The many faces of Xehanort

So, I've been seeing a ton of theories/discussions/etc. on the different forms of Xehanort. One that recently caught my attention was a theory stating that if Terra comes back, he might look just like Xemnas but with the brown hair and blue eyes.

However, I'm one of the few that really doesn't see Xemnas as just being an older version of Terra. Yes, he resembles Terra by a great deal, but I highly doubt his physical form was influenced purely on Terra without anything from Xehanort's part. After all, Terra is an adult in Birth by Sleep, so the idea that his body would change that much just because of age is pretty far-fetched to me.

Since I have created 3D models of each form of Xehanort for my KH3D animation I made in July, I decided to start a free trial on this morphing software I discovered, and started morphing Terra and Master Xehanort in different ways to try and see what results I'd get.

For the heck of it, my first morph was to see the transition of Master Xehanort from his early years down to his elderly years. If anyone was having trouble believing that YX from KH3D looked like the older dude, I think this video will help you notice that resemblance.

Now I believe this morph is important when discussing how Xemnas and AnsemSoD look like they do. Mainly because I strongly believe that both the Heartless and the Nobody's physical forms were influenced by BOTH Terra and Master Xehanort.

I've heard this everywhere. A lot of people seem to believe that AnsemSoD looks just like Master Xehanort if he was in his 30s or so. But if we go back to how Young Xehanort looked, it doesn't seem that is the case.

So here, we can see Terra's appearance morphing into AnsemSoD. Obviously the two don't look exactly the same, but in this morph I believe there is still a similarity in there that MX to Ansem just don't have. Also, as many have pointed out, they slightly changed Ansem's face in KH3D and now for the upcoming KH1.5 HD Remix. At about 3 and a half to 4 seconds of this video, you can see that it looks more like what Ansem's current face in the games look like. I believe they made this change to show that Terra's physical appearance was influenced into this, not just Xehanort's.

Now of course, the big thing that people keep saying is that Xemnas' appearance is purely on an older Terra. And while this morph may point evidence towards that possibility, I don't think it's the case. I do believe that Xehanort had to have been involved for several reasons. One being that Terra is in his mid 20s in Birth by Sleep. Once you reach that age, unless you do something to make you gain or lose a ton of weight, you pretty much look the same but with more wrinkles. I'll look at photos of my grandfather when he was in his 30s and he really does not look much different later on (asides from having hair and less wrinkles) With Terra, I can see a bit of age progression to the point where he'd look like this video paused at 2 seconds but that's it.

The result of this morph was quite interesting. It was just as smooth as the Terra-Xemnas morph, and I can totally see how Xehanort can go backwards in age progression about 40 years. To the point where if MX was in his mid 30s, it would look similar to how the morph looks at 3 seconds. And it's enough to where you can see that making him look a lot younger would result in the Young Xehanort we see in KH3D.
Between these two morphs, though I think it's obvious Terra's appearance was more influential, I can definitely see that Xemnas's appearance is a mixture of Terra's and Xehanort's, much like the Heartless Ansem was.

Granted these aren't the exact replicas of the in-game models. I did make these myself. But I recently downloaded the KH2FM and BBS models to make sure they matched up okay, and they did. So I think it's safe to say that this is fairly accurate.

lol okay. I just saw a bunch of posts pretty much saying "Xemnas is just an older version of Terra" and I remember older threads when I was more active being exactly the same. Oh well. Glad to know I'm not a minority then.
