That's great news. From the Star Wars series in production this is the one I'm most excited for.Yes, the premiere is 70 min then ever week after should be 35 min episodes.
I'd imagine they'd develop out of those cookie cutter archetypes. It just made sense to portray them that way for the back door pilot so people could place them for that episode.I hope for great thing from this. Hot take the bad batch characters were so cookie cutter, archetypes that I didn’t care for them.
However the time period and the people they meet has me interested and excited. Seeing Fennec and Saw again is a huge plus.

Its so weird seeing Nala Se helping the Bad Batch after the way she treated Fives in S6. Speaking of Kaminoans...Omega is definitely the Kaminoans attempt at cloning/engineering a force sensitive clone. She could sense Crosshair's feelings and even sensed his arrival at the hangar. Her lucky shot is a bigger hint after you realize that this series likes to point out there's no such thing as luck, its the force. Very curious to see what develops of her.
I knew Crosshairs was going to go on the side of the Empire, but I was still upset by it because I was immediately attached to his character.
Yeah. I thought he would turn on his own as well, but it was obvious in hindsight when he said “a good soldier follows orders” when Order 66 was first issued that something was wrong.Honestly i was expecting him to turn on them out of his own free will. How he turned on them was way worse than expected, seeing it seems he was aware of his will being overwritten.
Now I want that to be a thing. This episode doesn't quite align with the little I knew of Kanen's origin, though I might be mistaking, seeing I never really did read that comic. I assume it's probably just something minor like the small changes they did in Clown Wars season 7 to Asoka and Rex.

Also after the rest said that he has never had an issue with disobeying, it dawned on me that it was his chip.
Still sucks ;_; I’m ready for my heart to be broken because it’s clear there is a tragic story being set up with him breaking free of his programming.
I feel like this could be a metaphor for losing knowledge by looking down on others and dismissing their work as nothing special. The Empire has a strong anti-Alien streak, so I kind of wouldn't be surprised, if part of Tarkin's issues with the Clones is that they were made by non-humans.Like clearly clones with Force abilities could be made, but then you have Gideon who needed Grogu’s blood for his own experiments and then there are Palpatine’s really piss-poor clones that he used his dArK sIdE science to create. And whatever tf the comics are doing with Luke’s hand. You mean to tell me Moff Tarkin was against clones then Moff Gideon and Palpatine were scrambling to make viable but less effective clones when the Kaminoans made Omega? And had viable cloning technology?
(I know the Empire didn’t know about Omega’s abilities as of this episode but I’m still kind of astounded at the ineptitude of the Empire lol)
