Weapon Type: One-handed or both-handed Cross spear..and his feet. You know for close combat.

Sword Skills:
•Minimal Side Step Defense - A defensive skill that simply involves an evading side-step. It has higher counterattack speed than parry or block, but it involves greater risks if it fails.

•Howling Octave - (8-hit) Five high-speed continuous thrusts then cut downward, upward, before another full force upward cut. 40% Physical, 60% Fire.

•Whirlwind - (1-hit strike) A basic spinning strike.

(Tried going for everything that a spear user could use.)

Passive Skills:

•Listening - The ability to hear sounds from further away than normal. Higher level of skill grants the ability to hear through locked rooms.

•Detection - A sixth sense, allowing the player to notice enemies and secrets from a distance. Greater mastery allows detection of monsters in «Hiding» status and primitive booby traps, such as snares and pitfalls.

•Acrobatics - Determines a player's jumping height and the ability to perform aerial maneuvers. Bottom level is the natural jumping height for the Player.

•Howl - Attracts the attention of NPC monsters and increases a player's Hate status effect. Often used by tanks to lure enemies to the player.

Real Life Appearance: Noel looks like Andrew Garfield. Okay I wish. He has lightly tan skin, with a medium framed upper body, especially toned Lats. His eyes are bright hazel with thin eye brows. He has no facial hair what so ever. His haircut is rather fluffy, usually coming out to public with his disheveled/spiky brown bed-head hair.

Personality: Noel and Nowl are completely like each other. He doesn't have a separate personality when he's in SAO. He lives a really indeed a carefree life. He enjoys being well with others and indeed always wants them to be happy. Even if he has to take the sadness with him. All in all he rather be selfless instead uve' selfish. He thinks quite a lot, always tries planning how his day should be, but never realizes his day is better when he just stops thinking.

Bio: Noel, as himself never really payed attention towards what happened all those years ago. Uve' course it was terrible what happened, but how old was he back then? 11? He was probably paying attention to Yu yu hakasho or something.

Although now since he's older, he's been busy with life. Currently in College, all he has to do in his schedule is, study, go to work (bakery), and practice in dead early mornings for the college swim team. Now that the season is over though, he has a bit uve' time do what ever he wants. Sadly instead uve' hitting up the town and do The Worlds End with his mates, he decided to play the game.

Other:
-Did I forget to mention he hates soggy bread?
-Since he works at a bakery for a while he should be able to bake bread no problem in the game.
-His nickname comes from how his headband's length is uneedingly long to where in battle or walking about it looks like he has two tails.

Themes: I'd love to put music, but it's not like you guys are actually gonna play it when I'm doing something heroic..

Sword Skills:


Targin' Charge: (Shield Skill) Similar to the Sprint skill, this skill is only usable by characters that have a shield equipped. When activated, the user is sent on a mad dash forward, powering up the attack of their weapon. The charge ends as soon as the weapon is swung or the user skids themselves to a stop. Though it can cover distances quickly, it is difficult to turn. Bashing into an enemy will also cause a momentarily stunning effect, along with damaging it.


Morning Rising: A powerful upwards strike that lifts opponents into the air. Good for a combo starter. 50% physical, 50% fire


Setting Sun: A powerful downwards strike that forces opponents into the ground. Good for a combo finisher. 50% physical, 50% ice

Passive Skills:


Block: Blocks an attack with an equipped shield. If timed properly, it can cause different ailments depending on the shield equipped. Currently, Viola's default shield can cause the attack to bounce back and deal minor damage.


Musical Instrument: The effectiveness with which a player uses an instrument. Some instruments can have status changing capabilities.


Battle Healing: Recover low amounts of HP over time during battle. It can be leveled up by constantly getting one's HP into the red zone.


Avenger: This skill activates once HP reaches the yellow zone. All stats are slightly increased depending on how damaged the user is. It starts off at a miniscule 5%, and can reach a dangerous 300% when near death. Risk vs reward.

Real Life Appearance: Zoey is a somewhat short girl, only clocking in at 5'4. She has long brown hair that is often a forgotten mess, much to the annoyance of her roommate. She has dull and entirely unimpressive dark brown eyes, pale skin, and a small hardly visible freckles. Though her roommate keeps giving her purple clothing, Zoey is often seen wearing louder colors. Her favorite outfit is a lime green shirt with a dark violet jacket and blue jeans.

In-Game Appearance: A sharp contrast to Zoey's naturally dull outward appearance, Viola took the opportunity to change things up a bit. Instead of the short girl, Viola is instead, an even 6'0 and enjoys the few extra inches of height. Her hair is short, pink, and—stil--
very messy. Her clothing is a surprisingly simple dark brown tunic. Her current shield is a circular brown metallic shield with four bolts nailed in the front and a large silver circle in the center that's just begging to be upgraded with a spike.

Personality: Zoey is a person that likes to go with the flow. Instead of rocking the boat she is usually just fine letting it sail wherever it wants to go. She'll do it all with a smile as well, being able to take verbal beat downs and disappointing news easily and still be able to laugh within the next minute at the person's face when she asks “Yeah, but what does that mean?” sarcastically. Outgoing and, depending on who you ask, slightly annoying, Zoey is a cheerful person who currently just wants to play video games.

Bio: Zoey was largely unaware of the happenings during the launch of SAO, and VRMMOs in general for a large portion of her life. Instead she was much more focused on honing her skills with the violin. During high school she was a large part of her music club, often fighting another violinist for control of the title of the school's best violinist. After much practice, she was finally confident with her playing skills, regardless of how she performed when compared to others.


Though she doesn't talk about why, she and her best friend moved away from their hometown during college and moved into a small apartment together. They both attend the same college that focuses on music and arts, and they are making a name for themselves as respectable musicians. They often perform duets, one on the violin and the other on the piano. Recently, Zoey has felt as though she has been losing her touch with the strings. Instead of doing the sensible thing and practice, she instead has decided to take up video games, much to her roommate's dismay.

Other: She plays violin, her best friend and roommate plays piano, and together they often serenade the apartment complex to sleep by accident.

I have my first post up, I gave an example of how I want you to describe a created monster in your posts. On a side note, I will be absent a couple days this weekend, but hopefully back on sunday, so don't worry about posting anything too quickly.

Edit: side note, for anyone who wants to know how they pronounce the monsters name. I imagined it sounding like coal and ings together. So coalings basically.

Another thing, I know I said i wanted the posts to be short and not too long, but please for your first post put a bit of detail and imagery in for starts sake.

So, my post was basically done and then, to put it simply, I lost the entire thing. I will probably redo it tomorrow, I am too frustrated to retype it right now.

I think it's the fact that we have to create our own 'floor' or area. Let alone this being a first post, I had my share uve' trouble to find a good setting, that's reasonable to be fit in SAO. Let alone to the liking for everyone in the RP. Hope that makes sense. Since we're so far apart, there's not much interaction between anyone. There should be a meeting ground or something. Or at least limit everyone's access to only 2 or 3 floors instead uve' the currently 21 floors.

^Which is why I didn't mention a floor number in my post. I can easily shift to a needed floor or someone else can just happen to be on the same floor as my character. But yeah, opening posts are deal breakers depending on how they're handled.

There is an auto restore, but I could not get anything back for some reason. It's always been finicky for me anyway, I think I might start typing my initial posts in word.

Edit: Okay, I got motivated enough to retype it. I am going to sleep forever now.

I personally thought that with the given floor numbers that everyone would probably stick in a group of floors close to each other, like between 21 and 18 or so, which everyone pretty much did.
