In one of the Re: Coded interviews Nomura already said that the matter of thanking Naminé is not fully settled since she and Sora didn't meet in the real world to do it.
Well, if you consider what Roxas had for a life yet he also had not much reasons to smile, but he does occassionally.
No comparison to Sora and Ven though, that's true.
As a proof:
It's a scene from KH2 FM if I remember correctly.
Yeah, because he has only so often reason to do that...it's not like he was in the best company 90% of the time.
But Ventus, that ball of cheerfulness may indeed be able to teach him something about having a brighter outlook.
Not really destroyed I would say but also as much damaged as Ven's. The x-blade was incomplete, that prevented their hearts from being fully destroyed.
He may be also inside Sora, that would give credibility to the line when Xehanort asks Sora if he's harboring hearts (plural!) as well in the trailer.
Vanitas might also be with Xehanort though, given his golden eyes indicate a close connection with him.

Ventus is in a coma sleep because he destroyed the x-blade, which destruction caused a grave injury to his heart just as Vanitas warned beforehand.
Ven's heart is not incomplete, it's heavily wounded.
The scene can be interpreted that way but there were already many discussions on Vanitas's fate (and therefore what happened to his heart of darkness).
There were originally three possibilities:
1. Ventus absorbed Vanitas and then the backlash of the destroyed x-blade caused the deep wounds to Ven's heart.
2. Vanitas remained separate and faded away due to Ven defeating him as well as the x-blade, then his heart would have gained the same wounds than Ven's because both hearts were linked to the incomplete x-blade. Vanitas's dark heart would then have needed to find a "residence" as well (or as Chaser said, maybe faded into the RoS).
3. Ventus destroyed Vanitas completely. => That possibility can be scratched out with our newfound knowledge.
No he would not just have woken up because he destroyed the friggin' x-blade. Vanitas warned him beforehand that this would happen.
The forging was started and Ven's heart was already a part of the weapon, destroying it meant the destruction of his heart, regardless if complete or not.

Say what this stuff is true that vanitas is in a org 13 black coat and he some how resides in the realm of sleep ok now this is were im basing my teroy off of ok xemans is a nobody with a heart a heart that can wiled a key blade yes but he chocie is not to use it so he found a new wepaon instead aka the etheral blades so were did he find them or does all keyblade wileders have the power to use them?
that or he found them in the realm of sleep becuse if you notice that in kh2 final mix braig hears some one talking to xemnas in the room of sleep yet all there is just an armor and a keyblade what if the room it self or eaven the chain is like a portal to the realm of sleep ok this is were my theroy gets all backfliped

But where do the Etheral Blades come from? If he's trying to say Vanitas and Xemnas can use them because they can weild Keyblades, then Sora, Mickey, Riku, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Eraqus, Yen Sid and Master Xehanort should be able to do it too when they can't.

Right and since it took the fusion of Vanitas and Vetus to create the X-blade destroying Vanitas would destroy the X-blade thus his heart would no be complete.You also said that if his heart was complete he would just wake up. That's what I monicked.

It sounds plausible, actually. Just because we haven't seen them use it, it doesn't mean they can't. I'm highly doubtful for Sora and Riku, probably TAV as well, but perhaps Yen Sid and MX do know how to use them, but have not shown them yet, or are unable to.

It could be that the requirement to use the Etheral Blades is being able to wield the keyblade once before in your life, and then losing that power. I'm not sure about what happened to Vanitas' heart after he was defeated, but if he was unable to wield the keyblade afterward, for whatever reason, then the etheral blades would fit nicely.
With Xemnas, he doesn't have a heart, therefore he can use the etheral blades. (which could possibly mean that any keyblade warrior's nobody could be eligible for the etheral blades, except unique cases like Roxas)

This throws up another question though...Vanitas did include his heart fully in the x-blade as he wanted it, Ven didn't and therefore resisted, screwing up the fusion making it never complete in the first place.
So how the heck was Vanitas even able to survive that? Fail-safe mechanism with his connection to Xehanort?
I doubt Ansem SoD could use Etheral blades, as he surely would have used them if he could.
In the final battle of KH1 he used a double-bladed Soul Eater though (Darth Maul-style), not etheral blades.

I didn't say he used them, i said he might of known how to use them. And maybe told Vanitas about it.
Ansem SoD may have been unable to use them. There must be some requirement to use them. It might be just that Heartless cannot use them. Seeing that a nobody is a shell of someone's former self, it may be possible for them (i.e Xemnas)

As far as I remember the etheral blades are related to the element/attribute "nothingness" so a requirement to use those might be that the person/being in question has an affinity for that element or can somehow use that attribute in an other way.
Vanitas is not a nobody though, he's a full being, so if one wants to argue he can use etheral blades (which we never see him do btw) they can't be "nobody-exclusive".
