Re: The Fighting Game Threat: #scrubcentral 2.0
Oh really?
After taking a look at my recent videos on SSF4 i noticed i played against a lot good Kens and Ryus.
I only battled Fuerte one time. I found one Gen and he was really good(in my opinion and exp.)
I played Juri two times and Blanka another two. Juri players weren't that good but blanks players were really good.
Oh and i remembered that i played a Japanese Chun one time and won. Japanese players can be REALLY patient. We almost got two time overs.
Also about input lag on Marvel you're talking...i really don't have a clue cause i haven't played on 360 but i noticed it on SSF4
Kens and Ryus are everywhere online for the most part. They always have been and they always will. I don't mind them as I understand they are the basic characters people go for, and for that reason I tend to view most Ryus and Kens as noob characters unless that Ryu/Ken shows me some advanced stuff. That is probably just me being biased after all the noob ones I've seen in Ranked that don't know to not throw a Hadouken when Chun has her Hosenka.
I've met a decent number of Fuertes online through various modes (ranked, player, endless, etc.) though I can't recall meeting any really good ones that beat my Chun
As or Gen, I know I've versed some, but I don't recall the victor of the match or how either of us played.
Juri's are very difficult to play, and are almost never great online because Juri is a character that requires a lot of baiting and mix-ups, and in order to bait successfully you need to know the character you are up against and how the player uses them. In ranked, when you are paired with a random person, you can't possibly know how they play immediately, so she is a difficult character to use in my opinion (that doesn't mean she isn't fun xP). I find Blanka's very annoying as for the most part, if you are a good Blanka, you play like every other good Blanka, and that requires a lot of cross-ups with his ball. Blankas were never my strong point nor my weak one either, I just haven't versed one in a while.
I wouldn't say that Japanese players a patient as some characters that play pressure tactics can't wait it out like that. However, Chun, considering she is a footsies character, turtles and stays at a distance for most of the battle, so I don't know if it was that Japanese player or just how they played Chun.
Lastly, there was never any input lag for SSF4 on the PS3 that I knew of or ever experienced.
