The only things I was hoping more from in San Fransokyo were more party members (like 2 per section of the map, and when you go to a different section the party members swap), seeing more locations from the film, and "Immortals" (instrumental/actual song) being used during the upgrade scene.
THAT. Honestly the level design along with Baymax being the ONLY party member we get in this world were my issues with this world.

Don’t get me wrong I love Baymax and he’s a good useful party member for Sora especially when he heals Sora, but honestly it still baffles me as to WHY we don't get the other members of the team (Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred, and Wasabi), particularly Go Go and Honey Lemon as Party members? They all have unique powers and abilities during combat and their moveset is vastly different from the party members we got in KH3 (e.g. Hercules, Woody, Sulley, Jack Sparrow, Rapunzel, etc..) along with the fact they would help add diversity in the party member roster for Sora, but were just tossed aside in favor of Baymax by Nomura and the team, it just feels discriminatory. It also gets me more concerned if we wound up getting an Incredibles world in the next KH game and Nomura and his team will pull a "Baymax" once again and make Mr. Incredible the ONLY party member we get but not the other members of his family and I also hope we get more female Disney characters joining Sora’s party like Moana, Judy Hopps, Sgt. Calhoun, Elastigirl, Violet, Anna and Elsa instead of just getting ONLY one in a specific world Sora goes to. Because I’ve been noticing in the numbered KH titles we get a different female Disney character in Sora’s party:
1. KH - Ariel
2. KH2 - Mulan
3. KH3 - Rapunzel (until her hair is cut)

What they could’ve done is have SDG and Baymax team up or switch out with the other members of the Big Hero 6 (Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred, Wasabi) as temporary party members in a different section of San Fransokyo where they AT LEAST get some form of representation in combat for mob battles or a Boss Fight against a powerful Heartless.

I kinda... wouldn't be surprised if the other members of BH6 weren't even considered for party members to begin with, not because of anything particular about them, but simply because Baymax is the focus and main selling point. He's the most popular and beloved of the bunch. Even the name of the film was changed to just "Baymax" in Japan.

I kinda felt like Go Go was prioritized in KH3. She was there eating the ice cream with Sora and Hiro.

Regardless of it, making Baymax the ONLY party member feels he was chosen out of "Favoritism" by the development team and just simply pushed aside the other members of the team despite their powers and abilities being useful in combat in Sora's party

With Arendelle I can understand why Anna and Elsa weren’t party members for this world because it was for the sake of the actual movie, especially the latter as she wants to seek isolation and still doesn’t know how to control her Ice powers until the end of the movie. So I can respect why they didn’t make them party members and we had Marshmallow instead.

For The Caribbean, I understand why Jack Sparrow is the ONLY party member for Sora in this world and not say Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Barbossa, as not only because SDG know Jack from their last adventure and the latter three would've had a similar moveset to Jack Sparrow as their swashbucklers but also as it was adapting the third movie, a lot of things happened in the film especially with Will and Elizabeth. The former gets kicked out of the Pearl by Jack and the latter gets captured by Sao Feng.

As I said before I'm not being Anti-Baymax against Baymax all I'm saying is that they could've at least made the other Big Hero 6 (Go Go, Honey Lemon, Fred, Wasabi) as temporary party members for SDG + Baymax in a different section of San Fransokyo where they AT LEAST get some form of representation in combat for mob battles or boss fights.

You know, I actually wouldn't mind having Go Go as the secondary party member in Sora's group besides only just Baymax. Even her combat and abilities would make her stand out from all the party members we got in KH3 along with the other female Disney characters that were in Sora's party (Ariel, Mulan, Rapunzel).

Yeah, I never liked how every KH game only had 1 female party member. I actually thought KH3 would be the one to break the mold and... it did because it actually REMOVED the female party member after you complete the world. I guess they ,ade up for it by having Aqua, Kairi, and Xion as party members, but still... I wish Rapunzel was still on the party. Would it be that hard to give her another moveset without the hair?

Yeah it's odd KH3 is both the game with the most female party members and the least.

While we get more girls fighting at our side through outthe game it's always temporary and in the post game there are none.

I'm hoping Remind changes this a bit, so you can at least redo fights with the female party member at the graveyard.

Kingdom Hearts II onwards had the series settle into the comfortability of providing players with small rooms that are nothing but window dressing for combat. There wasn't the charm that Kingdom Hearts 1 had, where you could push furniture into walls to discover new places in Wonderland or you had to find the right rooms in the cave of wonders and break pillars in order to proceed.

With the Caribbean, I definitely felt a little spark of the Kingdom Hearts 1 level design return. There were so many places you had to go out of your way to explore (this is due to a problem with the plot, mind, since it only has you visit one island area and then Tortuga before you finish the world), each with little secrets and pathways to explore in order to collect treasures (that room with like, 9 treasure chests under the water was an absolute delight), dive break boxes, and search for Lucky Emblems.

The freedom it presented to travel wherever I wanted and explore was something that the Kingdom Hearts series had never really given out before. While worlds like Corona were charming with how you interacted with Rapunzel as she explored the land, it was on a set pathway which did have you go from A to B with little outside of that pathway to see.

San Fransokyo, on the other hand, didn't live up to what the Caribbean had put forth. The two do try and emulate the same kind of feeling - that of exploring a big environment, but San Fransokyo was ultimately a tiny fraction of the size of the Caribbean. The Caribbean had multiple little islands and side areas to explore but exploring in San Fransokyo was effectively just get to the top of a building and then head back down and repeat as you move across the map. There are layers, something that Kingdom Hearts II onwards did not have until Dream Drop Distance, which is fantastic, but it really lacked the feeling of properly exploring a city environment.

In a city, in a real life city, you walk the streets with a lot of people and go inside buildings and explore, dine, shop, and socialise. I understand the limitations with this and video games, as video games struggle to provide sand box areas with in-depth buildings to explore (unless you're Yakuza and you reuse the same map which then lets you work on inside buildings). Then again, this kind of expansion doesn't fit with the Big Hero 6 style. They are super heroes that skate, bounce, and fly. That doesn't really lend itself to indoors environments.

Maybe San Fransokyo needed another environment to explore. You don't really get to enjoy the bridge outside of a battle portal, and you're stuck in battle so you don't get to take it all in. SFIT is unfortunately omitted in not just appearance but name as well (NPCs refer to it as the University rather than SFIT and I'm baffled because it really takes me out of the world building). Another area could have promoted exploration and a new layout design as well. We could have had the city map and then a hybrid park / city area as well, and a park lends itself to exploration.

Pretty much that sums up my own opinion regarding the level design of San Fransokyo when compared to the other Disney worlds in Kingdom Hearts III.

I'm still optimistic that in the next KH games and we have worlds based on The Incredibles, Zootopia and Coco, they take it up a notch on the City exploration and especially let you go inside some of the buildings (which is a feature that was used in past games, but not in KH3), cause in KH3 we actually do not go inside the buildings and structures with doors (e.g. The Old Mansion, Rapunzel's Tower, Elsa's Ice Castle). Of course that will all depend on the software limitations and how much storage the next gen consoles (PS5) will hold.

I'm sure if they had more time to dedicate to developing these worlds then they would have (San Fransokyo was worked on from August 2015-November 2018, and unlike other games set in cities, that time was not fully dedicated to that world).
Not to mention that it was a last minute request by Disney and/or Roy Conli (The Producer of Big Hero 6) to be included as a world in Kingdom Hearts III and why we've seen little of the world until 3 years later which would explain Nomura creating the concept art at D23 2015 when the world was announced.

It's interesting that Big Hero 6 and Tangled we're the first New Disney worlds announced in KH3, but also the world's we've seen the LEAST footage of up until a year before release (2018).
