Instead of having a challenge, you could give yourself the challenge in the game by having low card numbers, don't level up your health, don't use sleights, etc.

When seeing a Shadow when in the world, avoid them if you stike or even touch them you go into a battle.

Oh, did everyone forget that the EXP comes out in little blobs? Blobs that you can run away from? Sure, you'd still get some EXP, but less than just collecting it all.

Well you have to get some exp. You have to fight the heartlesses to get map cards and it's really hard to dodge all the exp blobs. But yeah, just try and limit the battles and have a lower amount of hp.
