Huh... I figured they spent some time on the islands, you know with MDG before they all left, and to have some time with friends, but I suppose it probably wasn't too long :/

It's as important as his jaw line.
If KH3D starts during Ansem & Aqua's talk during the BBS secret ending, than that means it was a whole year.

B) The BBS secret ending takes place right after KH II, not a year after it. Ansem the Wise comments that it was a year since he first met Sora.

Ansem the Wise first met Sora during Chain of Memories, and one year passed while Sora was asleep.
The Birth by Sleep secret ending takes place right after Kingdom Hearts II.
All in all, it was a year after Chain of Memories that Ansem and Aqua talk.
Do we know that it was right after KH2? All Ansem tells Aqua (because all that he can remember) is that it was his second time in the Realm of Darkness. He could have (and probably did) wander to the Dark Meridian the same way she did, and who knows how long that took. He had to find the Organization coat somewhere, anyway, before he got there.
Not that any of this has any direct bearing on what's been happening in the Realm of Light because we know time passes differently in the Realm of Darkness. Aqua should be ten years older by the time she meets Ansem, but she obviously hasn't aged very much at all.

The meeting between Ansem and Aqua takes place just after KH2. Ansem is on the shores of the Realm of Darkness for the second time (the first time being after Xehanort banished him and before he emerges in Chain of Memories). How Ansem got his hands on a coat is not that hard to speculate seeing how he was able to provide Mickey and Riku with one, him having one for himself wouldn't be too out of the question. His amnesia doesn't seem to affect his entire memory so he could remember the properties of the coat and put it on. I pretty sure Nomura said that the scene took place after KH2. Where's those BBS Ultimania interviews?...
Plus I'm positive that its also been said that time passes differently in the Realm of Darkness than it does in the Realm of Light.

I think everyone agrees it takes place after KH2, it's just a question of how much time passed in the Realm of Light relative to how much time passed in the Realm of Darkness. I think we can be fairly sure that Ansem didn't just appear sitting on that rock the moment after his machine exploded and then Aqua walked up and started talking to him.

Well there was some time from when his machine exploded to the end of KH2.
Not a lot, but there still was a substantial amount of time.
The scene between Aqua and Ansem happens right after KH2, so think of it as happening when CODED starts.
His machine exploding caused him to lose bits of his memory and sent him to the RoD.
I don't disagree that this is the case, I just don't know of any evidence that it is, either. Also, we have to take into account that time in the Realm of Darkness appears to function slower than in the Realm of Light; so for the time it takes anything to happen in the RoD much more has already occurred in the RoL. We can't know the exact relation between the two, but if Aqua has been in the RoD for ten years without any noticeable aging occurring (maybe a year or two, at most), we can assume that the relationship is fairly dramatic. In the time it would take Ansem to reach the Dark Meridian, assuming that isn't where he appeared after the machine exploded, as well as find a coat, presuming he didn't already have one somehow, and then find a rock to sit on, and then wait until Aqua found him, however long that took, who knows. Half or all of Dream Drop Distance might have already gone by. I don't necessarily think that is the case, but do we really have any way to say otherwise?
