Ok I think I have a pretty clear idea of how the Kingdom Hearts universe it layed out, let me know what you think:

I first assume Nomura has a tough time deciding between the words realm and world, so I took some of his quotes and edited just a little, but this will be noted with a [] if I did. I didn’t often though.

“Normal worlds are attached to a Realm of Light. If all of these exist at the same level and you imagine them all sitting on top of a plane, there is also plane of existence on the other side where the Realm of Darkness exists.”

OK, and normal worlds are like Tarzana and Beast, Disney Worlds you know. And “same level” means like “the World is Flat”,

“You can imagine two planes with stairs ranging between the worlds. There are two means of transfer between these worlds, first being the Gummi Ship Sora uses in what is called the ‘Sea of Outer Space’.”

The Sea is what Nomura calls just an Outer Space, the area the Gummi Ship moves around in, so that’s pretty much everything except for the worlds.

“What can be called the Dark Coastline seen at the beginning and end of KHII is the tip of a [realm].”

So this is classic “The World is flat” mentality.

“[The Dark Coastline] is not strictly part of the Realm of Darkness but rather what serves as the boundary line in between the dark and the inbetween.” …“In the ending, Sora and Riku were on the coast on the in-between side and were looking at the Sea of the Realm of Darkness.”

Once again, “The World is flat”. And there is an in-between between the Dark and Light realms.

“Constructed in this manner, [Realm of] Light < [Yen Cid’s Tower] < [Twilight Town] > [Castle Oblivion] > [The World That Never Was] > [Realm of] Darkness, you can imagine two planes with stairs ranging between the worlds.”

This is an order of in-between worlds situated between the Dark and Light Realms, with stairs. I think this has something to do with the crossroads but I haven’t figured it out yet.

Here is what I have gathered in picture form:

Look at it and see if you might agree.

Also, as for the crossroads, I think it may lie somewhere in the In-between Realm, maybe.

DiZ called one side of the In-Between Nightfall, Riku called the other Dawn. Just FYI.

I am not denying that I may be where I think that
i have an easier way to say it and a little bit extra: think of it like a sandwich, there is a fresh piece of bread(realm of light) on one side, some good fresh cheese(dawn)right under that, some slightly aged cheese(inbetween)under that, some bad cheese(nightfall)under that, and then some really moldy bread(realm of darkness)under that. kind of a cheesy description(no pun intended)but that works. finally the extra: could destiny island be the dawn side of inbetween and then where sora and riku were at the end of kh2 be the night fall side? then twighlight town and kh2 secret ending location would be inbetween?

^That's a terrible analogy. For one, there' s only in-between(twilight), there is no dawn or dusk outside of it.(two parts of the same coin kind of thing,no matter what side, dusk or dawn, you still get twilight)

Another thing, nomura said that there is no distinction between good or evil when it comes to darkness and light, hence why mickey, who is wields a keyblade of darkness, can fight with sora, who wields a keyblade of light. An even better example is riku, he uses the darkness for fight the darkness, but he also uses light to fight light. He can use both equally, and he isn't an evil character.

^Sorry, but that was terrible. You should have done something like this:

It's like you make a sandwich with a slice of white bread, and then you get some cheese inbetween them, then you on the other closing side, you put rye.

Good qeustion. Where would KH lie in that pic?
That reminds me. The Kingdom Hearts from KH 1 was in darkness wasn't it? So maybe that one was on that bottom dark part of the grid.

The Kingdom Hearts in KH2 was in TWTNW so it would be in the middle of that pic, but close to the darkside.

Where the next KH would go, I geuss, would be on top wouldn't it?
