highest class of Lavoids save for the six - that I increased to eight - Lavoid Queens and the Lavoid Queen Mother, Pyriorias - that's not Nanaki's name for the Lavoid Queen Mother or my name for her, another writer who joined Nanaki's canon developed it - who was sailing the stars to the star that FINAL FANTASY VII's planet revolves around as a young Lavoid Spawn before a Cetra colony spaceship intercepted it and attempted to murder Jenova merely for wishing to survive and grow and reproduce, and Jenova barely escaped with her life with her Lavoid shell broken and fell to the FINAL FANTASY VII planet.
This reminds me of something I've been forgetting to say and do for years. I need to ask Nanaki if the Nightmare Rock weapon Lavos' Class B spawn Levasos uses in one of his CHRONO TRIGGER cross-over Fanfictions, TEMPO TRIGGER, on Janus/Magus, is supposed to be corrupted Dreamstone.
Do any of you, as I do, believe that the Dream Eaters/Spirits/Nightmares, and perhaps the introduction of time travel in DREAM DROP DISTANCE, are CHRONO series references?
As well as perhaps Young Xehanort first appearing as an optional super Boss in KINGDOM HEARTS: BIRTH BY *SLEEP = dreams?*
Nomura *really* needs to introduce Dreamstone into KINGDOM HEARTS.
*End Spoilers*
It's good that I'm getting responses. :)
I'll Post more of my beliefs and theories later. :)
The echo of the remaining star cries out in the infinite vacuum
Setting sail on dreams"
