Depends what you are looking for.
If you are looking for a decent fighting game, then yes.
If you are looking for a game that will keep your intrest for a very long time, then no.
Can you be more specific on what you are looking for?

Yes it is, sir.
While you're at it, purchase Dead or Alive as well.
That, and Soul Calibur, are the best fighting games.

Soul Calibur IV wasn't one of my real favorite games on the 360, but beating the living snot out of everyone as Yoda was totally epic.

That, and you can't get grappled as Yoda, which is a little glitchy/cheating, but meh. You can also download Darth Vader for the 360 version via the Marketplace, and although cool, he is really a technical, slower fighter in my point of view.

Good game, but compared to CoD: MW2, not so much of a replay value for me.

You want to have fun? Play SSBB. Unless you have played it already...then giving the Soul Calibur series a try isn't too bad I guess.

How can you compare it to MW2 if it isn't even in the same genre?
but isn't soul caibur just really powerful and fights only last a few seconds
Pretty much yes. Personally, I don't recommend it.
Again, what are you looking for?

It depends. Which Soul Calibur are we talking about here? I and II were pretty good, but III and IV . . . not so much.

like said earlier i depends. also it depends on which version

my favorite out of the series is 2....
had 1 on the dreamcast 3 on the ps2, 2 on the GC, and played o 4 on the 360.
2 imo is way better then the rest.

other game you should look into

SSBB - alot of fun but for some reason i feel like i had more fun with melee....
SFIV - its like the only fighting game that i play right now... - Watch out for vets online specially if you are a rookie.. they might make you not like the game.
virtural fighter 5 - another great fighter... think soul calibur without weponds and its dirt cheep now

I'd say yes. SC4 has lots of customization and each attack requires good timing which makes fights interesting and long lasting.. It's pretty solid imo. The online mode is a plus to. But the matching is bad. Sometimes you'll face a guy who's really good and it may put you off.
