Okay, I'm not sure if this is the right place to put it, but I...personally want to share an idea I had, in regards for ideas for one of the final 2 characters for Smash. I was thinking of the idea of...a Ni No Kuni representative? I haven't seen anyone ever bringing up the idea, so ima put my boy Oliver in the ring. I see him as the first full-on mage in comparison to Robin. There's also the idea of switching in and out like Pokemon Trainer, only Oliver will switch in and out with his main familiar, Mitey. Keep in mind I don't know....MUCH about Smash so I might falter a bit with his controls.
The main character a young boy named Oliver comes from Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. A 2011 Bandai Namco role-playing game. It has allot of publicity due to its sequel, Ni No Kuni: Revenant Kingdom, as well as an upcoming movie, (I believe) manga, and a remastered edition on the Nintendo Switch. Putting Oliver as a representative for Smash would make the Ni No Kuni franchise grow even further. (As well as its DAMN amazing soundtrack to choose from in both games.)
That being said, Oliver, unlike Robin, is a character that relies solely on his Magic and (just like Pokemon Trainer) his main Mighty Mite Familiar, Mitey. In the command box, just like in the Ni No Kuni game, Oliver will have a thinking bubble to choose to either stay in battle or send Mitey out. However, you can keep Mitey for a certain amount of time before his stamina depletes. When it does, it automatically swaps you back to Oliver until Mitey's stamina is back up. Mitey and Oliver, just like in game share the same health points.
Oliver's movesets will of course be just like in the game. His Neutral Attack will be his in-game attack where he slaps his enemies with his staff. Due to the fact that he is a mage, he won't do as much damage. Now compared to Mitey, however, his neutral attack will be a rapid jab with his sword, dealing a significant amount of physical damage finishing with a knockback slam with his shield.
Oliver's Run Attack would be Magic damage. He coats himself in a circle of flames, and he rockets to the opponent, dealing significant damage and sending the opponent quite far. Mitey's attack would be of course himself rocketing to the enemy and head-butting them dealing physical damage.
Oliver's Tilts would consist of his weaker spells from his spellbook, the Wizard's Companion. His down tilt would be his Pulse spell stunning his enemies with a shockwave, his wand would be coated in ice as he delivers an uppercut for his up tilt, and for his forward tilt, Oliver would send a fireball to the opponent's way. While Mitey's tilts would consist of a powerful down slash, upper slash, and cross slash.
Oliver's Air Attacks would be coming from his Unleash spells from the Wizard's Companion. These consist of 5 monsters summoned by him. His up smash would be his Howling Wind unleash, making Oliver summon an ethereal version of Cerboreas, making the spirit unleash a howling wind towards the opponent, sending them flying. His forward smash would be his Gladiator unleash, making Oliver summon the Gladiataur, making the best send a powerful bull charge to the opponent, dealing powerful damage and knockback. His down smash would be his Windfall unleash, making him summon the Guardian of the Forest, and making him send a powerful low shockwave, sending enemies back when caught. Mitey's smash would be based off of his tricks. His forward smash would be his Super Slash attack, sending a powerful horizontal slash. His up smash would be his Cut Loose skill, where he frantically sends a wave of slashes, sending them back with powerful speed. Finally how down tilt would be his Slash & Burn skill, sending a powerful vertical slash to the opponent, not only sending them back but dealing overtime fire damage.
Now, we get to Oliver's spells integrated in the Air Attacks. This contains Oliver's basic spell set from his spellbook, the Wizard's Companion. Oliver's neutral air would be his Fireball spell, sending a fireball from the air, dealing additional overtime damage. His forward air would be his Frostbite spell, sending a blast of ice forward, freezing the opponent in place. His up air would be his Arrow of Light spell, sending an arrow to the opponent dealing light damage from the air, and his down air would be his Burden spell, weighing the opponent down, either sending them flying through the force, or sending them stuck to the ground like King K. Rool's. Mitey's air attacks would be that of simplicity. His forward air would be a slam from his shield, his back air would be a slight back jab attack, his down air would be a downward slash, his up air would be an airel slash, and his neutral air would be a forward cross-slash.
Finally we get to Oliver and Mitey's special attacks. These specials however cost mana. So be weary. Oliver has a total mana of 429. He and Mitey shares that mana. Oliver's specials are used by his most powerful spells in the Wizard's Companion. Oliver's down special would be his Evanstar spell, summoning from down below dealing an explosive impact to those in range. His neutral special would be his Mornstar spell, hurling Mornstar at his opponent, dealing explosive impact to those in range. His side special would be his Healing Touch spell, buying back a small fraction of the % point he has lost. His up special would be his Astra spell, blasting from the air a powerful aura of light, dealing powerful damage, being one Oliver's most powerful spell in his arsenal...and also the most costly spell. Finally, his Final Smash being Oliver's powerful Miracle Move, Oliver's second most powerful spell: Burning Heart, making him summon a devastating sun-shape ball of fire making it swirl around the opponents, dealing tremendous damage and guarantee knock back.
Mitey's specials would be based on the remaining sword tricks he can learn. Keep in mind that once again, he and Oliver shares MP. Mitey's Neutral special is War Cry, a buff spell that increases 20% of his and Oliver's damage for 30 seconds. His up special would be the traditional Cut Loose skill that sends of flurry of slices to enemies in the air. His side special would be his Whirligig skill, making the creature spin around, dealing a flurry of damage to those caught in his spin (which you can control). His down special would be his skill called Super Smash, that deals a powerful downward slash. Finally, Mitey's Final Smash is HIS Miracle Move known as Slash Dance. A powerful, longer-range, and ferocious version of Cut Loose, dealing damage to ALL enemies.
Kirby Hat would of course be Oliver's hair, and Mitey's hair and horns.
Mitey has no alternative costumes. But Oliver's costumes will consist of the following:
Oliver's casual Motorville outfit,
Oliver's Ni No Kuni outfit & cape
Oliver's swimsuit shorts
Oliver's winter jacket
Esther skin (Blonde hair, pink outfit & purple cape)
Swaine skin (Brown hair, red outfit & green cape)
Marcassin skin (Black hair, green outfit & purple cape)
Evan Pettiwhisker skin (Blonde hair, cat ears & crown, blue outfit, red cape, & tail)
Keep in mind though I love Smash, I can't say that I haven't picked the game up. So I don't know MUCH about the controls. Tell me your feedback and...yeah Oliver for Smash.
