Nomura: His name appeared once in code in the 2006 Tokyo Game Show Promotional Video. Also, Ven is actually a nickname, his real name is a little bit longer. Sora, Riku, and Kairi's names can be seen as "Sky, Land, and Sea", the 3 armored people's names take the shape of different properties of the world "Water, Wind, and Earth".

Terra already stated that he hated Xehanort. If he hated him, why would he go through the trouble to avenge him?

Thats a good point. I stated that on another thread. Terra should be the Avenger of Ven and Aqua. And also why would he be called Master Xehanort? Is he a ruler of something or what?

I translated earth in a latin-english translator far before this came out - thus, I win. Yeah. Because none of the fans actually took the time to do this.

But that really doesn't make sense - I mean, why would he avenge Xehanort if he hates him?

I think what "avenger" means, in this context at least, is someone you are trying to avenge against. EX. Sasuke uchiha, from naruto, is an avenger, against itachi uchiha.

Needless to say, both are terrible uses of the word.

Exactly. It would not make sense the other way. Terra is getting revenge for Ven, not Xehanort.
