If they gave Dark Aqua a proper plot, man that would have tied in perfectly with
They wouldn’t have to provide the entire world, but joining Rapunzel on a quest to solve the mystery of her hair would make for a fun world, in my opinion. There’s a lot of heart, emotion, unique locations and antagonists.
Also give me a proper Big Hero 6 world where I can fight Noodle Burger Boy and Supersonic Sue.
I wonder if Nomura and Square Enix have considered what will happen when the amount of properties that can be used in KH dwindles right down. Fans get sick of reusing worlds with repeating plots, there are Disney movies that don’t work, and with some worlds being more modern the producers and directors may be against original storyline’s.
Sure, we’re gonna get Coco and Moana, but there’ll be a point where world selection reaches a bottle neck, and I hope that they consider properly reaching into the TV space. Lilo and Stitch the Series, Tangled the Series, Big Hero 6 the Series, Hercules the Series, Aladdin the Series... they all have unique stories, locations, and antagonists and could provide a breath of fresh air into those worlds that aren’t just, like, Jafar for the 8th time.

I've heard this a lot lately. I haven't watched the show, is it that good? What happens in it?
Tangled the Series is a show set between the movie and the Happily Ever After short.
Rapunzel is adapting to life as the princess of Corona but she yearns for adventure. Mirroring Mother Gothel, her father is intent with keeping her locked up inside Corona’s walls. Rapunzel breaks out one day and encounters mysterious black rocks which, upon touching, restores her long, blonde, hair.
The first season deals with Rapunzel coming to terms with the responsibilities of being a princess while the show teases a big, mysterious dark force.
The second season see’s Rapunzel and her friends leave Corona and explore the world in search of answers to the black rocks. The show gets dark, especially when it brings in a new enchantment that turns Rapunzel’s hair and eyes black when she’s reciting it.
The third season has Rapunzel come back to Corona to prepare for war. It’s currently airing, and the entire series is due to wrap up with a 90 minute final in a couple of weeks.
The show provides answers for Gothel, it features a classic light vs dark story, has humour and heart, and the themes tie in well with everything Kingdom Hearts tries to achieve.
If you have Disney+, the first two seasons are available to watch, including the movie pilot (Before Ever After).
Once Sora returns to the Realm of Light I could see SDG showing up in Kingdom of Corona during the season 2 period. Season 2 had a variety of interesting locations that I would love to play through

Goodness! That sounds like quite the show. Does Rapunzel open her heart to darkness and get a cool dark suit with a Heartless emblem on it when her hair goes dark? And who is she going to war with?
Haha, I’ve been keeping an eye out for any KH Easter eggs but nothing so far, not even a cool dark suit with a Heartless Emblem on it
Thankfully, she only goes dark when she recites the Hurt Incantation
I can’t say who she goes to war with, that’s a big spoiler that would ruin two years of build up hehe

Welp, count me among those who would be cool with the adapting the series for a future KH game. Corona was a cool world and I enjoyed Sora's friendship with Rapunzel, so if there is more stories to tell here then count me in! Dark haired Rapunzel sounds like she'd fit in perfectly with Kingdom Hearts' theme of darkness! Let's use it

Oh wow, they can have Corona be one of those worlds that show up in every entry of the next trilogy. Each visit can be each season. Hopefully they can afford Mandy Moore to voice Rapunzel.

Okay, not picking fights, I'm going to say out their I love Tangled the series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, I enjoyed it for it's characters, the lore and the adventures that Rapunzel and her friends experience from within Corona and outside Corona.
However, I'm going to be honest, if we come back to the world they need to be a way to have the original characters (Cassandra, Varian, etc..) in the style as the movie or simply change the world's visual style to the style as the show but 3D style.

Literally almost all of the Disney worlds prior to KH3 were 2D films that had to be turned into 3D. Your argument is absolutely moot.

Agree to disagree, but the thing is that with Tangled the Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, this is a animated television series based on a 3D animated Disney film which is a much different story when compared to the 2D Disney films that had been turned into 3D and became Disney worlds prior to KH3, including the DisneyToon Studios elements that they incorporated (Experiment 221 from Stitch the movie in BBS, The Country of the Musketeers world in DDD, Lumpy from Pooh's Heffalump Movie in 100 Acre Wood in KH3).
Secondly, it will fall down to IF Nomura and his team want to utilize elements from the show and if they are interested and wanting to have Kingdom of Corona return for future KH games.
I do see elements of the other television shows based on 2D films such as Lilo & Stitch the Series (including Leroy & Stitch) to be very likely included in future KH games, when compared to Tangled the Series. I'm just sayin,

Me too I'd love for Mandy Moore to return as Rapunzel in a future KH game, just like how Tate Donovan returned to reprise his role as Hercules since Kingdom Hearts II onwards after he didn't voiced him in the first game (Hercules was voiced by Sean Astin in the first Kingdom Hearts game).
She is still doing This is Us which is the reason why she didn't came back to reprise her role as Rapunzel in Kingdom Hearts III, so It will come down to her schedule and availability.

Nomura and his team are experts in their fields. Is it less likely to appear than, say, another animated film's world? Sure. Does that really matter when Nomura pulls stunts like what's happening with Yozora? No. The sky absolutely is the limit. Kinda like what you said, if they want to do it, and have Disney's permission, they can. Simple as that.
I don't think you're capable of helping yourself, but this seems a little uncalled for.

I think the issue at hand here is the level of detail available in KH3 and future games. All the other KH games that used 2D worlds in a 3D setting were not as detailed (which is why I wish we got more 2D film worlds in KH3). I remember people being freaked out by the Mickey/Donald/Goofy designs shown early on in KH3's development. Characters from the Tangled TV series may not have that much of an issue because the original film was 3D, but I am curious about other 2D films/TV shows being used in future games. I really want them, but I wonder if they can be pulled off appearance-wise. That's kind of what made me think Nomura didn't choose any 2D worlds besides Olympus and 100 Acre Wood - Olympius being a world that he had way more liberty to do original stuff with and not stick to the source material in terms of locations and 100 Acre Wood being a tiny world with a filter over it.
In regards to antagonists there is the Stabbington brothers who got snubbed by Marluxia

I haven't watched this show, likely WON'T watch this show if I'm being honest, but I listened through the songs and they're all bangers. What is Disney doing with Alan Menken???? I'm happy for fans of this show that they get Alan Menken songs, that's amazing, but... THIS is what they have Alan Menken doing? A TV show??
In any case, I'm always down for clever asset reuse. I enjoyed meeting Rapunzel in KH3 and having her back to her long-haired self would be a pleasure if they added this show into... KH4? Oh god, we're really talking about this.

I know this isn't the best argument considering the lack of princess of heart worlds in KH1 (out of the 7 we had uh...3 if I recall with actual worlds? Until KH2 added Beast's Castle and BBS added the rest)
But Rapunzel is still a New Seven Hearts. Assuming it's not a plot point Nomura just throws aways for no reason (and that's unlikely since Frozen 2 is dead set to become a world at some point, it's honestly inevitable), they'll hopefully do something with her, and what better way than to use this series to do so?
You've got antagonists a'plenty, though mentioning any of them is a spoiler for the show, especially the current season one(s), and all of them would make for excellent boss fights. They could even tie in the whole Darkness thing somehow by drawing a parallel between Rapunzel's Hurt Incantation (even if its not inherently evil) and Ventus harboring 'Darkness' (which we also don't technically know if it's evil or not), since they both supposedly have a heart of pure light.
It would also go back to Larxene's point about how Elsa could choose light or darkness - if there's any truth to her words, perhaps the Seven Hearts don't need to necessarily be pure light - just 'pure'. Be that light or darkness.

Honestly, I do see elements of the other television shows based on the 2D films such as Lilo & Stitch the Series (including Leroy & Stitch) and the Lion Guard (based on Lion King) to be very likely included in future KH games, given that we got the Experiment 221 for the Deep Space Level in Birth By Sleep.
Although Olympus was literally a loose retelling of the movie once we reached KH3's events of the world, although Olympus story is still debatable cause their was some continuity errors, changes and retcons the world and if this was "set after the movie's events" given KH1 and KH2's story for Olympus, but I'd say this was literally following the events of the movie.
With Monstropolis, Halloween Town, San Fransokyo and Toy Box, it was easily obvious that the story events of this world were original and took place after the events of the original movie, especially the former 3.

Holy cow, this is fantastic. Just want to say I agree to the show being added. I dare not say anything regarding villains and what not, but hot diggity dog the potential boss fights in this world and the story are just sitting there waiting to be used.
I also would like to say, in regards to models, I’ve seen many 3D fan artists create models of what these characters would look like if they were in the film, and my word they are phenomenal! So the possibility is there, hope Square capitalizes on it! I can now safely say this is one of my most wanted worlds now in KH4 and beyond.
