Steam Deck

Hi everybody! I don't generally post much, but I'll lurk every once in a while. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone wouldn't mind telling me their pros and cons to owning a steam deck? I am debating between purchasing one in the near future, or potentially building a PC. What I'm looking to play on it in particular is Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4. (I have other indie games in mind that can definitely be played on a Steam Deck no problem, however, the Sims is something I miss greatly from my younger days.) Idk a lot about the steam deck, but was hoping for some insight on here.

I don't have one myself. Even the low end price has been too steep for my budget ever since they've launched. It's been rather sad that I had to pass on the clearance sales of the 64GB model because of both moving and dental expenses taking priority.
