The Game...
StarCraft has been a game of many loyal Blizzard fans. Even the fact that this game is almost a decade old, it still has many fans that keep true. Well, now is the day they get what they wanted. Blizzard, in the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2007 held in South Korea, revealed a sequel.

The game still holds true to its main three factions: Terran, Zerg and Protoss. The single player campaign will take place 4 years after the Brood War, and all of the main characters from predecessor will be included, Blizzard saying the Mysterious Xel'Naga race being key to the plot.

This game will all about massing units on your opponents, so heroes (like Warcraft 3) will not be included in the fight. Since this is a mass warfare game, there won't be a limit to how many units you can select, so you may expect a huge battle. It was shown, these battles may include as much as 300 units on screen at once! Resources are still key and many units from the predecessor will make an appearance, but this doesn't mean there won't be any new units. Things like the Mothership (Protoss) have been shown, which can simply decimate entire armies. The only bad thing is you can have only one of these at a time.

The release date is still up in the air, but hopefully this won't become another Starcraft Ghost -_-
Many fans should be considering a wait for the long waited sequel.

Some New Units Revealed...
Not only was it shown there will be new units (which is an obvious) but there are some enhancements to the returning Units. The Zealots (close quarter combat units from the Protoss Fraction) will be able to quickly close a gap between an enemy, leaving less time to get kill by long ranged units.

Protoss
Blizzard shown a majority of Protoss units than any other fraction, but who is complaining?

Stalker
This ground unit can attack air units and ground units. Also warps short distance within line of sight.

Phoenix
A fast airborne scout/combat unit. Having an overload attack that allows it to attack all nearby enemies can prove to be a useful rushing tool, but leaves the unit temporarily useless. I am sure we will see these guys a lot in armies of Protoss =P

Colossus
Tall, spider-like unit which is capable of walking over other smaller units and terrain features (mountains, buildings, ect.) This unit has a sweep beam for taking out small ground units.

Warp Ray
A ship unit that has a laser weapon that inflicts increasing damage the longer it strikes its foe. Good against heavy armored units.

Immortal
Slow tank units that have a force field to protect itself from heavy damage, but also leaves it weak against smaller ground units like Zerglings and Terran Reapers.

Mothership
Protoss faction can only have one of these. It can warp into locations and create localized black holes for destroying flying units. A time bomb ability which slows down units in its radius. The planet cracker attack that targets ground units with several lasers.

Terran
There was hardly anything revealed about the terran besides the Reaper. Another ground unit, akin to the firebats and marines, that have jetpacks. This will probably be another useful rush unit.

Zerg
Nydus Worms
Sand worms that come out of the ground to form Nydus Canals.

Banelings
Zerglings can evolve into these land bound units that make powerful explosive suicide runs on enemy ground units.
