What kinds of magic would SDG have in the next game, and how would they work?
Remember Aero? It didn't attack anyone, it acted as a sheild; much like Protect in other Final Fantasy games.
I'm thinking...
Protect
Shell
Water
Flare
Regen
Poison
Drain
Osmose
(Thank goodness THESE won't be needed)
Life
Auto-Life (though, it might be good on the protangonist or something)

as for some ones they already had...
Fire
Blizzard
Thunder
Cure
Reflect
Aero (this time as an attack)

What do you think?
EDIT: Sorry if this has already been disscussed

*Bump for more recognition*

After playing a few good ol' FF games, these spells should undoubtedly make an appearance sooner or later in KH. The following are

Life
Also called Raise, revives a KOed party member.
  • Example of use: Whoever played Crisis Core would know how it works.

Regen
Sometimes classified as a Time/Space spell, Regen restores HP over a period of time.
  • Example of use: Think Tinkerbell from the first KH. ^_^

Flare
This spell usually deals non-elemental damage to an opponent
  • Example of use: Similar to Riku's Dark Firaga. It deals a good amount of damage on contact.

Ultima
This spell usually deals non-elemental barrier piercing damage to all opponents.
  • Example of use: Similar to Trinity Limit in the first KH. It deals a good amount of damage on mutiple enemies on contact.

Haste
Haste speeds up an action of a character, allowing it to take more actions.

  • Example of use: It functions like Valor Form, in a way.

Comet/Meteor
These spells generally deal random, gravity-based damage on their targets, with Comet being single hit and Meteor dealing multiple hits.

  • Example of use: Similar to Zexion's meteor attack in KH2FM+

(*)Spellblade
Also known as Sword Magic or Magic Sword. It allows characters to cast spells to their swords in order to give physical attacks elemental, status, and other properties.

  • Example of use: Attach Firaga to your keyblade to deal fire based attacks, Thundaga to use thunder based attacks (can paralyze enemies for a short amount of time), and Blizzaga for ice based attacks (can freeze enemies for a short amount of time).

Haste
Functions: Haste is a magic that speeds up the actions of characters.

Slow
Functions: The opposite of Haste. Slows down the actions of characters.

Berserk
Functions: Berserk is a spell that increases the attack power and speed of characters, but makes them use physical attacks only.

Meteor
Functions: Meteor is a spell that deals random amounts of damage.

Firaja
Functions: Similarly like Fire, Fira and Firaga, but does more damage and has larger range.

Thundaja
Functions: Similarly like Thunder, Thundara and Thundaja, but does more damage and has larger range.

Blizzaja
Functions: Similarly like Blizzard, Blizzara and Blizzaga, but does more damage and has larger range.

Water/Watera/Waterga/Waterja
Functions: These series of spells have Water as their element.
The higher the level, the more the damage and range, like the above three spells.

Ultima
Functions: Ultima is an offensive spell that causes massive damage and bypasses any defensive magic.

Divine Ultima
Functions: A more powerful variant of Ultima, functions similarly.

Holy
Functions: A Light magic spell.
Does massive damage.

Flare
Functions: A counterpart to Holy.
Also does massive damage.

Ardor
Functions: An upgraded version of Flare.
Does more damage, has wider range and takes more MP.

That's pretty good .Oji.

And actually, Aero was damaging to opponent's. I remember that it was my Aero that beat Maleficent.

But anyway, in regards to the thread. I think Sora's spell assortment should grow as he does. His fighting system and magic did in KH2. It was designed to "look cooler" as he's a teenage boy, and that's what the teen ages is all about.

You always give "Mod" type answers PMF how come you aren't one?

Anyway Aero did do damage yall, like he said. Cast it and just stand in front of a heatless. It will get hurt.

Haste, Water, and perhaps some ground magic, and I'd be happy.
You can bring back Aero and KH1 Trinity Limit I guess.

Aero>>>>Reflect

So, aero, please.

And I'd be happy.
I liked reflect, despite it being quite cheap.
aha.

In KH1, against the Ice Titan, I enjoyed using Aero.
To make it more difficult.

They'll never let me be a mod. Even still, I don't want to be one. The ability to lock threads would be awesome, but then I'd have to be here all the time. Not only that...I like my pimp ass platinum.

I'd like Haste
Stop worked pretty well, but I think Sora's outgrown it
Any UBER spells like Meteor, Death, or one shot spells are unecessary.
Drain in Valor Limit after a combo maybe?
Osmose in Wisdom Limit after a magic chain.
Reflect should stay.
Aero was good, but, like Stop, I think he's outgrown it.
Magnet should stay.
KH2 Fire should stay
KH1 Blizzard should return
KH1 Thunder should return. [Similar to Zeus' thunder in God of War]
Water should probably come in.

Just to let you know, Holy and Mega Flare were in Re:CoM. Also, Qark, Aero was an offensive spell in Re:CoM. And Firaga Burst was a lot like Meteor.

YouTube - KH re : CoM - Sleight Exhibition Movie

Just to give people ideas.

Remember when some people thought Terra had Sandaga, but it was just Thundaga (Jap. pronunciation)? For some reason the idea of Sandaga sounds cool.

I like non-elemental spells for the next KH's like Flare or Scathe (however u spell it) like in FFXII. But hopefully they won't take as long to cast and won't make for some serious lagging like in XII.
