how does one become a premium, platinum or any other type of member besides a normal member for that matter?

Platnium - i think it's 3,000 posts

And you can edit your title when you reach premium.

As for moderation, don't ask to be on the staff. It's one of the best ways to insure that you won't get on staff.

The others are right about the rest though, 1,000 posts for premium (red), and 3,000 for platinum (silver).

Raise posts, I believe to Premium is 1,000 posts (still trying to do that), Platnium about 3,000 posts. Yes, that's it. Just don't spam. Oh and welcome! =]
