Tasering

Is it just me or has there been a LOT of cops tasering people lately?
Or it is just that this has always been going on but was 'popularized' by the Andrew Meyer ("Don't tase me bro!") incident?
I for one think these cops gotta stop abusing their power by tasering everone in sight. I agree with some that tasering is just a form of torture, which the US promises not to do.
What say you, fine members of KHI?

Haha, in other countries they don't use Tasers. They either use the spray or they whoop them with their batons and then there's even the shooting in several countries. Tasering isn't so bad compared to the spray.

Probably because the people they've been dealing with need to be tasered? I haven't heard much about it, but then again I almost never watch the news. :\

Has anyone actually saw the full Andrew Meyer video? As in, not the heavily cut Fox one? There was totally no need for him to be tasered.

^Yeah. I have a nasty habit of catching vids that turn into Overblown News Stories.

Just more proof that you shouldn't trust the media.

And yeah, it is pretty unsettling.
