Why do you kill?

Did you ever take into the fact that ending it's life was the same as ending a person's?

I don't think I've killed anyone before.

This topic makes me lol. xD

I kill time because I'm bored.

Killing is the act of ending life.

There is more life to this planet than human life, is there not?

Have you crushed an ant on purpose? Swatted a fly?

Why do you do these things?

You didn't notice my unintentional pun, did you? :/

I kill Time because I'm bored?

Anyway.

Yes, I have swatted a fly before. Why? Reflex.

I did notice it, I just didn't really care to mention it.

Did you ever take into the fact that ending it's life was the same as ending a person's?

Yes, I have, and have since tried to cut down on what I do.

I only kill an insect if there's a chance it will bite me or otherwise hurt me.

It's inevitable. How much bacteria is being killed when one thoroughly washes their hands?

Death is also inevitable for everything.

Accept certain trees, maybe. >>

I'm not questioing whether it's inevitable. I'm asking why one would purposely kill a being, with the intent just to kill it.

As said, if it will hurt me.

Though, if I can transfer it from inside to outside, then that works also.

In general, humans are cruel. We'll think little of what we percieve to be insignifigant.

I kill insects if they get inside, because I don't want them to reproduce. If it's outside, I typically leave them alone.

Animals usually kill on instinct, for food, or to protect themselves.

We, on the other hand, don't think that way all of the time.

It depends on the person.

I honestly never took into account anything regarding killing insects and other pests. In all honesty, now that you bring this up, Time it really doesn't make much sense why we randomly squish ants and swat flies. I guess its just our nature to do stuff like that.

For the hell of it, when it comes to insects anyway, anything bigger is out of my jurisdiction (and anything with more than 6 legs creeps me the f*ck out >.<). Considering it would be animal cruelty for me to kill any animal I don't hunt.

Though if it were between starving and hunting for food than I'll take out my boom stick and start kicking ass and taking names >8D

Yeah, it's hard to call when it comes to survival. The fact that people hunt for game is what bothers me.

As far as raw instinct, don't we naturally tend to act aggressively towards something weaker?

I killed like 1,000 ants and 7 flies today. They messed with me,my food and my cat so I killed them because I felt threatened.

Like for sport or just in general?

Does it matter?

As far as raw instinct, don't we naturally tend to act aggressively towards something weaker?

Not at all. Do you want to kick every lap dog you see? We really aren't that violent of a race overall, and unlike other primates, naturall have empathy.
