I have just read the newspaper, and I just found out that our 4 time defensive player of the year, Ben Wallace is leaving the Detroit Piston's and is headed for the Chicago Bulls.
This is depressing news if you are a Pistons's fan. Yes I am really not happy about this.
This could be one of the reasons:
$10 million reasons
The Bulls will pay Ben Wallace about sixty million dollars for four years.
While the Pistons said that they were willing to pay about $40 million for four years. In my opinion, it has to be more than just money.
I can imagine the heart break of many children, fear the fro will no longer be used in the Palace, possibly for a very, very long time. Or possibly never. Even though Ben Wallace never really cared about scoring, he was an overall good basket ball player. He had all the skills you could ever get, but he was just brought up on defense and that is fine.
But he did say some nice words before he left. Here is what he said.
Next season we will see our former player in a Bulls uniform.

Ben Wallace said:I appreciate everything Detroit did for me and my family,
They gave me an opportunity to make a name for myself and we had an opportunity to win a championship together.
This is just one of those things. When you get a chance to sign a deal of a lifetime, it's tough to let it go.
