Don't you hate it when you can't find the next volume of the manga that you are currently reading online? I did that with Screaming Lessons, the Dissolving Classroom spin-offs done by Junji Itou, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Genji's Rescue Team. Well, the last I ended up purchasing the manga because I couldn't find the complete manga online.
I wonder why that planet abomination was attracted to Remina, it was because of it that her life was ruined. Why didn't anyone try destroying that planet?Speaking of Junji Ito, I got around reading Hellstar Remina again after three years. And man... the MC can't really catch a break. Poor Remina (the girl not the eldritch abomination) needs a hug.
Sort-of, it's related to my hate of finding something amazing but then finding out the author basically abandoned it/takes 4-year hiatuses.
Just watched Conqueror of Shamballa yesterday to finally finish the 2003 anime's storyline and it was a pretty fun watch. The ending was a little dissapoining and didn't feel like it wrapped everything nicely but was a fitting conclusion nonetheless.
Has anyone ever had to drop an anime or manga because the imagery or plot was too graphic?

Do you mean Violence Jack? I've thought about reading that, but it is best that I don't describe what goes on in that manga due to the M rating.Well it wasn't attracted specifically to the girl. The floating planet-sized abomination was interested in Earth, it's the entire human race just putting the blame on the girl. Which really sucked big time.
And they actually did try to destroy it by launching a bunch of nukes at it. It only reflected back the missiles with its ginormous tongue.
And regarding the question, I don't recall dropping a manga because of the plot and art was too graphic. Only western comics, and out of respect, I won't mention the name to save your sanity.
The only time I almost dropped a manga title because of said reasons, almost. Was "Mai-chan's daily life", that thing was wicked beyond words. Makes Berserk look like a shoujo manga, and hence why I built up a tolerance to more... "interesting" title because after reading that, every violent scene in manga seemed tamer to me. I still can't believe I read through that, and still have my mind intact.

Yeah, live actions usually go over well, especially with Junji Ito's Uzumaki. No it's not Violence Jack, but Violence Jack was fug-tripping awesome though.
The one I mentioned was on a whole different level of disturbing.
I even heard there's a live-action adaptation of Mai-chan in the works, I was like NO THANK YOU.
This is the stuff of nightmares, it makes me so weary of picking up anything new.
I can't say I have. Did you drop something/are you thinking of dropping something specific? I will say though, I've seen shows that have made me feel my body cringe. My shoulder tense up and I can feel my face twist. Very specifically I'll never forget this sensation when I watched the last episode/the end of the third movie of Berserk

What?! Is that even possible?

I kinda feel bad for selling my manga collection of Rosario Vampire and Rosario Vampire Season Two back at Hastings before it went out of business. I wished there was a season three of the anime since the anime just felt rushed and left out a lot of stuff.
Yeah, I am glad that they deepened his relationship with the girls along with build upon his vampiric powers. I am glad that he was able to get the school along with take control of the vampire blood that Moke infused him with, instead of just him relying on that amulet/bracelet thing that the former headmaster of the school gave him.Oooh... Yeah thank you for reminding me of Rosario Vampire. Not really a fan of the adaptation, it looked like a generic harem anime but I have heard that the Manga was leagues better. From what I've seen from random images, Tsukune is actually a bad-ass in the manga and the art style looked really good.
