When I watch the OP and EDs for Kingdom Hearts 1, and then I watch the KH2 OP I notice he looks different (and better) for some reason *is shot*

Newer game -> Better graphics. That's the best I can come up with.
Its just because KH2 has better graphics. its just like if you compare soras model in KH1 to his KH2 model, they look a lot different.
Though its also because Nomura's style changed a lot between KH1 and 2. look at the character artwork compared to each other. Styles change over time.

Well...the first and second releases are at least four years apart, so the graphics would be better. Plus the fact that, you know, he turned 15. Yen Sid remarked about how 'small' his clothes were on him after he woke up.
apart from the graphics and the fact that he's older in KHII ,he looks (in my opinion)more elf-like. so does riku. i thing nomura altered they eyes' size to give them a more grown-up look but in my opinion the sora and riku in the opening and ending videos were not well portrayed.
MY OPINION THOUGH!
He's still the Sora from the first KH in the opening, smartass.
Graphics are just better, that's all.
