To be honest, I like the plasticy look. It makes them look synthetically appealing. Also, Master Plasticnort can definitely substitute for a Ken doll.

Mabey thats the lmits of the 3ds. The cgi involved this time reminded me of final fantasy 9 but slightly better. It will be nice when we can get back to home consoles.
 Can I see your definition of slightly?

It's not beta stuff, but it is still an unfinished game that will get come clean ups at the end. :\
Have they ever altered a CGI scene 3 months before release? Especially over some minor aesthetic difference?

The first one definitely. It's just more detailed and looks more realistic.
After seeing this, I can just how bad it is. At first, I thought it was just the freaky Kairi, now this plastic look. Why Enix? Your CGI was just fine before...why...change it all a sudden :|

I absolutely loved the cgi in the trailer, so reminiscent to how it was used at the end of kh2 even though I can remember after watching it thinking, wow they looked plastic o-0. Whats exciting (I hope) is that the little bits we saw are just a shade of what will be included either at the beginning, during or end of kh3d.

They all look more plastic-ish in general, MX just stands out more with the lighting going towards his face.

Look at Xemnas's hair.

It's nice that we got to see more characters in CG nonetheless though. Marluxia and Roxas were the only org members in CG until now I think.

I thought Kairi was the least plastic out of all of them TBH, her eyes just had awkward lighting.

Plastic is the new style.

I have to say I liked most of the characters in CGI, and if you asked me to point out one that I thought looked odd, I wouldn't point out Kairi. I think she looked really good in CGI in the small parts that she was in. Personally, I did not like MX or Axel very much, but I did like Kairi.

I think the next console KH will have a lot more CG scenes, and the gameplay will be somewhere between what it is now and CG. Just don't expect the whole game to play like the KH2FM+ secret ending.

The whole game in CGI I bet not even the PS3 could handle that...not to mention battles would lag immensely.

If they really would re-use the engine from FF Versus XIII for KH III I could imagine at least FF XIII-level graphics though.

I agree with Seph, the PS3 itself can't handle that good of graphics for that long, maybe the PS4 can? :O and i also belive it maight have the FF XIII engine, but enhanced

not a goodidea if you ask me...if they should go into CGI use it sparingly, stick with CGI openings and endings and if ever they should doit between those two points, go for certain vital points in the story like in FFX

Hmm.. I would just like to say that I made a VERY good point as to why a KH game shouldn't and CAN'T be entirely in CGI, and everyone ignored it... -_-

(made sure it was the right thread this time lol)

lol I can just imagine an entire game looking like that taking up over 6 discs on the PS3. Then if it was ported to the 360, it would be over 10 discs xP

Like for instance kh2fms secret ending ruined that part of BBS for me just because I knew how epic the scene should have/could have been

I love the CGI in the games, but I don't think it would work at all if it were to be throughout the whole game. But then I wonder how they would go about improving KH's graphics without taking away that style the game has, while also making it look suitable for a console like the PS3.
