Let's be honest, it just gonna be me and @Forsaken Shadow in here xD

The big ones up today! How do you feel about it?

Also side note, can we have sports back as a prefix, I'm sure we used to have it

Ima be honest it's too early in the morning for me to tune in for the whole thing 😅

So your team is Pakistan then? How long have you been a fan? Any notable moments, players etc?

Just about an hour left tbh, I'm dying over here with anxiety.

I guess it would be since 2009, I'm too young to remember anything before it. I got really lucky that year as the WC was in England, and we got to see the opening match at Lords so that was fun.

Really great atmosphere and we won the whole thing, I went to school with a lot of Pakistanis so that moment was crazy. The day before the final our religious studies teacher took a moment to ask how many Pakistanis were in the class, then he asked us all to pray we would win 😭😭. Great times.

But yeah, the last few years has been heartbreak after heartbreak. What's worse is its all politically motivated but that's by the by. Can't do anything about it now and just have to watch the cricket.

How about you? Big Kohli fan? Or Dhoni? Haha, India's lucky to have that calibre of batsmen.

I'm no longer as much of a cricket fan as I used to be as a teenager, but back in the day I was a huge fan of Rahul Dravid. Pure class, no bark all bite.

Too young? How old are you out of curiosity and if you want to share?

I did just catch the score and now I'm grumpy.

Well be grumpy no longer. Me, on the other hand, I'm on suicidewatch.

When i die, call the Pakistani cricket team so they can let me down one last time. I'm actually heartbroken

And I'm 25 but I know who Rahul Dravid is

Oh you're not much younger than I am then, I'm 28 so we should have plenty of overlap!

GG though. I won't lie that 10 years later the best part of winning a match against Pakistan is wheedling my Pakistani friends about it. It's been quite a while since the days when it used to define my self worth.

A big part of what pulled me away from the sport is Dravid retiring. I think he was probably the last of the mellow ones. The current team is mostly your average young aggressive man with a temper on the field. That and the fact that the biggest reasons for our success boil down to tons and tons of money being poured into the sport, and playing on pitches we like..

Honestly, seeing NZ all out for 75 made me feel more at ease with our defeats. It's the close defeats that really hurt, the curbstomps never feel as bad for some reason

At the end of the day, South Africa proved that no matter how hilariously Pakistan under performs - a South African team in contention for a trophy will endure mental gymnastics to make sure they lose the match.

True choker mentality <3
