That was just a scene in the intro of KH2.

If you're referring to a CGI scene (very realistic graphics), as Chaser said, that would be the intro, but if you're talking about the deleted scenes from the original KH2 trailer, than, well, it was deleted. That is to say, if you're referring to the Hallow Bastion scene where Sora and co. charge up at the Organization.

its from chain of memories. if you have the final mix version its on the 2nd disc. if not then its on a seperate game (chain of memories) which is due out in america on the 2nd december =) its also on GBA.
i think in the beggining of KH2 namine was saying to roxas that it happened after KH1 battle and a year before the KH2 game. its when she took apart his memories. he's running up castle steps (a new castle in the new game) hopefully it'll make more sense when the new game comes out =) xx

the unusual spot
It was from the intro and the game where it happened is in Chain of Memories. They added that so people would know, even a bit about what happened to Sora and co. before they slept.

The stairs represent Chain of Memories when Sora and Co. had to go up the 13 floors to face Marluxia. That's why he appears fighting him while he was going up the stairs. Also Riku was shown because he went up the stairs on the basement level, unaware that Sora was on the upper levels of the castle.
