Alright, I was browsing through the 'Soundtracks' section of the iTunes music store a few days ago, and I listened to a preview of a song from the movie "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift." The song was called 'Tokyo Drift" and it was by a Japanese group of rappers called The Teriyaki Boyz. I did a bit of research on them and apparently they're trying to get popular in the Uniited States.

I actually kind of like the song/band. Has anyone else heard of the song or the band?

The only reason they became popular is because of Fast and the Furious 3. Now we have people that aren't Japanese, listening to this song, thinking they ARE Japanese.

The song is okay, much rather listen to Barracuda by the 5, 6, 7, 8's though.

Some guy on my msn gave me this song.
IMHO I don't really like the song that much. Probably because I don't really like this style of music. They sound like the Korean group 1tym to me.

I didn't really like it that much at first either, just because it doesn't really sound like the normal Jpop.. actually it's not that at all. But then I grew to like it. I've never heard of 1tym, maybe I'll look them up.

Well, I wouldn't go that far and say that people are pretending to be Japanese, but I think they definitely got a few more americans to start listening to "japanese rap." lol.

And never heard of the 5,6,7,8's either. I'll have to look them up.
