Our story takes place on the world of Auldrant, a planet composed of Fonons: a material energy found in all things. Long ago, a new kind of Fonon was discovered, but great chaos was brought with the finding. By using this newest Seventh Fonons, one could read the future. One such Seventh Fonist, Yulia Jue, put in place a future for the world for thousands of years to come. This prophecy of the future's set path became known as the "Score" and is documented on stone tablets which were scattered throughout the world. The nations of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear and Malkuth have fought over the fragments of these tablets for generations, each uncovering them and hoping to discover the future before the other.

the year is ND 2017. Luke fon Fabre, the son of Duke Fabre of the Kimlasca Kingdom, is 17 years old. He is the Light of the Sacred Flame who is destined to bring prosperity to Kimlasca. But since being kidnapped seven years ago by the Malkuth empire, he has been kept confined to the Fabre family mansion. The shock of the kidnapping erased all of Luke's memories prior to the event. Luke finds himself emersed in events that will change the world

.....:....After the events of Tales of the abyss......:...

2 years later after luke returned back to the world of auldrant life has become peaceful once agin. and luke has found himself finally (alive) with a purpose to be. Guy cecile is now a noble of Grand Chokma Jade has been giving rank over the entire malkuth forces Tear has become the represenitve of Yulia city as well. as of now Natalia still travels the world as a kimlascan represenitve and Anise has reformed the order of Lorelei and is now fon master guardian of Florian the new fon master. All has been going well these past years until recently the planet storm became active agin. when thought to have been completly stopped. Oracle knights are sent to investigate and return to report no strange events occuring.

Luke feels it is his job to find out what is causing the planet storm to become active so he goes back to find all his freinds to investigate this seemingly impossible event.

Fonic Frequency

The World

Fomicry
* A field of science created by Dr. Jade Balfour, or now known better as Jade Curtiss, as a means of cloning people and objects. Originally, fomicry was performed using the first six fonons, but after the results proved unstable, the Seventh Fonon began to be used exclusively. Replicated objects almost always have some sort of inherent flaw that makes them inferior to the original, and, on most occasions, even the "fonon frequency" differs between the original and replica.

However, on rare occasion, it is possible to create "perfect isofons" which share the exact same fonon frequency. This is only seen twice within the story: the first isofons being two cheagles and the second being Asch and Luke. Perfect isofons are granted a number of useful conveniences, such as the ability to communicate telepathically over great distances or to lend one-another power. However, at the same time, it comes with a heavy price: the Contamination Effect in which the the fonons and elements of matter separate and fuse together. Perfect isofons are subject to this effect and are therefore unstable. Eventually, perfect isofons become one through a fusion event known as the "Big Bang.

* The Score: A form of prophecy that is given by "scorers". Though there are many different types of Scores, the most pivotal (and, arguably, the most accurate) is the one written by Yulia. Yulia's Score (also known as the "Planet Score") was developed as a last-ditch effort in order to save the world from being swallowed up by poisonous miasma. It dictated the next 2000 years of human history and, in the end, promised to bring prosperity to the world. Because of this, the world at large has begun following the Score religiously, even forming a church (called the Order of Lorelei) to regular read the Score to the masses.

In truth, the Score is merely the memory of the planet (also known as Lorelei). The Score, as dictated to Yulia by Lorelei, is written in six parts on objects known as "fonstones". At the time in which the game takes place, all of the fonstones, save the Seventh, have been found and read. However, it is later revealed that the Seventh Fonstone does not actually promise prosperity as originally believed. Instead, it actually predicts the destruction of Auldrant and the demise of humankind.

This revelation, in addition to mankind's controversial dependence on the Score, is what motivates Van Grants into rejecting the score and striving to destroy it. To this end, he intended to replace the entire world with replicated people, creatures, and landscape in order to escape the "Score of Final Judgement" by ensuring that the Score is fulfilled while creating a new world on top of the old.

Fonic Arts

The world is a grand place, but the source of power in the world is known as fonon. They are basic particles which make up all living and non-living matter. There are seven types of fonons altogether, each representing a different natural element.

* First Fonon: Shadow: Dark
* Second Fonon: Gnome - Ground
* Third Fonon: Sylph - Wind
* Fourth Fonon: Undine - Water
* Fifth Fonon: Efreet - Fire
* Sixth Fonon: Rem - Light
* Seventh Fonon: Lorelei - Sound

These fonons are used in sync with the bodies spiritual energy to use multiple techniques with are called Fonic Artes: Abilities which draw upon a person or thing's innate Fonon/Fonons and allows them to cast spells, heal, or attack with power provided by that Fonon/Fonons. These abilities can be very powerful, and the nature of any said attack is ultimately different from the last. Some use spells, but others just manipulate a fonon to increase their power, or launch explosive attacks and the abilities that are gained are vast and complex, though those who mainly use fonic artes are called fonists.

The body is able to use fonic artes due to Fonslots: The part of a person's body that allows Fonons to enter and exit the body--permitting the use of Fonic Artes. The seventh fonon is out of place however, and is used in sync with abilities, known as Fonic Hymns, these are hymns sang by Seventh Fonists which use the only the chanting portion of Fonic Artes, combined with melody. Because of this, they are generally used for healing, and other such defense related fonic artes, but there are still numerous attack hymns.

Low- uses basic fonon skill, or weaponry to cause damage. Usually not many hits, or very powerful.( up to 10)

Mid- uses more fonic ability, or weapon usage to attack an enemy. More hits may be involved, and these are more powerful that low skills.(up to 10)

High- Uses the highest manipulation of fonons, or weapon mastery. Attacks contain massive power, damage, and each move is a work of art on the battlefield.(up to 10)

Hyperresonance: A very powerful ability that is used when a fonist unlocks all of their fonslots at once, allowing a release and convergence of power. A hyperresonance is a very dangerous ability, as it normally cannot be controlled completely, or has terrible after affects. In essence, a hyperresonance allows its user to tear apart the fonons of any matter they are using and then reconstruct them in a manner that transforms it into a massively powerful destructive force.( one allowed)

Here is something for the Daathic Fonic Artes, though this doesn't exactly flow with TOA's version.

Daathic Fonic Artes: This is a very manipulative version of a fonic arte, that combines one of more fonons into a horrific attack, or spell that does not sync with the fonslots in one's body. Originally fonic artes have 7 divisions, and categories go hand in hand, such as the Third Fonon of wind also involving lighting, and the Fourth Fonon of water involving ice, but daathic artes do not follow this rule, and so make power that is not meant to exist, and causes extreme damage to both the user, and the opponent, possibly tiring the user to the point at times where death can occur, but the effects are different for every person, though never anything good...........(up to 3)

Name:Luke Fon Fabre

Appereance:http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f230/roxas06/Tales_Of_Abyss_Ending_by_MuEnLi.jpg

Personality: Luke is a very caring person he puts his freinds ahead and always looks for the best in people. he used to have a bad temper but has now become a wise young man to all and a loving freind.Whever a fight ensues he vows to protect and destroy the opposing force. Luke loves to joke around and break the ice in tense situations. He feels there is always a light at the end of looming darkness

Weopons/Fightting style( Single sword wielding (Albertas arcane art swordstyle)

Bio: Luke is the only son of a noble family of the Kimlasca Kingdom. Since a kidnapping incident when he was young, he has lived isolated in his father's manor. Because of the shock of being kidnapped, he has lost the memory of his childhood. With his family's wealth, he has all of life's comforts, including training with Van, a soldier and teacher he admires very much. He is terribly selfish and ignorant of what the real world is like, but eventually grows out of this and wishes to become a hero. His only hobby is swordsmanship, and though rough, he is quite skilled. He has the interesting ability to create a "hyperresonance" on his own with the power of the Seventh Fonon, a sort of power that usually requires more than one person.

The reason why Luke has no memories is that he is a replica. A replica has no memories of their original, essentially starting their existence as a blank slate. The "original" Luke is actually Asch. The first time Luke realizes this, he is devastated, but later realizes that this means he can become his own person. Following his part in the fall of Akzeriuth (due to Van's manipulation), Luke is abandoned by his friends because of his selfish, spoiled attitude. Coming to realize his own faults, Luke vows to change and tries to redeem himself for the destruction of Akzeriuth. Though he eventually regains the trust of his comrades, his guilt, and the weight of being a mere replica, continues to weigh on him throughout the adventure.

After defeating Van in the Absorption Gate, Luke begins to suffer from an inferiority complex, believing that with Asch alive, he has no reason to exist. However, when he makes the decision to sacrifice himself (along with 10,000 other replicas) atop the Tower of Rem, Luke finally realizes his own self-worth and will to live, though this seems to come too late, as he learns he is fated to fade away regardless. Luke defeats Asch on Eldrant, settling who will go on to face Van. When Asch is killed by replicated Oracle Knights in Eldrant, his power flows into Luke, allowing Luke to use the power of a second-order hyperresonance. Finally, the party meets Van atop Eldrant and defeats him.

Tearfully saying goodbye to his companions, Luke uses his power and the Key of Lorelei to free Lorelei. Meanwhile, he and Asch seem to merge in a process called "The Big Bang". After the ending credits, a "Luke" emerges from the remains of Eldrant. Though it is never revealed if it is Luke and/or Asch, the individual can be seen carrying the Key of Lorelei on his back in the same manner in which Luke carried his own swords, being accessible by a left handed person such as himself

What, are you a STALKER or something?
Well it was either Asch or Luke, and you already took him, so... XD

Name: Asch (the Bloody)

Age: 19 (originally seventeen in the game)

Personality: Asch at one point in time was cheerful and pleasant, though due to his kidnapping seven years ago, he’s done everything possible to squash those feelings, or at least that side of his personality.

At best, Asch is cold, and those around him are just fools, at best. He honestly feels he outclasses almost everyone, and only reluctantly takes help when offered. Especially in combat situations, because Asch knows there is strength in numbers. He would much rather work alone, and proves to be unreliable in team situations.

However, that doesn’t stop his kind nature from showing through from time to time, though he’ll scream and claw and threaten to kill things as if it would prove otherwise. Though there is precious little that he holds dear, he won’t let harm befall them if he, himself can help it.

However, Asch despises replicas, because of his past, the fact that one stole his life as Luke fon Fabre. He makes his dislike clear with immature name calling, especially of his own replica Luke, because there is no easy way to express his resent and pent up rage when he doesn’t feel Luke deserves being killed.

Also, Luke tends to talk himself down a lot. Asch calls him names, because if Luke is supposed to be him, why should he give up so easily?

Appearance: Current Appearance

Original Appearance

Fighting Style: Fonist Warrior (excels in both Fonon use and close combat)

Bio: Asch is the real Luke fon Fabre, and the original Light of the Sacred Flame. Seven years ago, Van kidnapped him. The replica Luke was the one brought back to the Fabre Manor, while the original Luke joined the Oracle Knights and chose a new name for himself: Asch, symbolizing the charred remains of the Sacred Flame. He and Luke have the same fighting style, as Van Grants taught them both. Admiring Van greatly, Asch only rebelled against him after he revealed his plan for a replica world, something Asch could not go along with, as he had grown to despise replicas—especially Luke. Though Luke is blameless, Asch hates him for taking his true life from him; his family, his status, and the attention of Van, their beloved teacher. Near the conclusion, Luke defeats Asch in a one-on-one battle in Eldrant to determine who is the "real" Luke and should go on to defeat Van. Later, while trying to contact Luke via mental link, Asch is stabbed and killed by replicated Oracle Knights, telling Luke that the rest is up to him before he dies. His death enables Luke to use a second-order hyperresonance to save the party from a trap.

After Van's defeat, Luke uses the complete Key of Lorelei as Eldrant begins collapsing. Asch falls through the collapsing ceiling, and is caught by Luke. It is speculated that Luke and Asch merge together in a phenomenon called the Big Bang. Apparently, that may not have been the case...

This is a piece of internet history. I really like the layout of everything, and I love the lore that's been setup. It's a shame this never came to fruition.
